While Alex tells James to name his location, Jayden manages to secure his car. He found a row of small boxes with tiny buttons on the edges. They lined up neatly in the back tub of a black pick up. The capture of James made it easier for Caitlin and Tiger to work. In a short time, they had managed to find all the original bombs.
Tiger and Caitlin find Jayden in the parking lot. All three realize that Alex is not with them. Jayden checked the laptop. Alex had tied James to Jayden's orders before securing him a safe to go to secure another bomb. Alex is on the fifth floor.
Alex down the narrow ventilation passageways. He entered as directed by James and was assisted by a map of the building from Jayden. The place was not only dark and cold, there was a fishy aroma mixed with the fragrance of the room that had made it uncomfortable. How else, that place is a cannery of fish.
At least, she was grateful to have a uniform that closed her perfectly. Alex forced himself to ignore all the fluid puddles. He also ignored the clumps that were stuck. His eyes focused forward, his body moving steadily towards the goal.
Just when he was at the point on his record, he was aghast. Since seeing the existence of the point and an explanation from James, Alex realized that his father was targeted. The location of the last bomb was on the fifth floor, more precisely under the table of the fifth floor meeting room, where the shareholders were meeting. Twenty-four people in total. Including father.
The room had a very large size. The large oval table is in the middle. The floor is covered with brown velvet carpet with a warm impression. One of the walls is a glass wall with a view of the sea. There are no curtains there. Not necessary. The place always needs warmth from the sun.
Alex crawled up again, moving right on the board. There, the heat feels warmer. From this position, Alex could observe more clearly. Other than the meeting oval table, the small table in the corner of the room, and ornamental plants, there were no other items.
Alex could see his father circling his eyes around, including upwards, toward the vents above them. Spontaneously, Alex retreated as he could to the wall when he was sure his father would not be able to see in the dark.
It's been a long time since Alex has seen his father. He looks handsome as always. The choice of suit and tie is always suitable. He was wearing a light blue shirt and a stainless steel watch that Alex remembered. More white hair than the last time they met. Even so, the look in his eyes and the look on his face were the same. Something that made Alex so familiar and foreign at the same time.
[Alex, where ka ..] From the laptop, Jayden couldn't really get his location accurately. [Your signal se ... tinya is somewhat ... tus-disconnect here.]
“I'm with dad,” whispered Alex.
[Good.] Jayden changed his communication channel directly to the helmet Alex was wearing. His face was clearly there, as was his voice. [Try repeating. Where are you? With dad?]
“I was in the air ducts above the room where dad was. His last bomb here, Jayden. I can see it.” Alex has used a special feature of the helmet to check the entire room. He found the bomb under the table, just as James had confessed. “We have to get them out first if we want to take the bomb.”
[Wait. I can send a drone over there.]
“You don't have a name for him?”
[You can name it later after we're done from here.]
The meeting leader moved back and forth from their large table to the back wall. Ceiling mounted projectors show curves and tables. Mark Hill glanced at his watch. Then, he again circulated his gaze thoroughly including to the ceiling.
This time Alex flinched, more convinced that his father would not be aware of his existence. After all, if his father did see someone there, it would be nothing more than a figure dressed all in black. He won't see Alex.
[Drone is already on the path to the meeting room.]
“Don't tell me he's behind me.”
[Don't worry, Sonic. He was passing through another hallway.]
Alex heard how Caitlin gasped. “Know someone there?” guess it.
[Baron is there.] The answer came from Jayden. “Your boyfriend is also one of the shareholders here?]
[I don't know about that. If he's there, it should be.]
The drone moved to the other side of the wall, starting to approach the meeting leader. With the distance narrower, the participants were unaware there was a spider-like robot moving under their table. Jayden turned the drone's camera so they could see more clearly. The bomb was placed right in the middle of the table. It was the same size as the other bombs. Same with the numbers on the timer. Stop at zero.
“Do something!” Alex pinta.
Jayden changed the mode of his small drone in order to float. Its two front and rear legs fold upward, giving rise to a small propeller. It made a faint and subtle sound. In the middle of the meeting, no one would notice. The other leg is ready to cut the cable.
At the time, Alex and Jayden knew something was wrong. The bomb was flashing red. Along with the start of the blink, the number on the timer runs. The countdown starts from two minutes.
Alex's turn gasped. “Jayden! Tell me you didn't see what I saw!”
Caitlin screams. [The bomb is active! What are you doing, Jayden?]
[Two minutes!? Get out of there, Sonic! Now!] pinta Tiger's. [We can set off a fire alarm to get them out of the room.] Tiger's idea is pretty good but it doesn't guarantee success within two minutes that keeps diminishing.
“No! I can't leave these guys!”
Caitlin is more focused on Jayden. [Do something, J! Cut cable!]
Cutting the active bomb cable cannot be done haphazardly. Especially using remote controlled drones. Wrong cuts or a little shaking will actually make everyone die instantly.
Alex fiddles with the features on his helmet. He can see a variety of data ranging from factory blueprints, various equipment and furniture complete with types and prices, fire extinguishing systems, to electrical and water lines in the room.
“I can do something.” There is no doubt in Alex.
Tiger's opposite. [Negative. Get out of there!]
[Alex!] Jayden finally spoke. [Only you can do something now. Whatever it is, I'm with you!]
[Jayden!]
Alex clutches the vent cover underneath. “I Zetta Sonic. I'll do my job Zetta Sonic way!”
