115. The Ultimate Buff Work

A terrifying aura came out from Ash that seemed to have entered Berserk status, it could be seen from the changes to his body and aura. Reus and Ikshan could only bend the muscles of his face watching this happen.

   "Reus, have you ever fought a monster in Berserk status before?"

   "If monsters have never been, but if human NPCs I've fought them. Two at a time."

   "Then did you win?"

   "Well, the goddess Fortuna was really on my side at the time."

Ikshan was wryly heard an unexpected reply from Reus. Basically the movement of NPCs and mob monsters in Orbis Online is very different, which is why Ikshan did not expect Reus to win the fight against human NPCs in Berserk status.

Unlike most mob monsters that only move based on algorithms, NPCs use their intelligence as AI to manage their own movements and strategies. Thanks to the existence of AI is what will make them develop like real humans.

Well, Reus himself defeated a group of thugs who wanted to spear him at High School time, so he wasn't so scared or worried when fighting high-level AI-based NPCs that were close to genuine human intelligence.

   "Then, will the goddess Fortuna side with you again this time?"

Ikshan patted Reus on the shoulder and asked the question, but somehow his expression at this moment seemed so calm. On the contrary, there was a faint smile on his lips indicating that he was not afraid to witness the changes Berserk had made to his enemy Ash.

Seeing Ikshan's spirit ignited out of nowhere, Reus let out a short sigh before his lips also flashed a smile.

Reus turned his gaze to Blackstar who was in the grasp of his right hand with great hope, then closed his eyes for a moment concentrating on that dull black sword of his.

   'Please lend me your strength once more, Blackstar.'

After muttering that in his heart as if speaking to Blackstar, Reus steadied his heart and opened his eyes, then looked at Ash who was in Berserk status several meters in front of him.

Usually Reus would directly attack using magic from Blackstar to distract his opponent, but currently there was no Magic Skill left in his beloved sword.

The only one he could use right now from Blackstar was Black Form which was still within the cooldown. It would take at least another half a minute for the Bonus Skill to be used, but it seemed that the enemy would not wait any longer.

   "Graaah!!"

With a shrill cry Ash lunges forward towards Reus and Ikshan. Both hands were ready to launch several consecutive attacks at once, at least that's what he wanted to do.

Ikshan swiftly launched a Jamming Ball which stopped his movements for a while. Of course, Reus did not want to waste the golden opportunity Ikshan had given him.

He immediately darted using a Sprint, then swung Blackstar with an ordinary Swing. This time he aimed for his neck in the hope that everything could end like before. Unfortunately, the attack only caused a small scratch on Ash's neck.

   "Curtain, just scratched? Then accept this!"

Reus quickly turned around and netted a few ordinary slashes, but the speed of his sword swing was simply incomparable to his previous attack. Maybe this is the effect of adding Dex status which is worth 9 points each level up from the Freelancer class.

Although Reus' attack was extremely fast, speed alone was not enough to injure Ash who protected his Hard Skin.

   "Fucking cockroaches!"

As soon as the Jamming Ball effect disappeared, Ash immediately swung his left arm intending to attack Reus, but the silver-haired player was too nimble for him right now. Reus was able to dodge Ash's attack easily, but his footing became shaky thanks to the wind rage that Ash's left arm caused.

   'Can I beat him? Even the wind from the swing of his arm alone can make me crash.'

While muttering inwardly, Reus tried to improve his standing position. Even though he had grown stronger in a short time, still he could not win against Ash alone if he did not use the Black Predator's Ouroboros Mode.

As Reus tries to balance his body, Ash darted quickly towards him with a hand ready to punch along with Smite. But the attack was thwarted by the side of the pendulum kusarigama Ikshan who quickly shot to the hand of Ash.

Ash was stunned to find that weak attack managed to stop his fist, his attention to Reus was weakened. Of course this opportunity was not wasted by the silver-haired player.

While activating Dragon Power along with Dragon Aura, Reus swung his sword with all his might.

   "Energy Wave!"

The energy wave slash hit Ash's body fiercely, but it barely made any impact even though his Str, Vit, and Dex statuses had been strengthened by as much as 30% once it activated the Dragon Power skill.

It is true that Reus is now much stronger than a while ago, but with Ash's status in Berserk condition his strength now cannot be as effective as before.

At times like this, Reus usually thinks of some effective way to defeat his opponent, but Ash's power can destroy all his plans.

After sheathing a crushing attack, Reus immediately jumped far back taking some distance. It consumes some Energy Potion to recover the lost amount of Energy. It took several bottles until the Energy parmeter was full again.

   "Alright, I think this is enough."

Reus threw away the Potion bottle he had drunk, then called out to Ikshan.

   "Ikshan, come here and attack Ash with your strongest skill!"

Ikshan who heard Reus's call immediately darted as fast as possible with his kusarigama who was ready to attack Ash from behind, while Reus closed his eyes concentrating, then plugged Blackstar into the stone floor.

When Ikshan had already reached a considerable distance from him, Reus deployed the only Ultimate Skill he had.

   "Ultimate Skill: Joker Field – Ultimate Buff Work!"

As soon as the skill was activated, the imagination inside Reus' head flowed out up to 50 meters away with himself as the center. A circle 50 meters in diameter in golden white appeared in the air giving a shock to Ash and Ikshan.

   "D-this?!"

A semi-transparent white panel appeared in front of his face, making Ikshan look great.

   "Moon Scythe Art Series: Third Form – Moon Fall!"

He throws his kusarigama up as high as possible, then pulls and whips it as hard as he can to Ash who can't move because all his status turns into minus, including Dex.

   "This time, you die!!"

Blaarr!!

In one deadly attack Ash finally breathed his last breath, along with the destruction of Ikshan's kusarigama to pieces.

1.) This story is not inspired or plagiarized anime or LN Sword Art Online by Kawahara-sensei. It is true that I am a fan of his work, be it SAO or AW, but Orbis Online is not the least bit inspired from there, so stop equating this with SAO because it is much different about his life and death.

2.) For those who ask for updates, sorry yes, I write and update according to mood and time. If time does not support even though the mood is supportive, it will not be up, the opposite applies. So for those of you who still like to charge up with negative effects like "where up thor?" or "old bener up", please contemplate yourself 😊.
