Gavin is leading the way. They passed through the other deserted passageways until they reached the room where the girls were held captive. The door was slightly different from the door they had passed through. Not about size, but about safety. The door has a wheel in the middle. The material is thicker too. Right now, the door had been agape as if an invitation had come in.
Gavin had a chance to throw a glance at each other with Alex. Even if both of them were wearing helmets and could not see the faces of one another, they were ready. Gavin nodded, Alex replied. Then he walked alone through the door in stealth mode.
Behind the door, there was a large room. The place where Alex was standing was a balcony with stairs down on the right and left sides. Under him, he could see three modified containers. One side was replaced with bars, a kind of portable prison cell. The shape reminds Alex of a circus animal cage.
Alex doesn't like that, especially when he sees every girl in it. They may get decent food, a bed, and comfortable clothes. However, they are still in prison and are about to be taken to a foreign place. Not to mention the muscular men who always stand outside the bars, teasing and giving dirty words.
Alex was disgusted by those people. Without further ado, Alex turns off his vanishing mode. As soon as his figure was seen, the nearby crew who were also on the balcony shouted hysterically followed by consecutive shots.
No ordinary bullet could actually penetrate Alex's combat uniform. The barrage of bullets only made scratches on his uniform. Alex walked forward without waiting. He was aiming for the jaw, doing the moves he had learned from Tiger. His fists made the crew instantly sprawl. Alex remembers the attack clearly. Especially after seeing Gavin practice it in front of him earlier.
Two more crew members who were also on the balcony ran over. After Alex enters their firing zone, shots are fired. People are not smart enough to learn from their friends mistakes. Alex jumped at the two, awarding another punch, leaving them both sprawled out quickly.
Next, Alex jumped down from the balcony directly to the ground floor. The sound of her landing provoked a loud noise, like dropping a heavy object onto metal. There are at least five people down there. Just like the two people on the upper balcony, these people attacked Alex with rifles.
Alex had thrown his eyes at every girl. They looked at Alex. There was confusion mixed with horror there. Zetta Sonic is not something you can watch every day. With the help of Dragon Blood, Alex moves on. The person who became his target cursed when the figure of Zetta Sonic was suddenly in front of him. Not yet had time to speak another, Alex punched him until bounced back.
The next opponent came. He gave with another fist. Alex bowed only to get another opponent to come. He also turned around. His feet kicked the first opponent to the point of falling. Alex welcomes the arrival of his second opponent. This guy has left his rifle. Instead, he pulled a big dagger at Alex.
Even if the dagger won't go through his uniform, Alex dodges. His quick movements made the opponent falter. His speed made him seem to disappear from sight. Alex catches his opponent's hand and then stomps it until the dagger comes off. Training with Tiger allowed Alex to do such things. Before the opponent made another attack, Alex had already kicked him into the wall.
The attacks on him did not stop there. There were still two others coming at him, taking turns. Alex retreated so far that he found a wall behind him. He put up the horses, prepared to beat up his opponents. He did not need to use a weapon let alone a rocket that was already on his back. Those people are nothing more than subordinates. Not a significant difficulty at all.
Alex is after the biggest man at the end. Aided by the power of Dragon Blood, Alex pulled the man's arm and threw it at the fellow beside him. Both fell easily.
Another one pulled out a dagger. Alex did not escape. Her dagger hit her shoulder. However, instead of giving damage, the tip of the dagger was even broken. His opponent did not give up. Throw away that dagger. Confidently, the man smacked his own forehead into the Zetta Sonic helmet. The opponent in front of Alex fell unconscious with a bruise on the head.
“Silence, you!” Alex nags at Jayden.
[Sorry, sorry. Consider it entertainment. A lot can happen outside of plan. This is one of them. Isn't that right, Gavin?] Jayden recalled Gavin's conversation with Alex in the previous room.
Gavin also said. [Hey, I'm not the one who can see what Zetta Sonic is seeing right now. I don't know what's going on in there.]
[Ups. Excuse me. Let me tell you what's going on.]
As Jayden goes into detail about what happened, Alex continues to beat up the crew. Jayden became an eye for Gavin. He explained what happened next. How Alex makes a spinning kick that makes Tiger proud and how he snatches the opponent's dagger.
[He has potential. Not ripe. But he has potential.] Gavin repeated the same thing. [By the way, why choose an agent this young to be Zetta Sonic? Have a longer life?]
Gavin's question made Jayden mutter. [Actually, not really, anyway. To be more precise, it was as if we had no other choice.]
“Hei! I can hear all your talk, you know!” Alex can finally talk. His breathing was still wheezing after beating the sixth crew on the ground floor. He had miscalculated at the beginning. “Listen, yes. I was chosen because I was chosen. One in a million.”
[I just asked, a little curious.] Gavin defended himself. [You're done in there? I'm going in.]
“Wait! Don't!” alex said quickly. “Let me release the hostages first. Reinforcements from their side will be coming soon. You understand, ‘kan? Back then, you were just here to help them escape.”
Alex took a quick step, approaching one by one. He broke the key easily. Before the girl gets out, Alex asks her to hang on for a while there until she gives him a cue. He asked the three girls to remain in their cells. He also promised that there were partners who were ready to help outside as long as they would wait for a while.
[Alex, you have a guest.] Jayden's voice was clear in the helmet. The tone was not as light as when talking to Gavin earlier.
“Good, he's on time!”
