Orbis Online

Orbis Online
43. Viredeta Teleport Scroll

After chatting for a while, Reus and Ramsey walked towards the campground where the players who followed the Raid with the mission of eradicating the monsters from the Event Monstrous Invasion camped. In the middle of the road they meet the chairman of the Raid with some of his party friends and Kynel.

Reus briefly explained the chronology of the incident to all the players present there, including Kynel and Ramsey. The candidate decided to call all party leaders and intend to re-strategize and guard the camp.

   "Reus, are you okay?"

"Our bodies are game characters, obviously I'm fine, Kynel."

   "Be-so, huh? Sorry, I don't know."

Kynel bowed in embarrassment at the unexpected reply from Reus. Because he is a more novice player than Reus, maybe he thought that a body in this virtual world like in the real world that could be injured and bleed continuously and must be treated in order to heal.

Actually in Orbis Online every player can be injured and bleed, and, but thanks to the much faster regeneration ability of NPCs, players are rarely seen injured and it is because of the regeneration of the system that all the scars they receive will disappear like a burn.

Ignoring Kynel, Reus refocused his attention on Dalon and the others. Ramsey was also there, but because he did not have a party he just silently observed the circumstances and strategies. Since he is the highest level and strongest player in this Raid, his opinion is also needed. That's why Dalon didn't tell him to get out of the meeting tent.

"Since Reus' party is only two, we will increase the number of players patrolling. Who wants to go voluntarily?"

   "Me! Me!"

"E-uh? Mr Ramsey? Wh why? Isn't Mr Ramsey our main force at the moment?"

Dalon was surprised to hear Ramsey volunteered to be one of the patrol players. Not only was he shocked, but everyone in the tent.

Of course everyone was surprised, it was very unexpected by them. Ramsey is currently at least in the 100s and only he has a level above 70 in this Raid team. If there had been a sudden attack from the monsters, it would have been harder to defend this line later on even though Ramsey had just arrived here.

"Ramsey, you better stay here on guard as the main force."

"But I want to help on patrol."

"Well.... Did a king intervene in a small matter such as a feud between peasants and other peasants? No, right?"

   "Eh? I'm king?"

"This time I admit it, but only in this place will you be king. You understand what I mean, right?"

"Yes yes! Gordon, I'm king!! King, you know, king! Ahahaha!"

Ramsey who looks happy instead of playing it takes Gordon who is a small cat in general—but winged— on his shoulder, then threw him in the air. Even so, it seems that Gordon seems to be just having fun with the treatment of his master.

All the players who were there watched Ramsey with a wry look of astonishment, while Reus only gave a trivial smile while giving a thumbs up to Dalon who was looking at him.

At that moment all the party leaders present put Ramsey in their hearts.

   ''He's stupid.''

"By the way, chairman Dalon, I have a rather crazy idea."

"Oh, what is that, chief Reus?"

After the strategy reform meeting was over, Reus went to Dalon to speak together in secret. The other party leaders had already returned and only Reus and Dalon remained in the strategy tent.

"Actually I have an Item that can make me move in an instant to the Viredeta village."

   "Item!? Don't-don't Teleport Scroll!?"

   "Sstt, don't yell!"

"Ah, sorry, I spontaneously shouted that."

Reus panicked instantly as soon as he got a reaction in the form of a startled shout from Dalon. The item Reus was referring to was the Viredeta Teleport Scroll. He does not want this to be known by others because it could cause excitement, suspicion, and contradictions from other players.

If only he had been caught possessing the Viredeta Teleport Scroll by another player he could have been accused of conspiring with the monsters. Nothing is impossible in Orbis Online, even players who can control monsters are real.

He told Dalon about this because Dalon was the chairman of Raid, he needed to know all the useful information so that the attack on Viredeta village went smoothly without any significant obstacles.

"Can you tell me that idea you think is a little crazy?"

"Sure, as long as the chairman understands and doesn't tell the others."

   "Okay, I get it."

Reus also explained his 'somewhat crazy' idea to Dalon one by one with a sequence. Dalon was stunned, but he tried to nod and understand the 'somewhat crazy' idea of Reus. When it was finished, Dalon who heard Reus' idea was a little incredulous, but he tried to believe it.

"So, you have the Viredeta Teleport Scroll that you got as a drop item which is the result of the fight against the Goblins and Hobgoblins in the Wolf Plains?"

"Yes. I want to use that Item to scout the Viredeta village up close directly."

"But you don't have a Teleport Scroll Checkpoint, do you?"

"Whatis that? Some kind of teleportation item as well?"

The candidate who got an unexpected answer from Reus had a surprised expression. He did not expect that there were players who did not know about the Checkpoint Teleport Scroll which was one of the important Items for Orbis Online players. He sighed a little and finally explained what Item he meant to Reus.

The Teleport Scroll Checkpoint is one of the many teleportation Items on Orbis Online. These teleportation items were the Items that Orbis Online players were most interested in and included teleportation Items that were reasonably priced for lower-middle-class economic players.

As with other teleportation Items, these Items were also capable of teleporting players or NPCs, but with slightly different systems. Before using this Item to teleport, the user would have to put one to three markers first as the place that would be the target of teleportation.

Although there are one to three markers, Checkpoint Teleport Scroll can only be used once. This is the safety mechanism of the Orbis Online system if only the user suddenly wants to change his teleportation point.

Of course, the user can choose one of the three marker points that he wants to choose as a place to teleport. The disadvantage of this Item is that the user must remember the locations of the points he marked to teleport. If he doesn't remember, then he won't be able to teleport.

"Ah, so so. I get it."

"That's how it is, so I'll give you a 50% discount off this Scroll. Five thousand Byl."

Dalon took out a dark brown opaque roll of paper from his Inventory and thrust it at Reus. Reus himself understands that no player is willing to give an Item for free considering that the Byl currency in the game Orbis Online can be exchanged for real currency in the real world.

He sighed a little, then gave 5,000 Byl to Dalon and took the Teleport Scroll Checkpoint from this golden-blonde yellow haired player in front of him.

"All right, I'll go first. If Kynel or Ramsey asks, just answer that I'm on patrol alone."

   "Before that may I ask?"

   "Hm? What'sthat?"

Reus who had already taken the Viredeta Teleport Scroll from his Inventory and was preparing to teleport, suddenly stopped his intentions once he heard the one question that Dalon wanted to ask.

"What is your relationship with Mr Ramsey? Why are you so close to her?"

"Hmm. Just tell me that he and I are good friends."

Right after finishing the answer to Dalon's question, Reus instantly activated the Viredeta Teleport Scroll that he held in his hand.

His body was surrounded by pieces of bluish-white pixel light, and Reus slowly disappeared. His legs split into pixel granules, then spread upward to the ends of his hair.

In the end there was a Dalon inside the strategy tent who was scratching his head in a bit of confusion.
