50. The Strategist

Upon receiving news from Reus, Dalon and the Raid troops who were camped in the forest immediately packed up the items and set out with excited heart palpitations as well as worry.

   "What about Reus, chief? Is she okay?"

   "You don't have to worry about that, Kynel. We'll meet him soon."

   "Good."

Once he gets a reassuring answer from Dalon, Kynel tries not to worry about Reus too much. Although it looks not so convincing, Kynel knows that Reus has the ability to make HP Potion I which allows it to survive for a long time.

How Dalon can guess the location of Reus, it is because of the special features of the Raid leader. In Orbis Online the leader of Raid is given more authority to supervise Raid— members more precisely the leader of each party who is a member of Raid.

The Raid Leader can detect the location of the party leader following the Raid through his view. On the left side of the current view is an arrow and a distance that indicates where Reus is live.

Sure enough the words of Dalon, it was not until ten minutes that the players who followed this Raid could see a black-robed player sitting on a rock near a tree in front. He is seen sticking a black sword in front of him. Yeah, it's Reus.

Although his figure is almost invisible to the ordinary eyes—if not meticulous—aura typical of Reus radiating out makes Raid players a little daunted. Perhaps the distinctive aura of the Reus is one of the Bonus Skill abilities of Blackstar, Black Form.

   "Geek!"

As soon as he saw Reus sitting on the rock, Kynel immediately approached him as quickly as possible, followed by Ramsey and Gordon from behind. Hearing his name called Reus turned to the source of the voice and stood up to pull Blackstar off the ground.

   "Kynel, Ramsey, it's quick for you to come."

   "Of course, you gave us a warning."

   "I know that."

Reus and Ramsey are seen laughing, while Kynel is silent smiling happily knowing Reus is fine. Although he actually knew that this world was just a virtual world, it seemed like Kynel was carried away by the worldly atmosphere. This is Kynel's first VRMMORPG.

   "Ramsey, by the way, does your cat always have to stick with you?"

   "Not really, why?"

   "You know I don't like cats, do you?"

   "Why really? He's funny."

Ramsey took Gordon off his right shoulder and brought him closer to Reus, causing the silver-haired player to draw his sword forward.

   "Near me with the cat again, I'll chop you into food."

   "Y-yes, all right."

Hearing the threat from Reus, Ramsey puts Gordon on the ground. Although their levels and status differ greatly, Ramsey is actually quite afraid of Reus in the real world.

Once upon a time he shocked Reus to fall in the real world and it certainly makes Reus angry. After the incident Ramsey did not go to college for three days because he had to get treatment in the hospital.

Surely he did not want to feel it a second time so he preferred to retreat if it could ignite Reus' emotions. If it is usually a scary woman when angry, this time Reus will be very terrible if you are angry—even almost as terrible as a mother's broom.

   "Hello guys, can we talk about a serious matter here?"

Reus and Ramsey stopped their jokes and put on a serious expression as soon as Dalon alluded to the terrible video from Reus earlier. They—Reus, Ramsey, Dalon, and the leaders of the Raid forces party immediately gathered in one place to discuss this.

   "You're telling the truth, aren't you?"

   "Of course, what good is it that I lied to you?"

Getting a direct explanation from Reus's mouth in more detail, Dalon and the others could not say anything to comment on it. What they had just discussed was the leader of the monster army that had stayed silent in Viredeta village, Raevolg.

Reus reveals that Raevolg and the invading forces are just a small part of a grand plan from someone named Maen'ra to all the party leaders. This is indeed just a raw conclusion, but the possibility is very large considering the direct speech of Raevolg himself when Reus was in the village square Viredeta.

He also said that there are about 100 or 200 monsters leveled above 70 which would certainly make the Raid army overwhelmed later. The level of the party leaders in this Raid army alone was the highest at 58, clearly the possibility of them losing was greater than his victory.

   "This is just a suggestion from me, Ramsey will handle Raevolg and several tens of those level 70 monsters."

   "Why me?"

Ramsey who joined their discussion meeting looked a little confused and did not understand the flow of the meeting he participated in. Reus and the other party leaders patted their foreheads one by one while shaking their heads slowly.

   "You're the highest-leveled player among all our troops, aren't the opponents leveled around the 100s the ones that suit you?"

   "Oh, right too. All right, I'll be your ace!"

   ''It was fortunate that he was a bit stupid.''

Hearing Ramsey's reply, everyone breathed a sigh of relief—including Reus. They knew that Ramsey was a little stupid, but they were grateful that he could easily accept such a large and heavy role without thinking about the consequences or the strategy of the fight and the war.

Right, Raevolg has a level 100s that can make the balance of war later destroyed. Fortunately the Raid team has Ramsey who is a player level above 100. Despite being alone, they were confident Ramsey could overcome Raevolg and the dozens of monster elite troops consisting of those level 70 monsters.

   "Reus, I think you should be our strategist."

Hearing the words of Dalon, Reus and the other players who attended the meeting were surprised instead of playing. He was surprised, but Reus was able to calm himself so quickly that he did not look so surprised.

   "I? Why?"

   "You're the only one who saw the contents of the village and fought directly with the crowd of monsters whose level even exceeded your own. The person with direct knowledge and experience is the one fit to fill this role."

Just for info, Reus also told of his experience surrounded by high-level monsters in Viredeta village there. Although he did not manage to kill many of them, at least Reus knew how to fight, the techniques, strategies, strength, as well as the abilities of the opponent.

He also set his sights on the other party leaders who somehow agreed to what the candidate said. Gaining the approval of everything, Reus let out a heavy sigh while closing his eyes for a moment.

   "I have two conditions you must meet for that."

   "What's that?"

Without much ado Reus immediately conveyed the terms he meant to all the players who attended the meeting. The party— chairmen including Dalon and Ramsey— were shocked to hear Reus' terms, but no one objected.

And so the story goes how Reus became a strategist for this Raid army.
