Orbis Online
42. Ramsey and Gordon

After finishing off some monsters that appeared to be monster scouts, Reus deactivated his Black Form and sat down to rest to recover his lost power in the fight. There was still the possibility of other monsters hiding around the forest so Reus decided to rest to save stamina.

While resting, Reus checked the contents of his Inventory which had been filled by some trash item drop from the results of the previous fight. When looking around, Reus got something that caught his attention.

The Flame Shoot Skill Orb

Releasing the sealed Flame Shoot magic skill inside

Chance 4

Cooldown: 30 seconds

'Oh, this is the glass ball that the Goblin used earlier, huh?'

Reus watched the glass ball he was holding carefully. In the center of the glass ball is seen a small red flame that blazed. The ball was really the glass ball that was held by the Goblin that he defeated in that single slash.

Orb Skill is one of the rare Items that are often sought after by many players in Orbis Online. Wh why? It was because the Orb Skill was able to seal a given magic skill and could be ejected when the user wanted it.

Different from Blackstar's Magic Devour, the Orb Skill can only be used if the Item has been given a special magic skill and usually this is very rare and difficult to do. The only ones who could recharge the magic skills on an empty Orb Skill were only players or classy NPCs Arcanist—and of course the game system.

Arcanist itself is a Silver-Class level class which is one of the advanced classes of Enchanter. Players with the Arcanist class are able to give Enchant and buff effects on various Equip. This class is quite great for players who fill support roles and actually pretty much have this class.

Moreover, if an Arcanist classy player managed to reach the Gold-Class level and become an Arcanemaster, players could give buff and Enchant effects even on inanimate objects and ordinary Materials such as chairs, fabrics, stones, and other materials, nails, and so on. Unfortunately there is only one player who managed to become an Arcanemaster since Orbis Online was officially released and his name is very famous as one of the Hundred Best Player.

Playmore, that's the name of the only player who owns the Arcanemaster class to date. No one has been able to match him in terms of his Arcane Arts skill that has been at maximum level.

Back to topic.

The higher the level of Arcane Arts skills that Arcanists possessed, the more number of Chances that a Skill Orb could obtain. Chance contained in the Orb Skill itself is the number of skills that can be issued by the Orb Skill, then the cooldown is not to recharge the Chance but as the duration of the preparation time to release the skill on the Orb Skill.

Because the shape is round and made of glass, the skill that can be sealed inside the Orb Skill is only a magic skill with Magic and Chant types. So if the Orb Skill was in Reus' hands, this would increase his efficiency in fighting.

"It's disposable, huh? All right, I guess it's okay 'cause it looks pretty useful."

Reus stored the Flame Shoot Skill Orb into the Inventory, then sent a message to the Raid Chief Dalon who seemed to be sleeping quietly in the camp. After he sent a message to Dalon, he also sent a message that was more or less the same content to Kynel who was on the opposite side of him.

He also replaced his Blackstar with the Ironforge Sword which he got from the Level 10 Bonus Treasure Box as the award had reached level 10 in Orbis Online. Because he did not want his precious black sword to attract a lot of attention and become a game of other players, he decided to replace it.

There had not been five seconds since changing his sword, suddenly Reus heard a cry from above.

   "Shatter Ground!!"

Blahar!!

About 15 meters from Reus, an explosion created that made the ground around him slightly raised and dust flying over what had just fallen. After a few seconds, the dust covering the scene disappeared and revealed a creature.

Reus could see it, it was a player with fiery red hair like a fire combed to the right, eyes that were also the same color, had a height that was more or less the same as him, wearing special metallic black Gloves, and it looks so excited.

"Ramsey has arrived! Where's the monster looking for trouble, huh!?"

The player makes a right-handed pose clenched in front of the chest while shouting shameful sentences—for Reus. Reus himself looked at the player with a flat gaze but watched him as closely as possible.

He felt something familiar about this player, from his style of language and expression. The same thing was done by the player who called himself Ramsey so they glared at each other.

Moments later, the two widened their eyes simultaneously with a somewhat loud voice that disturbed the calm atmosphere at night in the forest.

   "Dearis!?"

The index fingers are pointed forward at each other. Those who were similarly shocked instead of the bitch inadvertently made a strange expression that was inexplicable.

***

"Oh, so you were sent by your Legion chief here as a representative of Crimson Castle?"

"so. Here I am an important person, so thank me and serve me!"

"I'd rather fight the Hobgoblin crowd than serve you."

"What do you say, a broken-handed ex!?"

   "Fight up, huh!?"

   "Here you are, newbie!"

"Majusini! You think I'm brave, huh!?"

Reus and Ramsey laugh after throwing RPJ—Role play joke. They have never met or told the name of the game in Orbis Online, but miraculously they can meet in this vast world.

Ramsey—Haris in the real world—players with the Human race, bright blazing redheads, dark red eyes, and his expression looks very cheerful and vibrant. What a contrast to Reus who often seems lethargic and uninspired.

Judging from his appearance, it could be said that Ramsey chose a Martial Artist-like class that relied on body and martial techniques in battle. It could be known once it saw his appearance wearing black Gloves, as well as the iron chest armor that protected his Critical Zone.

Gloves are indeed different from Gauntlets and Boots that are usually used by classy players such as Martial Artist or Monk, but the function of both is actually the same. The difference between the two is just status and weight.

Gloves at first glance can not resist and give a big attack, but the weight is lighter so that Dex status in players will not be disturbed when wearing it. In contrast to the Equip, Gauntlets and Boots put more emphasis on Str and Def status.

Gloves themselves are special gloves for players with a fighting style relying on their own body. These gloves have the status of Str, Def, and Dur simultaneously as well as Gauntlets and Boots, then avoid reducing the player's HP every time they attack.

"By the way, how did you emerge from the sky? You didn't jump from the campground, did you? Then, why do you know I'm here?"

"Oh, I was walking here on Gordon's back and happened to see a bunch of dust rising from here."

'Me-riding Gordon? See dust at night? You kidding?'

Reus looked at Ramsey curiously. Who's Gordon? Why would his friend in this real world see a dust pool in the darkness of a night like this? He was curious, but the feeling has been answered—though only the first question.

From above came a four-legged creature, brunettes bristled with golden stripes, mustachioed, two-tailed, and had a pair of white wings like the wings of a bird from space. It landed right next to Ramsey.

The figure that landed beside Ramsey took the form of a giant winged cat with a length of about seven meters from the end to the end of the tail and a height of about two meters. Ramsey rubbed the winged cat's head which was like asking for a caress of affection from his master.

"This is Gordon, one of the rare Azure Cath type monsters. He's my Pet."

"A-ah, Pet, huh? Is there a P-Pet like this?"

Reus could not utter another sentence because it was the first time he saw a cat of this size, let alone equipped with a pair of wings. He was shocked to see a giant cat like Gordon.

"Hmm? Reus, what's wrong with you? Your face is pale."

Reus could not move from his place and only showed a sour expression that began to bleed. Ramsey who suddenly panicked and confused it could not do anything because only this time he saw the weak side of Reus—Deus in the real world.

What you think is true, Reus is afraid of cats.
