The Zetta Sonic

The Zetta Sonic
Awakes

Jayden sat in a high chair facing Alex's bed. The boy looked pitiful. Not because of the tools attached to the body or clothes ala hospital patients. Jayden imagined that he was in Alex's position. By ourselves. Don't understand a thing. Lying down without knowing whether to wake up again or not.

Jayden let go of a short sigh while ruffling his own hair. Now he began to doubt some of the things he had discovered regarding Dragon Blood. The experiment fluids were not part of his job. He's just as blind as Dr. Vanessa. Even so, when any information came to pass, it was impossible for him to turn a blind eye to her.

His ears caught a slow moan.

Curious, Jayden moved from his chair to the side of the bed. He could see Alex slowly opening his eyes. “Hei!” Jayden says hello. “You're alive.”

Alex looked at him without speaking.

“You're safe here.” I don't know why that line came out of Jayden without being ruled.

Alex gnashing. His hands moved to remove the breathing apparatus. That tool did not help him much. Jayden did not forbid. Alex took a deep breath. He remembered the mint-scented scent behind Sonic's helmet. He also remembered the smell of the strange room. He knew he had moved to headquarters.

Jayden asked. “Did anyone get sick? I can call the doctor Vanessa.”

It was funny to hear Jayden ask that. Alex felt his whole body go limp. No pain, just weakness. At first he wasn't even sure he could take off his own breathing apparatus. Now he realized he could at least talk. “I'm hungry, Jayden,” he said softly.

Jayden laughed when he heard it. “Alright, I'm not sure I'll get permission from doctor Vanessa. But let me try later. What do you want for breakfast? Raisin bread?”

Alex just threw a faint smile. “Hey, am I going to die? Will I faint often? Is that normal? Because it ... absolutely not cool.”

Jayden shrugged his shoulders. “I don't know about it. We're all still groping about your powers, Alex. Zetta Sonic is like a kid that's hard to control.”

It sounded right in Alex's ear. “I don't understand myself,” he said again. “All the action on the helipad felt like a dream. Now, I feel weak like grandfathers.” Alex tried to make his voice sound more excited, but he wasn't even able to make his voice louder.

Alex felt his face heat up. He turned his face away from Jayden just as tears began to seep out. He pulled his hand to cover his eyes. For Alex, in addition to often fainting, crying is also not cool at all. Especially in front of strangers including Jayden.

“Hey, it's okay. Slow down.” Jayden put his hand on Alex's shoulder. “Everything here will help you. We will learn to understand Dragon Blood together. You are not alone, Alex.”

Alex could not answer. Even if he is able, he does not want to answer because he is aware that his voice will vibrate. Alex lets himself sob. Jayden backed out, giving Alex a chance. He sat back in his position. His hand took a flipad, checking the Zetta Sonic indicator. The indicator shows full. Alex's recovery should be just a matter of time.

After a while, Alex stopped sobbing. He could see Jayden from the edge of his eye. “Since I was eleven years old,” said, answering the question Jayden had asked when they first met. As Jayden looked at him, Alex added. “I learned a lot when I was eleven.”

“What happened?” Jayden went back to his side.

“I learned that not everything can go my way. Both my parents will be busy. I will still be left at home. They can hold my body, but they won't be able to imprison my mind.” Alex closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. His mind drifted into the past. His memory displays pieces of the picture like a film. “I learned a lot,” he said again.

“Hacking. Martial. Shooting.”

“Ya and some other things.”

“As? Driving through the simulator?”

Jayden smile. “And many more?” guess it.

Alex smiles. “Still much more.”

“Why? You don't use hacking skills to blackmail people. Your main goal is definitely not money.”

“I thought, I just want to try a lot of things. Curious. There are many things I can do in cyberspace. Freedom is unlimited. It was fun and horrible at the same time. I'm lucky. Very lucky.”

“You are lucky to have a big house and abundant treasures. It gives you access to a variety of things.”

“No. Many people's lives are ruined by treasure. They are abusing the opportunity. It's not luck, I think it's more like a curse. They don't know which one can build, which one can damage.”

“You're talking about philosophy, now?”

Alex grunts amusedly. “Actually I also noticed. I'm lucky to have people who can lead me. From childhood, Preston taught me many things. Far more than could be expected of a butler. I'm lucky to have Preston and Rover. Also Mrs Bellsey.” Alex blinked, driving away the tears that were about to seep again. “I wonder if they're looking for me right now.”

“Of course. They're so worried about you.”

Alex frowning. “As I recall, you said everything was arranged so that no one would look for me. This operation should be kept secret, right?”

“Yes, of course. Nadira has arranged all of this. But, I know how your butler repeatedly saw the phone, hoping to get word from you.”

“What are you ... hacking my home security system?”

“I think there are many ways to know.” Jayden smile. “The bottom line is, there are people looking forward to your return, Alex. Survive life. Everything that happens here is out of plan. But, I don't believe in the thing called coincidence. You're here for a reason. Me and everyone here, we're gonna get through this together. The world needs Zetta Sonic more than you know.”

Alex fell silent again, the sentence was more like a burden than an honor to him.

Jayden hastily added, “By the way, all our talk will not get to Nadira's ears. Sometimes the sound recording and pictures here are a little blurry.” Jayden blinked one eye.

“There are tappers here?”

“Supply camera with microphone only. What do you expect from a paranoid grandmother like that?”

Alex smiled amusedly. Inwardly, he himself agreed with the existence of a surveillance camera in the room. If there is in the position of Nadira, Alex will do the same. It's just that he'll control everything instead of handing it over to the men.

There was a pause before Alex spoke again. “Jayden, you know a lot from me through data. You must know who Marcus Anthony Hill or Mark Hill.” is

Jayden nodded slowly. “You remember, I once said this. If you tell me about yourself, I will give you valuable information that Nadira has hidden from you. That information about your father, Mark Hill.”
