153. Escaping VI

The last attack that Reus launched on Rosevince successfully made the soldiers there so panicked and frightened. Almost all of them ran away trying to avoid death before their eyes.

Unfortunately most of the nearby soldiers from Reus did not survive.

"You've come here for me, don't think about coming back! Dragon Aura!"

Reus unleashed a terrifying aura all over, resulting in some of the soldiers falling to the floor without any awareness. It was not enough to get there that Reus also threw some of his closest opponents into the sky using Telekinesis. Gravity is enough to kill some of them.

Not to forget also Reus released Hollow Swords in his left hand, directing the five swords to attack every soldier that could be reached.

Reus has killed more than fifty soldiers since he got out of prison. The exp he obtained was also not bad, especially after killing Rosevince for the second time. Reus's casualty count grew every time he played the sword.

"Sylph, how long are you gonna be watching?"

Reus looked back at the figure of a young witch who had just walked out of the prison door. She is Sylph, a witch and a mad ex-noble who has been imprisoned for five years thanks to the traps of other nobles.

"Sorry, I don't think you need my help dealing with kroco like they do."

"Hey, don't equate the range of a swordsman attack like me with a witch."

   "Hahaha, then I'm sorry."

Sylph laughed for a moment before starting to raise the small magic wand in her hand. The wind around began to swirl around his body and slowly lifted Sylph into the air.

"As his apology I will take care of the soldier who ran while attracting more attention. The Eye of Tempest!"

Above the air Sylph swung her magic wand forward. Within moments a typhoon began to form in the area around the prison, pulling almost all the soldiers who ran towards the exit in panic.

   "Frost Festa!"

Sylph once again swung her magic wand but with a different magic. Now the raging typhoon not so far in front of him froze instantly. The soldiers who were inside the hurricane also froze, of course many soldiers outside the typhoon were affected.

In just a few moments Sylph managed to finish off hundreds of soldiers who intended to escape, successfully making Reus smile awkwardly at the young man who was floating.

"How could you end up in jail if you had this much power?"

"Simply, there are stronger than me."

Sylph landed not far from Reus' side when answering the question. His face did not appear at all exhausted or guilty after exerting such powerful magic and killing hundreds of soldiers alone.

Reus tried to refrain from showing his excitement once he learned of Sylph's enormous magic power. Never had he seen such a huge amount of magic power Sylph exerted other than the breath of Arshwind fire.

Reus also suspected that magic power of this magnitude could only be obtained by a magician of over 300, while according to his conjecture there were not too many players of that level after Claive reached it and activated Main Story.

Sylph's strength was terrifying compared to the current state of the players. If the player knows of its existence, there are two possibilities.

First the Great Legions will try to recruit Sylph, second try to kill him considering after this Sylph was declared a fugitive in the Bavore Kingdom. Especially the members of Gaia's Tree who have quite a close relationship with this country.

As Reus was busy admiring Sylph's destructive power, the sound of prison bells ringing loudly signified something happened. Reus was not surprised at the sound but what he made him wonder was....

"Slowly they rang the bell. Are they soldiers or not?"

"Maybe they underestimated the power of prisoners like you or didn't count myself as free to feel so relaxed."

   "Ah, typical reaction."

Reus smiled for a moment looking at the bell that was ringing, he could see a soldier banging on the bell desperately hoping for help to come.

Feeling that the ringing of the bell was enough to draw attention, Reus took out a crystal ball-shaped Item from his Inventory and gripped it tightly before casting magic from the other hand.

A fireball formed in Reus' hands for a while. After the fireball was formed, Reus immediately threw it towards the soldiers there. It was not deadly but was able to push the soldier away from the bells.

   "You can use magic too?"

Sylph's brows slightly raised watched Reus exert magic from his hands.

"Not really, I only used magic from this Item. My chances of using it only stayed three times before it ran out.

Reus shows the Flame Shoot Orb Skill he had obtained from a Goblin before the battle in Viredeta village broke out on Sylph.

The status of Int Reus was indeed not high when compared to pure magicians like Kynel or Sylph but among Swordsman and other melee-armed classes, reus' magic power could be said to be one of the strongest at his level right now.

"Hey, this is your chance! Don't waste time!"

Reus exclaimed loudly looking at the entrance of the prison, there was a horde of prisoners looking at the situation as well as looking for a gap to run. Unfortunately when they saw the gap, everything went back inside when they saw the tornado and ice magic that Sylph used.

In the end they remained silent in prison until they got certainty from Reus.

The prisoners began to break out of the prison as Reus called out. One by one they left the location after thanking Reus and Sylph.

"They're good people but forced to become criminals because of the coercive conditions."

Sylph suddenly chapped as she watched the prisoners flocked out of the prison location with a smile.

"Why did you suddenly say that?"

"I am the former ruler of this land, I know the difference between the eyes of a truly evil person and a criminal person who is forced. Many of my citizens used to fate like them."

From the short story of Sylph, Reus could surmise that the Lavore Kingdom which he had thought was prosperous and well-being turned out to hold a certain dark side.

He sighed as he imagined the cliche story of the kingdom's ruthless ruler was no longer just a mere fairy tale.

"Alright, enough of his cost. Let's distract the soldiers."

As soon as he finished saying, Sylph exerted wind magic to make herself float several meters above the ground. He expressed his intention to attack the soldiers from above on Reus.

"For now you just focus on protecting the prisoners that the soldiers might intercept from above. You can occasionally help me when I'm in trouble from afar."

"You sure? The number of soldiers heading here may not be just dozens."

Reus gave a small smile in response to Sylph's words. He stepped towards the entrance gate of the prison area and turned to one side of the road where several soldiers were running towards him.

"No problem, if only hundreds I'm sure can survive. If the number reaches thousands I'll need a little help."

Sylph was silent for a moment to hear Reus' statement that sounded so arrogant but Sylph could understand that Reus had the power to make his words come true.

"Then I will look after the prisoners before helping you."

"Yes, then take this. It might be useful to you."

Before Sylph left Reus threw several bottles of Energy Potions and high-quality HP Potions at the magician. Looking at the magic power of Sylph being so powerful, the possibility of her Energy consumption was also great. Reus did not want Sylph to return exhausted or severely injured from running out of Energy.

"Hmph, this isn't very useful to me but I'll keep it."

After that Sylph floated up following the prisoners who had just been free to leave Reus alone facing dozens of soldiers who began arriving.

After the distance of the soldiers and Reus only stayed a few meters, only, only then did Reus deploy Dragon Aura accompanied Swordmaster Aura on the dozens of warriors in front of him before coming closer and starting to play the sword snatching the lives of his opponents one by one.
