Orbis Online
219. The Fyord de Greagora

The arrival of a large man with the head of a lion managed to attract the attention of Reus. Other than his voice being so thunderous like lightning, this was the first time he had encountered those from the Beastman race.

Being animal-like yet able to walk, think, or act like a human, that was the Beastman race. They are a mixed humanoid race that is quite often found in the world of Orbis Online.

Then about twenty meters away from Reus, stood a Beastman of the lion type. He was sturdy, had a dark red mane enveloping the neck area, also shouldered a giant axe on his back.

The Beastman's presence suddenly made Ramsey release Reus' collar and stand stiff as if in a flag ceremony when stared intently by the lion-type Beastman, while Reus frowned looking at Ramsey's suddenly obedient attitude.

Reus then turned his head towards the Beastman and found the figure staring at him silently with squeaking eyes, making Reus slightly tremble feeling he was doing something wrong.

"Ramsey, go back to your unit and continue your mission. I'll take our guests."

   "Ready-done!"

After saying so Ramsey turned around and stepped away from the place as fast as he could, making Reus once again look at him in astonishment. He had never seen Ramsey behave so either in this world or in the real world.

As Reus looked at Ramsey's back, the Beastman walked closer to him.

"You must be Reus who the chairman wants to meet, right? I'm the Military Chief of Crimson Castle in charge of the Non-Player Division. My name is Fyord de Greagora, you can call me Fyord."

"Military Chief? What did I do to a tall man like you?"

"Oh, your joke is offensive. Chief Crystina is a person of higher standing than me and I heard you even gave some direction to her while fighting in the previous battle. Don't call me that tall guy."

"That's too much, I'm just helping her a little bit from afar."

Reus shook the hand of Fyord who extended his hand first while similarly putting on a smile, but it was only a moment before Fjord strengthened his grip on Reus' small hand and threw it in a direction.

Reus was able to guess in which direction the conversation had just been so that it was able to react and maintain its standing position once it landed after being thrown with one hand by Fyord.

Even if it looks normal, the atmosphere between the two feels heavy and not so friendly. That was why Reus could react so quickly.

"Oh, it's also good for the size of a person who is able to deal with more than a thousand high-leveled troops alone."

"Ah, the Military Chief is overly complimentary. The power of a Beastman is not just a figment."

Both Reus and Fyord threw mocking smiles at each other, but even if it looked so in Reus' heart was surprised not to expect Fyord to attack by throwing his body using one hand.

"Huh, your mouth is slippery too."

Fyord did not respond to Reus' words any further, he took the giant axe on his back and took the horses. Reus who did not understand Fyord's personal matter towards him also drew the sword felt a bad premonition.

"I, Fyord de Greagora, Military Chief of Crimson Castle's Non-Player Division, challenge Reus in a duel!"

Fyord's loud cries echoed all over the Crimson Castle region attracting the attention of the other members, making everyone who heard him feel interested and came to the two to watch.

Reus frowned feeling clueless towards Fyord.

A moment earlier Fyord had Ramsey return to his unit and complete the mission, while keeping all the other Crimson Castle members busy noticing Reus and Ramsey's quarrel back to work. Now then? He instead made the other Crimson Castle members leave their jobs and watch the duel.

Reus sighed heavily before shaking his head and concentrating on Fyord.

"Sorry, but have we ever met and held each other's grudges before until it attacked me like this?"

"No, this is our first meeting."

"Then, why did you suddenly attack me? I also don't remember looking for anything because of Crimson Castle—Hei, at least let me finish talking!"

Not yet had Reus finished his words, Fyord had already advanced first and slammed his huge axe vertically intending to split Reus into two pieces, but the silvery-haired youth did not let that happen so easily.

"Nothing to talk about! Fight me!"

Fyrod narrowed his eyes a little to understand the indecision within Reus.

"I don't care if you attack me until I'm dead or not, but I'll keep attacking you, no matter what you do."

After saying so Fyord advanced with his giant axe, making Reus grit his teeth and decided to think similarly. Reus stepped forward while activating Dragon Power and Dragon Spirit simultaneously before releasing a slash.

   "Dragon Smite! Energy Wave!"

   "Little trick! Full Swing!"

Fyord swung his axe smashing Reus' wave of slashes easily, but Reus did not stop getting there alone. He instantly deployed the Hollow Swords that were now united in the grasp of his left hand, then shook off the Swing.

Unfortunately, Reus' movements have been read by the Fyord, the lion-headed humanoid creature pulls the axe and uses the long handle of its axe to resist Reus' attack.

The sound of metal clanking loudly buzzed in the ears of the Crimson Castle members watching until it made them close their ears.

"Heh, your abilities are not bad as well as utilizing the advantages of two swords and the weaknesses of a big weapon user like me."

"Let it look like I've had a lot of fights that you probably wouldn't believe in numbers."

Fyord's lips curved upwards revealing a pair of sharp fangs, he looked surprised, amazed, and excited to feel how powerful Reus' attack was for a one-handed sword user.

A few seconds into each other's weapons, Reus drew his Hollow Sword and took a step back. He understood that as a human he was clearly outdone if he fought directly with the Beastman like just now.

"Smart move. A human like you would find it hard to match the physical strength of a Beastman like me."

"Of course, but don't equate me with most ordinary humans or you'll regret it."

Fyord raised an eyebrow feeling curious about the intention behind Reus' words, but he had not yet gone forward intending to confirm it, the feathers all over his body suddenly goosebumps as he feels a sharp, foreign aura coming out from Reus' small body.

Fyord's eyes slightly widened upon this. As a Beastman and Military Chief, the number of people who dared to challenge and make the Fyord goosebumps could be counted with fingers. The last time he felt something like this was probably when he met Crystina for the first time.

Seeing Fyord's reaction, Reus revealed a smile.

"Your Beastman race instinct said something, didn't it? I don't want to fight any further and worsen my relationship with Crimson Castle."

Reus said so upon noticing the other Crimson Castle members of the Beastman race who were watching reflexively picking up weapons and preparing to fight despite their expressions saying otherwise. Their faces looked so scared and pale.

Fyord could see the state of the other Beastman members. He knew most of them were around 200 and below, whereas he was not far from 300. Perhaps the reason why he was only goosebumps while the other Beastmen races were so scared and pale was due to the level difference.

"Huh, your aura is indeed powerful and different from that of Chief Crystina, but don't expect me to give up straight away with just this kind of aura."

"Is that so? How about this?"

As if accepting Fyrod's challenge, Reus released all three of his aura simultaneously making most of the audience lose consciousness, especially the NPCs who were now lying helplessly on the ground. Only a few remained, they put in great effort to maintain their consciousness and still fell to their knees.

The fjord who witnessed it all frowned. He was indeed not so affected by Reus' aura, but this sight before him was unbelievable.

As Fyord still refused to stop his fight with Reus, suddenly a familiar voice caught their ears.

"I've felt you can't take it, Fyod, but I can't believe you really challenged Reus to a fight."

   "Chairman Crystina, this...."

Not yet had the Fyord finished his words, Crystina who had just come released such a powerful Dread Aura and pointed it at Fyord. The lion man immediately froze along with a layer of cold sweat flowing down his face.

"Enough, I don't want to hear your excuses. Get back in your room now."

As soon as Dread Aura missed Fyrod immediately stepped away from the scene, while Reus smiled awkwardly looking at Crystina who gestured to follow him.
