Alex obviously can't rest in that condition. Instead of returning to bed, he rushed to his own headquarters. This time with a little improvisation. He doesn't have a combat uniform. There are no rockets, not even planes. He has to drive himself. He'll get in trouble if he gets caught. Alex threw away his anxiety. He knows his priorities.
Upon arrival at the base, Alex thought he would see as many intruders as when he first arrived there. At that time, he met Damon and his army. This time, Alex thought he would find the same thing. Apparently not. Everything seems normal. No damage, no break-ins.
He only found one oddity in the long hallway near the command room. It's about Jason.
“Did I see wrong or Jason was making calligraphy?” ask Alex.
“I think this is called a mural,” replied Tiger. “Nadira won't like this. We can't cover it with cat.”
“Of course not.”
Alex stands next to Emil and Tiger. The three looked at Jason the drone was shooting at the wall with his laser gun. With the correct accuracy and speed, the results of the shot read like a computer type. Highly precision.
“What is this writing?” Alex turned to Emil. He doesn't understand, neither does Tiger. However, Emil was glued almost without blinking. Jason's writing is decorated by lines and curves, making him like a blueprint.
“Compression. He's writing down Jayden.”'s idea Emil spoke softly in admiration.
“Ide?” Alex still doesn't understand. “You mean, new weapon.”
“No. I thought.. Jayden wanted to make you a pet.”
“Sorry. Make what?” Alex believes he heard wrong.
Emil repeated his words without turning away from the wall which now turned like a blackboard. “Maintenance. Maybe a bird. I see the aerodynamics section here. Then. This shape is like a beak.”
“Why does Jayden want to make me a pet?” ask Alex.
“Only Jayden knows.” Tiger shrugged his shoulders. “I'm more curious why he should draw it here? If this is some kind of system that was active when it disappeared, Jayden should just save it to the computer. Why should I keep it in Jason?”
“Because nobody would have thought Jason was storing data like this. Computers are always the first to be suspected. But, drones? Besides, Jason's got a laser gun, remember? He's the perfect data bank as long as it doesn't crumble in battle.”
“So, what is so special about this pet robot? Can he find Jayden's location directly?”
“I'm a little suspicious about that. Maybe there's something else. Rather than that, how can we make it? It... complicated.” Alex wouldn't admit that he didn't understand what was written on the big wall. Jason himself is not finished. I don't know how long the wall will be filled with the drone's notes.
Emil's eyes follow Jason's movements. “We think about that later. First step. Better to prepare the components.”
Tiger laughed too. “Hah! Damn right! This drone is unlikely to be able to access the component warehouse, yes?”
Tiger did not have time to digest what Emil meant, but he managed to do it quickly. Alex has fallen. Before the boy fell to the ground, Tiger managed to catch him.
Alex gnashing. He himself wasn't really what happened. For a moment, his eyes darkened. When his gaze returned, he saw things a little green, like he was wearing glasses with green lenses. This was a common thing when he was using the power of Dragon Blood. The thing is, right now he is clearly not wearing his strength.
Alex blinked again and again until the scene returned to normal. Breath hunting. A cold sweat drenched his forehead. His hands are hot. Thankfully, it all passed soon. Slowly, his eyes returned to normal. Alex closed his eyes for a moment and opened them slowly. This time he was pretty sure that now the entire scene had returned to its original color. His body also felt more normal.
Emil stood in front of Alex. Even with my eyes, there was anxiety on Emil's face. While Alex could not understand whether Tiger was worried or angry with him. The big man was glaring at him who was sitting leaning against the wall.
“What happened?” Alex asked. His voice was normal, not shaking.
“We should have asked,” reply Tiger. The big man sighed softly and then patted his shoulder. “You need a break. Seriously. Zetta Sonic should always be ready. Damon or the others can come at any time. Let me take you home.”
Alex clasped Tiger's hand. “I can go home alone,” he said standing up. Alex kept silent for a moment, making sure he was okay. “Emil, let me know if there is any news about those coordinates or about this blueprint,” he continued while looking at the wall behind him. Not far from his position, Jason still continues to draw.
Mind raging. He knew Emil was right. Fergus and the ICPA can help find Jayden. He also knew Tiger was right. He was tired and needed rest. But, somehow the words of Zetta Sonic must always be ready and even make him more tired. He doesn't want to be a hero who can't protect his own friends.
Tiger glanced at Zet-Arm in Alex's hand. The Zetta Sonic energy indicator is still full. “Alex, don't be rash.”
“I didn't do anything,” Alex said.
“Not yet,” connect Tiger quickly while making a knotty smile. “The phone coordinates are in the mountainous area. The second coordinate is in the city next door. Don't drive there. You don't have any protective uniforms. Leave it to Fergus and his team.”
“No need to repeat. I'm not a kid—” Alex stops.
He stared at how Tiger made a knotty smile. Tiger made him realize something else. Sure oes. He doesn't need to be there physically. However, he could be present there virtually. Alex can hack a surveillance camera near the coordinates and make sure Fergus' agent is doing his job properly.
“I don't really understand your world. You share the same world that I do not understand,” Tiger said as he turned to Emil for a moment. Then he went back to Alex again. “Actually, I want Emil to do it, but it looks like we will be busy here.”
“You still believe there are other intruders inside ICPA.”
“Of course. I believe Caitlin wasn't involved.”
This time Alex replied with a wry smile. “You bet?”
Alex rushes to leave the Special Force headquarters. This time, he will try to be in Jayden's position. Position of operator or supervisor or audience. I don't know what's appropriate. Of course with a different touch because he won't be as calm as Jayden. After all, who said that he didn't have any protective uniforms?
