107. The Battle of Huroud II

The opening attack from Reus and Ikshan left everyone wide open to witness how powerful the two humans were. Not only Horb, Ash who saw from a distance could not help his surprise when dozens to dozens of troops were finished off in an instant by two people only.

Using his Moon Scythe Art Series, Ikshan was able to split two nearly twenty enemies at once in a single swing of his kusarigama repelling all the enemies who were about to advance against him.

Opposite of Ikshan splitting his enemy, Reus exerts a wide variety of his magic stash in Blackstar and detonates over 30 creatures before him.

Seeing this, Ash's troop steps stopped. Who would have thought that the two dwarf humans who recklessly confronted the thousands of opponents in front without a tremble possessed extraordinary abilities?

   'I thought Reus had put all his strength in front of me, but it didn't seem like I deserved it yet.'

While watching the action of the two, Horb pensively dwelled on his mind. He thought, if only Reus was serious when faced with it before he might have been lying on the ground helpless in just a matter of seconds.

So did Horb's conjecture when he found out that one swing Kusarigama Ikshan was able to finish off so many opponents. If he confronts him now without knowing Ikshan's abilities first, perhaps his fate would not be much different from fighting Reus in a serious moment.

A few moments later Horb came to his senses from his daydream, then lifted his wooden mace up while crying out loudly.

   "Follow those two humans!!"

   ""Oouu!!""

Horb's cry was greeted by the Snow Trolls and Yetis who were ready to fight behind him. With himself leading the troops on the front lines, his entire army stepped forward intending to continue the momentum that Reus and Ikshan had created.

Ash's troops were a little surprised to see the other party instead of defending realized they were outnumbered, but instead charged forward. Ash's orders echoed in their memories, making them all come forward unafraid of death.

Reus and Ikshan who were at the forefront slightly smiled realizing Horb had not wasted the momentum of the war as good as this. If they had delayed any longer, it could have been that the morale of the Horbites had dropped dramatically.

   "We also have to be serious, Reus!"

   "Of course!"

Putting it lightly, the two smiled broadly at the hundreds of enemies around who were ready to attack them at any moment. That smile signified that something bad was going to happen to the other party.

   "Black Forms!"

   "Thunder Forms!"

Wuush!!

The air around the two went berserk as soon as they exerted their respective flagship strengthening skills.

Thunder Form was one of Ikshan's skills that came from his Electric Elemental Rune. This skill is similar to Black Form Reus, only able to increase the speed of its users up to 200% during the active skill and has the opportunity to provide a stun effect on enemies touched by 30%.

This skill Ikshan managed to get when his Electro Arts skill—skill special Electric Elemental Rune user— reached level 2-1.

   "Efforting to destroy the rejecting party, it does not appreciate the decision of the party at all. You will be punished by me!"

While saying out loud, Ikshan poured most of the electricity into his right hand and then hit the ground with all his might with the hand. Instantly, a blue electric current spread across the ground and attacked all the enemies in front of him for 10 meters.

All those affected by the electricity stopped moving for a few seconds, then fell down motionless. They did not die, but suffered complete paralysis over a considerable period of time thanks to one of Ikshan's deadly skills.

   "Because of Fatal Shockwave then end your history."

Not stopping there, Ikshan began to swing his kusariga like dancing in the middle of the battlefield. The small scythe at the end of his chain took one by one the lives of his opponent quickly, while the small iron ball at the other end of the chain destroyed the enemy's weapons or limbs without missing.

In a matter of a minute, Ikshan had already taken more than 50 lives with just his kusariga game.

   "Wild Style: Thorn Dance!"

With the help of Blackstar and the five swords crossing the Hollow Swords, Reus took every life that came into contact with his blade. It didn't take long until 50 lives were lost thanks to the swing of his sword.

In the middle of his battle Horb had witnessed the abilities of both players from afar. Although in the middle of the fight, he could not stop being amazed at the two who were able to finish off so many opponents in a matter of seconds.

Although Horb has a capability that is not much different, still to know there are humans who are so strong that he can not hold his spirit any longer.

   "Eat this mighty mace of mine, you bastard creatures! Full Swing!"

In one big swing Horb managed to throw several opponents until his body was torn in the air showing his abilities as well.

Unlike Reus who had high speed in attack, and Ikshan who had a wide attack range with his kusarigama, Horb had great physical strength that was no less deadly than the two.

Attack after attack deployed by both sides is quite time consuming and casualty. Different from what Ash imagined, it seems that Horb's side and his comrades managed to push his troops.

Although Ash's army was superior in terms of numbers, if it did not have quality, the results could still be seen over time. No matter how much trash gathers, they can't be gold or diamonds.

   "They're like they're endless!"

While continuing to swing Blackstar slashing every opponent encountered, Reus complained over the number of enemies that were too terrible to the point that his efforts were not so fruitful. Not only Reus, even Ikshan increasingly cussed feeling this fight went longer than he expected.

Neither Reus, Ikshan, Horb, nor the inhabitants of Huroud who participated in the battle had begun to feel tired because so many enemies continued to arrive as if not reduced. Other than fatigue, most of them had already exhausted their Energy to exert skills.

Reus had drunk Energy Potion many times and took the energy reserves that had been prepared in advance at the Energy Stack, but his fatigue was not reduced by it at all.

The Vigor Potion he had was starting to thin out and was likely unable to survive until the end of the battle.

   "Revelation! Magic attack from above!"

One of the Snow Trolls screamed as soon as it saw some gigantic fire magic streaking towards them in the sky. The magic turned out to be from a group of Mage-class monsters called Ash in the back row.

   "Focus on your fight! I'll handle it!"

Reus immediately flew upwards approaching the ceiling using one of the Hollow Swords swords, then slashed those fire magic with Blackstar intent on devouring it. It took more than 10 seconds until everything was perfectly absorbed.

   "Return this!"

Not wanting to buy more time, Reus immediately released the magic back to the enemy Mage forces who were in the back line with Ash. The massive explosion of the magic made Ash's side lose a lot of troops.

Despite saving Horb's army and turning things around, Reus was not happy. Wh why? It was because Dur Blackstar's status had declined drastically due to absorbing several great magic at once.

   "Defend until this battle is over, Blackstar."

Knowing that Dur's status of his beloved sword had declined drastically, Reus's face turned even colder carrying a terrifying impression of fury.

He also looked at Ash who was laughing cunningly in the back row of his own troops with ice-cold eyes.

"This guy's a real jerk."
