196. The Ruins of the Seven Dragon Kings

Once his stamina recovered in part, Reus immediately entered the Ruins of Seven Dragon King without a doubt. He was directly faced with the various mob monsters that inhabited this Dungeon.

Reus thought everything would be so difficult considering the level of this Dungeon above 200, but it was clear that currently over a hundred monsters leveled above 180s were killed by Reus' sword slash.

"Am I the only one with too much hope for this Dungeon?"

Reus let out a long sigh feeling no meaningful resistance from every enemy that came to him, though he had enough hope that the Ruins of Seven Dragon King kept a high-leveled enemy so that he could level up as quickly as possible.

As one of the few abnormal players, Reus had previously been able to deal with even surpassing NPCs level 250 and above at around level 150. Thanks to killing the Undead Dragon just now, Reus' level increased rapidly and gained considerable status.

Different from other games, the leveling system in Orbis Online is indeed a little unique.

Orbis Online still adheres to a leveling system based on the size of the level and how far the player level differs from the opponent, but the Orbis Online system itself is not too fixated on the level but the status of the player.

Each time a level increase at least the player will get a minimum status increase from the class he took, but the status itself is not permanent. By searching and obtaining certain skills or titles, players can increase their status regardless of level.

Players who are able to raise their status higher than the average status of players of the same level are called abnormal players. This case is not so rare to find in the world of Orbis Online but not too often also happens.

Most abnormal players are only able to compensate players with 10 levels above them in a one-on-one fight, at most it may not be more than 50 levels and even that is arguably extraordinary.

And Reus? A player who could even finish off dozens of NPCs with an average of 50 levels above him by himself some time ago? Even if it didn't get so much experience from the previous Undead Lesser Dragon until it had almost risen 30 levels at once, Reus could still overcome all opponents like this.

   "Although it was difficult for a player of the 200s, nothing challenged me."

Reus once again sighed looking at the row of monster corpses he had just slaughtered while tapping Blackstar's blunt side on his shoulders. He didn't even need to use Black Form or any other Chant skill when crushing all of this.

As Reus let out a sigh of disappointment, a huge sound of footsteps was heard approaching him. He glanced towards the step and he found a two meter tall horned humanoid creature coming at him.

   "You're done, too, Bull?"

   "Yes, sir. I've completed the task you gave me."

The figure of the tall horned creature kneeling next to the foot in front of Reus saluted him.

True, he was the Bull of the Minotaur, a loyal follower of Reus summoned from the Minotaur's Summon Horn that was accidentally obtained from the Goblin Extermination Quest a few months ago.

   "Good then. You can come back."

   "Good."

Bull's body emitted a dim light for a moment before turning into a small bull-shaped whistle that was then quickly grabbed by Reus.

   "This kid is really terrible."

Reus smiled wryly as he looked at the Bull's Summon Horn that he was holding right now, not trusting his Minotaur followers to be able to level up so quickly.

Maybe because the effect of Expert Player skill that gives bonus experience to its users when fighting higher level enemies affects subordinates, Bull level can increase so drastically.

   "Well, his name is also subordinate to the results of the call. I don't think it's worth thinking about."

Reus scratched his head trying not to think too much about the inhumane speed of Bull's level rise, not realizing how quickly he himself raised the status to a stage that was most likely able to compensate Special-Class class players with early 300s levels.

He then turned his gaze to observe some relief carvings on the surrounding walls trying to find some information about the Arshwind seal there.

   "Without knowing the history of this country a few centuries ago it seems useless to observe all these reliefs."

Reus sighed for a moment after looking at all the relief carvings. He knew there was some information about the history of the dragon country in these reliefs, but he was neither an expert archaeologist nor a historian so could not directly understand the history behind this sculpture.

Feeling unable to grasp everything quickly, Reus picked up an Item shaped like a small camera that he had bought some time ago from the Orbis Forum.

   "There's no harm in keeping watch like this."

Reus smiled wryly looking at the Item. It was a Photo Taker, a useful Item that took a picture inside Orbis Online and saved it, an Item similar to the Video Recorder that Reus used when infiltrating into the Viredeta village.

The price is not as expensive as Video Recorder, but not too cheap either. With 50 photos of storage space, a Low-Equip Photo Taker is priced at 3,000 Byl per unit.

Reus photographed some reliefs that he thought had information about the Arshwind seal.

After being satisfied to investigate the relief-filled passageway, Reus continued his dive deeper towards the end of the Ruins of Seven Dragon King. Of course, on his journey Reus was not alone.

He encountered some monster mob Dungeon dwellers. Most of them were Undead because these Dungeons were ruins, although the same level Reus had no significant difficulties thanks to the Undead Slayer title which increased his destructive power when fighting Undead-type monsters.

This title is also one of the biggest reasons why Reus was able to defeat the Undead Lesser Dragon who became the guardian of the Dungeon out there some time ago.

In addition to the Undead there are also giant reptile-type monsters blocking Reus' path, such as the Rock Lizard and Cave Serpent, but they are unable to stop Reus's swinging steps or sword.

   "Swings! Dragon Smite!"

While turning his body, Reus managed to finish off several Rock Lizards and Cave Serpents at once in a single slash.

   "Many as well."

Reus muttered softly as he played his sword in midair for a moment clearing his opponent's bloodstains before sheathing it back on his back. He did not want the sword he used to run out of Durability due to the rust that the blood produced.

After knowing the Dungeon's average monster strength, Reus decided to return Blackstar into the Inventory.

During this time he was too dependent on Black Form that was on Blackstar so that the sword art was quite dull lately, therefore Reus kept Blackstar, Balmung, and so on, or any other high-quality weapon he had in the Inventory.

Other than Black Form on Blackstar, the Dragon Slayer Sword that had turned into Balmung was also too powerful and had quite a bad impact on his pure sword ability.

That was why Reus used his spoiled ordinary sword in the battle of Lavore Kingdom and then to improve his sword skills, at the same time avoiding a drastic decline in Dur on other good weapons that he might be able to sell at a high price.

   "Strength alone is not enough, I must become an expert before challenging Shadow Mountain."

After saying so, Reus drew out his sword again when he sensed the existence of several creatures approaching him in groups.

Sure enough, even though it was dark enough Reus could see a bunch of different monsters with a lot of numbers. It may reach 20 tails if calculated roughly.

Reus snorted his breath smiling wryly as the group of monsters felt themselves underrated being attacked from the front like this.

   "Don't you know fighting in groups is only harmful rather than profitable in a narrow room?"

Without waiting for the reaction of the monsters, Reus advanced first while swinging a sword and began slaughtering the herd of reptilian and Undead monsters in front of him.
