Two hours had passed since the beginning of the monster attack, but the battle between the player and the NPCs against the insect-type mob monsters and their Mini-Boss Gigantic Wormtail had not yet been completed.
The news of the great invasion of monsters towards Redgard had already spread throughout the world through the players fighting in the city concerned. The news that spread quickly made the players outside the city of Redgard arrive.
Although they did not care much about the city and its NPC residents, they prioritized large-scale hunting to get as much experience and Byl as possible. After all, the world of Orbis Online is still a virtual world and they are the players. As long as there is no reward, they will not volunteer to help.
Different from the members of the Crimson Castle Legion who have headquarters and players who settle in Redgard, they try to repel these monsters.
Crimson Castle actually has permission to manage Redgard city as its city from the royal side. Right, the intent of 'permit to manage' here is that Redgard city belongs to Crimson Castle officially.
In the world of Orbis Online there is a system of royal monarchy as it was in the middle ages, then the system of nobility in it also automatically exists. All NPCs and players can be part of the nobles in one of the kingdoms in the Plainfest continent, but all of that must be obtained from someone's contribution to the job.
The head of Crimson Castle had previously made a major contribution to an empire and he was given a noble title as well as a city for himself to rule. But due to a real-world problem, he never touches the world of Orbis Online again after appointing Crystina as the next head of Crimson Castle.
When Crystina came to power initially the members disagreed and many left the Legion, but there were still some players who remained loyal to Crimson Castle. This did not discourage Crystina and put much effort into making the Crimson Castle Legion one of the Top Rank Legions on a global scale.
Thanks to the hard work of Crystina and its members, Crimson Castle managed to rank eighth. The glory of Crimson Castle has been achieved in the reign of Crystina which until now has never been dropped or replaced by other members.
Because of its position, Redgard is a valuable city for Crimson Castle and Crystina. The desperate battle they were doing right now was done to protect Redgard which was the origin of the Crimson Castle standing.
If the past and the foundation are wasted, how can we move forward? The thought of the members is what makes them fight all out in this war.
In the city square, Crystina was standing staring at the insect-type mob monsters. He along with his beloved sword—Griselga's Fang—spreads fear at the mob monsters that come to him. It was one of Crystina's skills, Dread Aura.
Dread Aura is a Chant-type skill that is usually mastered by a classy Warrior— class player who usually uses a two-handed sword as his main weapon—or the like. This skill can make creatures around users who are considered enemies feel high-level fear to the point of barely being able to move or even fall if the skill level is high enough.
The downside of this skill is that the effects of Dread Aura will not be so powerful or durable if the level of the opponent is above the user. The advantage was the opposite of its weakness, the Dread Aura effect would be more effective and durable if its opponent level was low.
While giving the Dread Aura to his enemies, Crystina raised her Griselga's Fang sword up high, then pedaled it smashing the ground. The explosion of the swing did not impact the surrounding environment, but instead propagated forward through everything in its path.
It was one of Crystina's Physical-type skills, Push Wave. This skill was a low-level skill capable of gathering large waves of attacks into one and directing it to anywhere the user pleased.
With a single strike from his Push Wave, the insect-type mob monsters blocking his way from the front were all rendered lifeless. Not only her great strength, but also her excellent fighting abilities and techniques made Crystina one of the respected players in Orbis Online.
"Surge!!!"
Crystina did not target these insects as targets, but she had already designated the Gigantic Wormtail that was the mastermind behind all this as her opponent. Well even though he could kill him in a single strike due to the difference in level as well as the distant power, Crystina's tactics were indeed simple long ago.
The head is always attacked first to destroy the balance of the body, that's the simplest strategy that he used since he first played Orbis Online. In fact, he used this strategy when conducting a Raid on a Dungeon and facing a Dungeon Boss or a Mini-Boss Dungeon.
Shortly after he continued to fight through these annoying insect-type mob monsters, Gigantic Wormtail had already managed to enter Crystina's attack range. He did not feel so surprised considering that he had indeed put his feelings into this battle.
"Meet you, alaska's big worm! Feel this!!"
Crystina, whose frustration was mounting, was about to swing her sword horizontally from right to left. His powerful horses also showed that he really wanted to end this endless battle.
"Ultimate Skill: Horizon Edge!"
Along with her emotion-filled shout, Crystina swung her Griselga's Fang with all her might horizontally. From the former trajectory was created a giant wave of red shades of blue darting rapidly towards the Gigantic Wormtail in front of him.
The nuanced red waves split everything that was passed in one attack, even the houses of the residents also looked badly damaged due to this one skill. In an instant, all the insect-type mob monsters that were hit by his attack as well as the Gigantic Wormtail that he was targeting were split apart.
The skill that has just been used by Crystina is one of the strongest skills that are called Ultimate Skill by the players, Horizon Edge. The ability of this skill was very simple, but its destructive power was truly terrifying.
Ultimate Skill: Horizon Edge is one of the strongest skills in the world of Orbis Online. This skill indeed only showed a wave created from sword slashes, but the power of the destruction of this skill was completely out of reach of skills with the same ability.
If other skills are able to make attacks multiply by about 300% or 500%, Ultimate Skill: Horizon Edge can issue power up to 2000% of ordinary damage in one attack.
Because of this skill, the mastermind of Redgard's attack had been defeated by Crystina. The players who are in Redgard got the notification that his Boss has been defeated, now only those who try to clean this city from the insect-type mob monsters that Gigantic Wormtail brought earlier.
"Huh, you little bug-bother!"
After her task was over, Crystina spit into just about anywhere and then stepped towards the Crimson Castle building leaving hundreds of monster corpses strewn across the streets of Redgard with her beloved sword, Griselga's Fang.
From that city the start of the Event called Monstrous Invasion is spread among Orbis Online players with incredible speed. Of course this is the conversation of any player and even until discussed by Orbis News.
From Redgard, Reus and his friends learn that an Event called the Monstrous Invasion has begun.
