231. The Dragon Palace Meeting

"My name is Oscar Draciel, the representative of the Draciel clan who served as the 'Wing' among the Three Councils of Dragons."

"Ariel Dragonash, the head of the Dragonash clan, holds the position of 'Claw' in the seat of the Three Dragon Council."

The two Dragonewts who interrupted Reus and Julius' conversation introduced themselves just before the meeting began, followed by Salvinius and the other nobles who attended in quick succession from highest to lowest position holders.

After the introduction reached the final stage, Julius actually wanted to start the meeting immediately but one of the nobles who appeared to be Dragonewt raised his hand and voiced his objections.

"Your Majesty, there is nothing to discuss regarding the topic of this meeting. I'm sure most of the people in this room don't approve of these three humans joining our military forces, even if it's for the sake of confronting the Menschrein Kingdom."

Dragonewt's words were not wrong.

Most of the people present in the room actually just wanted to see the person Julius wanted to invite as the guest of honor to help the war later on, but no one thought that the guest was their own enemy.

Julius was King of Bailendra Kingdom, one of the strongest and most powerful kingdoms in the Northern Plainfest. They thought that surely the person whom Julius and the Three Dragon Council invited was not an ordinary person, even though Reus was arguably not an ordinary person in this country.

Some of the people referred to by the noble nodded slowly agreeing to his opinion. Almost everyone in the room agreed to the noble's words.

Only Julius, the three representatives of the Three Dragon Council Clan, as well as Strainer did not think so. Although they had yet to see how powerful Reus was when he fought, they had not at all refused this favor.

"I have good reason to ask them for help."

Those who rejected the existence of Reus and comrades raised eyebrows interested in hearing the reason their king even asked for the help of three humans. Julius smiled slightly before raising his voice again.

"You must have heard the rumors about the recent turmoil in Lavore Kingdom, right?"

Julius explained that the rumors in question were small skirmishes in Lavore Kingdom to cause the loss of many casualties on the part of Lavore Kingdom which was like a civil war, whereas what really happened was that Lavore Kingdom's army faced a group of people.

Julius does not need to explain too long and the people understand what Julius wants to talk about. They then looked at Reus, Ikshan, and Ibane with doubtful gazes with shock.

"Your Majesty, I'm sorry if it's presumptuous, but where did Your Majesty get this information? As far as I know information like this can be said to be very secret. Lavore Kingdom though will not allow this to spread beyond their kingdom."

"Heh, you probably won't believe it, Count Bartomalt, but the King of Lavore Kingdom himself told me."

The Dragonewt called Count Bartomalt frowned at Julius' statement. He could not immediately believe it, even if it came out of the mouth of his own king.

Bartomalt then turned his gaze toward the three dragon council representatives.

"Has the Three Councils of Dragons confirmed the truth? I'm sorry if it's presumptuous, but from my view these three guys don't look strong at all. Even if to be honest, some of our palace guards alone might be able to defeat them."

Reus' forehead twitched for a moment to hear Bartomalt's words, even Ikshan and Ibane who had been silent and watching also reacted.

In level maybe the three are not too far from most of the guards of this dragon palace but if calculating skills, equipment, and fighting abilities that are not yet known the three are immediately assessed in such a way that certainly makes them unhappy.

"Count Bartomalt, have your instincts started to fade thanks to the peace of the last few years?"

"Master Salvinius, what do you mean by saying that?"

Getting a reply from Salvinius that sounded quite painful, Bartomalt raised an eyebrow feeling that there was something he did not know about these three guests.

Salvinius, Julius, as well as the other three representatives of the Three Dragon Council let out a sigh and wanted to pat them on the heels of feeling these nobles were too overwhelmed by their peaceful rule these days.

"Captain Strainer, can you explain your impression of Lord Reus and Ikshan when the two arrived at the border?"

Strainer stood up as soon as he heard Julius' request, he then explained that he despite his level of 200s and above felt unable to win if he fought with Reus while at the border. Now he could feel Reus had gotten stronger somehow so he didn't suggest looking for something to do with Reus.

