The robot does not slow itself down. After a long dive, the robot began to rise to the surface. Without one hand, the balance is slightly reduced. When he arrived at his destination, he had to be helped by two people dressed in black to rise to the surface. Together with the two men, the robot ran towards the truck parked at the entrance of the tunnel. A truck with coolers and pictures of fish.
The robot went into the back without being ordered. The other two ran to the front.
The driver got up first. His partner later, walked leisurely, while blowing his hand. The air is cold. It's almost midnight. For a moment, his mind floated onto the pier that had been recently destroyed by the robot in front of him.
“Hei,” said as he opened the truck door. “Do you think the robot will also not shoot us?”
“Bah! No need to ask too many questions. As long as we obey the boss, we'll be fine.” The driver, who was fatter, tried to start the truck engine. The truck is not a new truck but the engine is always maintained and can go fast.
“Hopefully it's true. Some field guards are getting caught. That worries me a little.” His small colleague got into the car and put on a seatbelt.
“Bah! Forget about it.” The driver stuck his head out the window. He yelled at another man next to a black SUV right in front of the truck. “We are ready. Show me the way!”
The man was wearing a black suit. Her hair was gel-treated and neatly styled. His appearance was so different to the previous two people who only wore knit jackets and hats. The man did not answer or get in the car. He even spread his eyes.
“Hei! You hear me, don't you?” The driver shouted to overcome the roar of the truck engine.
The man is still there. He rolled his gaze to the dark side of the tunnel. The tunnel has not been used for a long time since the toll road more and more. The roads have eroded a lot, the lighting is barely lit, and there are no surveillance cameras. This man finally waved his hand.
The driver pointed at him but the man shook his head. He turned to his partner. “I think he called you,” said.
“Hah? Wh-wh-what for? He couldn't have told me to get in his car, ’kan?”
“Where do I know? Justdoit! Faster, better. I don't like to carry stuff like this behind.”
The smaller man jumped down from the truck. He ran around a little on the guy in the suit. “Hey, supervisor, why call me?”
The man in the suit stepped closer then took out a gun and pointed at his head.
“Hey, hey! No kidding! What wrong? Why you—“
“We have guests.”
Slowly, the man who was being held turned back. He saw a black-clothed figure coming from the same direction from where they took the robot. Astonished, this man could only gawk at how the robot jumped out of the truck to fight. The fight did not last long. The robot got a few laser shots on the chest that instantly knocked it down.
Seeing that the condition worsened, the driver drove his truck. He left his comrades behind. The man in the suit was only silent while the man he was holding could only tremble.
“Zetta Sonic, nice to meet you. You look different.”
Alex growling. He stepped slowly while carrying a laser gun in his hand. He can't shoot innocent people. Both deserve to be arrested, not killed. “What game are you playing this?”
“We only run errands.”
The man in the suit reacted even a little. His shoulders dropped and the thin smile on his face disappeared without a trace. “I'm sure you called people wrong.”
[You better stop your game. We already know everything.] Jayden's voice came from the other side of the tunnel. The ICPA robot floated closer and pointed a weapon at him as well.
That doesn't scare the guy in the suit. He looked back, towards the robot without lowering his gun at all. His smile returned. “I'm curious as far as what you know, ICPA.”
[You committed a lot of crimes and dropped all the charges on your dead twin, Roban. Baron, you're Roban himself. You're the mastermind behind all the crimes on Roban's behalf. You are also the one who kidnapped me.]
“It looks like someone finished his homework.” The man in the suit chuckled. He removed his black glasses, leaving his face exposed. “Once upon a time you spent finding it all, ICPA— Ah, no. Jayden. Very slow of your work. I'm even getting tired of playing, you know?”
[Is that why you started looking for information outside Sinde as well? You bought information from a Kloster tribe traitor?] Jayden's tone of voice began to rise.
“Traitors? That's the name his tribe gave to a good informant like him? He should have gone from them. The world needs people who want to share.”
[You used their technology to commit crimes—]
“No. I use everything I have to protect what I love. Caitlin.” The baron turns to Alex when he pronounces Caitlin's name, making sure the boy hears her. “You took the thing he wanted the most. You know how devastated she was when you were declared a Zetta Sonic?”
“Wait!” sahut Alex's. “I don't understand at all. You love the girl who works at ICPA. He's a law enforcement officer and you're a criminal. He doesn't know anything about this, ‘kan?”
“He knows Roban an international criminal and knows Baron who loves him.”
“You tricked him! If Caitlin knew—”
“He won't believe you. He trusts me.”
“You're crazy!”
“I protect him. I can't let him get hurt fighting criminals and I obviously can't let him die. Nor do I want to prevent him from pursuing the dream that always excites him. So, I'm going to make this world his playground. But, you... You screwed everything up!” Baron screaming.
“You're not just crazy, you're a maniac!” Alex started running.
“You are not aware of the situation?” The Baron's question made Alex stop. “I can shoot this guy whenever I want.” The man in front of the Baron began to sob.
Alex stop. Hands clenched. “Let go of him!”
“Of course. I'll let her go after she drives away from here.” The baron told the man in front of him to get into the driver's seat. The man walked slowly without daring to argue. The baron himself opened the back door. His hand holding the gun is now pointing behind the man's head. “Don't think of chasing me. If you believe I just blew up the pier, you better believe I could blow up somewhere else. Like Marcus Anthony Hill mansion or Fleur de Lis.” hotel
“What—“
“Your mother, Alicia Remnant, is in the hotel's presidential suit room with her affair. It seems I was too kind when I planted a dozen bombs there. Four should be enough to blow up that room.”
