The Zetta Sonic

The Zetta Sonic
Throwns

Using the elevator booth, Alex reached the twenty floor. He saw part of his ceiling become ruins. Alex went up again and again, until he found a row of glowing red eyeballs in a puff of smoke. The light is not only brighter but also bigger.

Alex believes the size of this spider is the same as the spider he first fought. Especially when the body moves out of the mess. Alex could see how one of his legs had been cut off by the explosion. Yellow liquid dripped from there without the slightest disturbance. The creature's walking speed made Alex shudder in horror. Very fast compared to the other spiders he had already destroyed.

Alex opened fire. Unfortunately, everyone just got away with it. This time the creature was different. Not only because of its size and speed, its color is slightly reddish. Mouth's open. Black smoke billowed from him. When Alex thought there would be moans or nets coming out, he found a huge fireball thrown.

Without the hook, Alex jumps as far as possible. It felt impossible if the opponent could hit it. Reality says something else. That mouth threw the streak fireballs. Instead of a tarantula, the creature looked more like a flamethrower dragon now. And, just like the female spider he was fighting on the first floor, this spider could think. He shot a fireball in the direction Alex was going.

Alex failed to stop. The fireball exploded in front of his face. His body was thrown away until it hit the wall. Black smoke billowed thickly. The spider jumps into the middle of it, hoping to get prey. Alex has avoided it first. The Zetta Sonic combat uniform saves her. Even so, he still felt pain from a strong blow and coughed due to the smoke.

“Since when do spiders spout fire?” alex protested while still coughing.

[Since he ate that bomb.]

“Eat what!?”

[Bombs. I detected an explosive in his stomach. Looks like our spider this time is a fan of spicy food. The liquid in his stomach was able to digest the explosive to be used as a weapon. According to my calculations, he could still throw at least a dozen more fireballs until all the explosives were used up.]

“You're kidding? A dozen?”

[Awas, Alex!] Jayden found a quick movement in front of him. The spider came back. He realizes the danger in front of Zetta Sonic. Faster than he realized that he had mentioned Alex's name. [Gudge.]

Alex has avoided. In such a smoke-filled mess, the sensors in the helmet are working fine. He tells the opponent's movements. Alex can secure himself without the need to see the arrival of the spider. Now it's time to strike back. In the smoke, Alex points his laser gun.

[Hey! Waitaminute! Don't-]

Jayden's warning is no longer heard. The shot has gone. Another explosion occurred. Much bigger, much firmer. Fire blinded. Its strength made the walls and floor crack. The smoke billowed into the still drizzling sky. The night wind can't fly him away.

The ground carries the vibration to the surrounding area. The building is not just shaking. The building began to break. One by one the floor began to fall down and then down again. They stack up against each other. A rare sight plus a sound that shook the night sky. Half the building is destroyed.

[Sonic! Sonic, answer me!] Jayden felt his breath hold. [Damn!]

Alex glares in the dark. His head was dizzy, his ears were buzzing, his back was painful. Alex nodded again. Slowly, the world returned. Raindrops fell just above the helmet, making for a calming sight.

He thought he was in ruins. The trick worked. Alex realizes his mistake when the shot emits an unnatural flame. Most spiders are destroyed. But, when he shot the last spider, he saw the appearance of fire. The explosives inside the spider made it look like a giant bomb.

Having no choice, he fired the hook as far as possible. He was attracted to the bullet before the explosion. From the attraction, Alex jumps out. Out of the building, into the drizzling sky. He remembers protecting his head before his body fell to the ground. He didn't get to roll because the thump was too strong. His body was thrown away from the building, into an empty area that was now filled with mud.

Alex groans first before answering his colleague, “Jayden?”

“Still inside this area. Ought.” Alex groaned again as he pushed himself up. He realized that if it wasn't for that particular outfit, he would have been killed by now. Right now, it seemed like his body was just bruising. Alex hopes Vanessa's doctor won't find a broken bone in her body.

[I know that! Next time listen to me before you shoot!]

“Actually I'd like to say that your lead is late. But, I got the point. I'll try to give you extra time.”

[Basic!] Alex heard Jayden grumbling. He also heard Jayden's typing followed by a clanging sound when they found his location accurately. [We'll be right to your place with the medical team. Wait there.]

“Do not worry. There's already Tiger here.”

Alex sees Jayden's large body approaching in a white raincoat. The color is not as white as the original. Mud stains are seen around the boots. His splatters littered the suit. ICPA seems to love the color white, ignoring how their uniforms can easily get dirty and dull. At least her uniform is black.

Tiger ran to her carrying a white box like a tool box. Alex is pretty sure it's a help box. Although there is no red cross emblem, Alex briefly saw the writing of ‘MEDIC’ which only appears when hit by light.

“It's okay if you wake up like that?” Tiger threw a question when he got close enough.

“I don't think I'm going to faint.”

“Not that I mean.”

“I know.” Alex moved his body to the right and then to the left. So far, his entire body was moving as he wished. He was convinced that his body was okay. “In the file Jayden sent me, he said this uniform was able to reduce incoming attacks. Power fall seems to count.”

Tiger laughed when he heard it. “You are fine!”

“I told you.” Alex grimaced even though Tiger couldn't see him.

Tiger reached out his hand. “Come, time to return.”

“When we get back later, can I get some warm chocolate too. It will greatly help relieve the pain in my back.” Alex received the hand. He managed to stand on both feet even though his hands were still stroking his back.

“Please your uniform in the medical container. I'll bring you a warm chocolate.”

“Really? Sweet once.”

“Don't big head, boy! Only this time. After all, this is your last practice in the first stage. We don't know when you'll get killed.” Tiger laughed with his words. Alex grunting. “Tomorrow we will go to a more exciting place,” Tiger continued.

“Not an abandoned building or a fish canning factory, ‘kan?”

“No. We're going to the robot factory. But, before, to the medical container first.”