"Added, if my eyes do not misjudge, this Lord Reus has a dragon aura that is quite strong and when compared to the dragon aura belonging to the nobles who are the original descendants of the ancestors, this dragon aura of Lord Reus is even stronger."

The nobles who heard that immediately raised a loud protest feeling humiliated by Strainer who dared to equate them with humans like Reus but different from the others, Bartomalt stroked his chin feeling skeptical.

He understood that even though the Strainer was only a Lizardmen who should not have Dragon Aura naturally, as one of the Lizardmen dragon blood races had the ability to detect the dragon aura.

Generally only a thick dragon-blooded race like the Dragonewt had Dragon Aura naturally but if the Strainer, a Lizardmen who also served as Border Captain would naturally not say so without a compelling reason. Especially in front of the king as well as the high nobility of Bailendra Kingdom.

After hearing Salvinius' warning and Strainer's explanation, Bartomalt felt that the aura enveloping Reus was not foreign and instead felt familiar like Dragon Aura but on the other hand, it felt familiar like Dragon Aura, he also felt that this aura was extremely sharp and cold unlike the Dragon Aura that Dragonewt possessed.

"Man, is it true what Strainer says? You have Dragon Aura like us, noble Dragonewt?"

"If the matter has it or not I do have the Dragon Aura skill as Captain Strainer said, but regarding more powerful or not than this Bailendra Kingdom noble I don't know."

Reus shrugged his shoulders saying so. He could not dodge considering he had already used Dragon Aura several times in this country so there was a possibility that the overseers of the Three Dragon Council had already reported his abilities yet he himself had no idea how powerful Dragon Aura was it belongs to these nobles.

He did not even know that the Dragonewt nobility possessed this skill naturally. Perhaps it was because their thick dragon blood made them able to use the power of their ancestors.

Bartomalt nodded slowly before raising his voice again.

"Can you show me that aura? I could feel a faint familiar aura from you but there was something else that felt cold and threatening that made me unable to conclude that it was Dragon Aura."

Reus thought for a moment not understanding the intent of 'something else' that Dragon Aura could not call for a moment before recalling something.

'Ah, could it be that something that feels cold and threatening in question is my Sovereign Killer title?'

The Sovereign Killer is the title that Reus got when freeing Aulcrat from the influence of Lucius Maen'ra by stabbing the body of the old man, a title that brings certain advantages and disadvantages to its users.

Different from most other titles that help its users, The Sovereign Killer actually makes its users not liked by nobles and ruling people. The title is said to make its users appear to be a threat to the royals, especially corrupt nobles.

The Sovereign Killer even reduced Respect Reus points by 5,000 points, whereas every time the player gets the title then the title will add Respect points for a player.

It was likely because Bartomalt as well as the nobles in this room saw Reus as an enemy they could sense the dangerous and threatening aura from Reus' body.

"May but is it okay, Your Majesty? I'm afraid the guards inside and outside will react and we'll have to fight a country again."

"Ahahaha, there's nothing to worry about, young man. Let me tell them not to do anything. After all, this is just a testament to your strength. No need to be hostile."

Julius laughed in response to Reus. He laughed not because of Reus's confidence so high that it sounded arrogant but the word 'against a country again'.

That proves that despite the misunderstanding on the part of Bailendra Kingdom and makes the relationship between the two ends bad, Reus is not afraid to have to face a kingdom as big as Bailendra Kingdom.

Either it was because of his figure that was Immortal Being or his foolish courage.

Seeing Julius not letting Reus nod his head softly before exerting his Dragon Aura filled the room, made Bartomalt and the nobles who had been snickering silent ever since felt the aura of the dragon Reus.

Even if they look like idiot nobles, they are still Dragonewt who is the closest race to the dragon. Everything is exactly as Strainer says. In just one look they could feel the aura coming out of Reus was truly Dragon Aura.
