The Zetta Sonic

The Zetta Sonic
Still Unsolved's

He knows what will happen after the video is over. Alex yelling, “Run! This place is bombed!”

Tiger was so quick. He pulled Emil's arm, forgetting the protests. Jason flew in. Alex deliberately ran the last. He wanted to make sure his friends in front survived first.

As expected, explosions occurred. It started from the computer, then from the bed, from the table, and kept on moving after them in the hallway. Alex is grateful to find it sooner despite being a little annoyed at having played a video he shouldn't have. Usually Killer Bee will understand not to press just any button, the risk is a virus. The thing is, in the Zetta Sonic world, wrongly pressing a button means an explosion.

They managed to get back into the submarine. As the flames burned, devouring whatever was there, the ship was even on their way back through the dark passage. The submarine moves in autopilot as the three agents rest both physically and mentally.

“It was... thought... fast, boy!” Tiger was still panting.

Emil slumped in his chair, unable to speak anymore. The sweat came down his forehead, his legs were trembling, his body was suffocating from fear. As Vanessa's doctor goes to get them all water, Alex feels down.

“I'm sorry,” Alex said so softly as if he didn't want to be heard.

“Hah? For what?” Tiger. “Besides picking up the goods without telling us.. You saved us.” Tiger jumped over all the details of the story.

“I should have gone in there alone. I... I'm supposed to be the hero.”

“Wait! What does that mean?” Tiger's voice tone was rising.

Emil was too caught up to fight. Even so, he still took the time to talk. “That's the name of cooperation. There is no harm in receiving help from people. We're a team. Stop taking us one step back.”

Alex has received similar reprimands. Is correct. He is not alone now. No one wants to continue that conversation. So, Alex began to examine the contents of the opaque plastic. It contained a folded piece of paper and a tiny, metal-coated pinky-sized object.

“That flash drive made by ICPA.”

Alex tiptoed. Doctor Vanessa's words surprised her. He didn't know the doctor was there. His hand carried a bottle of cold water and a few cans. He put one bottle and one can in front of Alex. “Te— Thank you, doc.”

“What is it?” ask Dr. Vanessa.

“I don't know. Maybe the letter and..” Alex stop, do not want to mention the other thing.

“Where did you find it?” Doctor Vanessa walks around, handing out drinks to Emil and Tiger.

“In the room where Jayden was held. Behind the hidden camera.”

Emil looked straight at me. “It's not from Jayden.”

Alex agrees. “From Camilla, definitely.”

The folded letter was opened. Alex thought he'd find an outpouring of heart or an explanation for what happened. However, what was there was no more than two rows of random series, a combination of numbers and letters.

Alex uses the control panel in front of him. He found a tiny slot to insert the object. A semi-transparent square screen appeared, floating in the air, right in front of his face. Jemari Alex is tweaking the screen, hoping to get what it contains. It didn't take long, Alex let out a long sigh.

“Hey, boy! How do you know how to access it? ICPA flash drives are different from flash drives in general. His ability and design, of course. Very plain. Laymen will not know what that thing is,” Tiger said. He had just opened his second can of drink then straightened it up quickly. The water droplets went down her lips and neck, soaking her clothes again. “I don't think Jayden ever taught you anything like that. Or, am I wrong?”

“Not him. I used it once. Back then,” I was Alex.

“Where?” Tiger hunt.

Alex rolled his eyeballs, “At home. At the time, I wondered what my father was doing. So, I peeked at him in the study. I saw him open this flash drive on the laptop. So... Yes, I opened it when dad came out.”

“What? Try repeating again! You opened the contents? What did you find?”

Tiger and Alex's conversation leaves Emil and Vanessa's doctor paying close attention to them. This was not a confession Alex would make easily.

“Figures,” replied Alex. “Insi report. Company profit, stock sale value, exchange rate, such. I thought it was a company secret flash drive.” Alex sighs. While pulling himself in order to lean onto the chair, he turned off his combat uniform. Her face felt cooler without a helmet covering. “I feel stupid. I mean, back then I was completely consumed by my father's lies.”

Tiger grunts amusedly. “I told you your father was a good agent.”

“I don't think it's too good.” Doctor Vanessa moves to Alex's side. “If you get that habit of lying from your father, now throw it away! We're family. There are no lies here! Understand, Alex?”

For some reason, Alex found himself smiling. Doctor Vanessa acted firm and gentle at the same time. It really was exactly like the figure of a mother who was reprimanding her son. Alex did not answer, only nodded slowly.

“Good,” says doctor Vanessa, “now, drink your water! While this flash drive will be a job for Emil.”

“So, now how?” Tiger asked instead. “Go back?”

Alex smiles. “That sounds fun.”

“Of course!” Tiger turned to face his panel. “Installing the final destination. Zetta Sonic Special Force Headquarters. Come, home.”

Doctor Vanessa took over. The woman shuts down the system in front of Alex. He took out a flash drive, folded the mail, put it back in the opaque plastic, then brought the tiny package to Emil.

Alex leaned back in his chair. He let himself be helped this time. Assisted by reinforcements from the city's ICPA, aided by Vanessa's doctor, aided by Emil and Tiger.

There are still many unsolved mysteries. Who's Roban? Why would he be able to create the exact same headquarters as the ICPA? What purpose? And, the hardest question to answer. Where is Jayden?

His eyes are heavy now. The sleepiness came so quickly. He's not sure what's going to happen. He also did not know where he would wake up later, either at home, either at the headquarters. He wouldn't find Jayden by his side when he woke up. Later, he'll have to figure out his own way to recover Zetta Sonic. Not the ideal scenario he wanted. Even so, Alex is grateful to still have a reliable team even though Jayden is not with him anymore at this time.

One thing Alex can be sure of in these uncertain conditions. He'll wake up in a safe place. Time to stop being so spoiled. Time to prepare as an ICPA agent. Time to take everything more seriously. Zetta Sonic will be ready when Jayden is found.

Yes, later. Now, it's time for bed.
