"Are you the Nocht Alvarion, the Blackmoon Dwarf who is the renowned Kingdom Forger in Lavore Kingdom?"
As soon as he heard the last sentence from Reus' lips, without wasting much time Noire immediately swung his axe intending to split Reus' body into two pieces, but unfortunately for Reus who had expected this to happen can avoid it easily.
He just needed to take a small step back.
Noire clucked softly realizing his attack could be avoided so easily, but he did not waste the momentum of his axe swing and immediately drained the weight of the axe eye and launched another attack.
As someone who spent most of his life forging various supplies as well as a short-bodied Dwarf, he was, noire's attack looked so slow in Reus' eyes that he had gotten used to fighting enemies above his level that the silver-haired young man once again dodged Noire's attack.
Ikshan who saw all of that from behind was about to take a step to help his groupmate, but Reus gave a sign that Ikshan did not interfere. Ikshan did not understand Reus's thoughts but complied with the young man's request.
He had often seen Reus's strength and abilities beyond reason, a Dwarf without high fighting ability like Noire was not a meaningful threat to Reus so not to worry.
Noire's attack did not stop in just two slashes, he continued his chain attack on Reus hoping to at least successfully nudge one attack, but those expectations were inversely proportional. Reus was too nimble for a Dwarf like him.
"Damn it! Stop dodging and let me chop you up!"
Noire loudly exclaimed in annoyance that none of his attacks had made it in.
"Hmm? You really say that? Is there a sane person who voluntarily gave up his life?"
"Waras? I've never heard of a sane man who dared to come to this country since the Bailendra Kingdom feud with the Menschrein Kingdom!"
"Then you've just met these two people."
Noire wanted to make a strong rebuke to Reus' reply, but his lungs disagreed. It could be seen Noire's breath was so wild after a few minutes of continuing to swing his heavy axe without successfully entering a single strike.
He might be a Dwaf who had forged hundreds to thousands of pieces of equipment during his lifetime, but he was not used to fighting so his stamina was much more quickly depleted than when forging equipment. Moreover, his palm technique looks careless.
Reus rubbed his chin looking at Noire who was panting, he felt an awkwardness towards Noire.
"Hey, did anyone give you some kind of curse that caused your abilities or status to decline?"
Upon hearing Reus' words Noire's expression instantly changed, his eyes narrowed yet did not let down any vigilance. He was surprised that Reus knew his condition in a few moves.
"How did you know that?"
"This is just my guess, but as a Dwarf forging various equipment during his lifetime your stamina is worse than my acquaintance who is also a Dwarf as well as a forging."
Reus remembered the figure of Fira, the girl with the Dwarf race and one of his sister group, Mirage was also not so good at fighting but at least he could last longer than Noire in terms of stamina.
"Especially I heard that the quality of your forged equipment is not as good as other Dwarves even though you are a Blackmoon Dwarf, that one fact alone is actually enough for others to know the awkwardness of you."
Reus' statement managed to make Noire's expression go bad, he never expected a young man who looked as simple as Reus to be able to analyze so far with just an information alone.
Noire's heart was indeed shaken by Reus' words, but as a Dwarf he could not take his defeat for granted.
"Never thought of you that I was just a talentless Dwarf? Especially among the Blackmoon Dwarves?"
"Then, why?"
"If I tell you why can you stop attacking me? Honestly, I don't want to get into more trouble than this."
Reus scratched his cheek while smiling dryly after saying so.
His head was quite troubled by the matter of the Order of Chaos and the Arshwind Seal, not to mention the condition of the citizens of Bailendra Kingdom who were clearly hostile to humans. He was sure that even though he was not looking for trouble, it was precisely the problem that would continue to come to him.
It's a mandatory law for people who fall into big trouble like this.
Noire was a little hesitant towards Reus' words because other than not knowing him, he did not know who was the person behind Reus. Noire could tell Reus' strength was not something that could be found every day, he could see all of that after Reus was able to dodge all of his attacks so easily.
'After all, if he had bad intentions then maybe my head had slipped out of place.'
Noire let out a long sigh before lowering his cocked axe at Reus.
"I'm sorry, I thought you were their friend who gave me this curse."
"No problem, I understand your situation is a little careless then life is the bet."
"Oh, you're understanding, young man. You're making me feel guilty."
Noire chuckled after making sure there was no ill will from Reus, he also kept his axe back at the waist. Reus could see that was proof of Noire's belief in him.
"So, can you tell me why you believe that I am Nocht Alvarion, not some untalented Blackmoon Dwarf scum?"
Reus nodded slowly before taking out a letter from his Inventory and giving the letter to Noire whose forehead shriveled violently as his gaze fell on the emblem stamp of the letter.
"I understand your concerns, but I can guarantee the author of the letter is no longer in control of the Order of Chaos."
Noire opened his mouth to say something to Reus who knew about it, but no words came out of him so Noire could only close his jaw and open Reus's letter.
At the same time, a semi-transparent panel appeared a few inches in front of Reus and Ikshan's faces. The panel informed them that their mission of delivering Aulcrat's letter to Nocht was successfully completed.
Reus and Ikshan's doubts about the Dwarf's identity before them soon disappear, it is certain that the Blackmoon Dwarf who calls himself Noire is the Nocht Alvarion they are looking for.
As the two were busy paying attention to the Quest completion panel, suddenly their ears caught a sobbing sound that was known to have originated from Noire—Nocht Alvarion. Blackmoon Dwarf was crying after reading the letter from Aulcrat until it ran out.
"Thank God, Sylph.... Your suffering behind bars for the past five years...."
Nocht could not help but hold back his Dwarven tears, then fell to his knees on the floor as a feeling of worry that he had been craving all along. Her crying became more and more so as time went on.
Seeing that, Reus smiled for a moment before inviting Ikshan to leave the room. Ikshan actually objected because he still wanted to witness the sight of the Dwarves crying like this, but Reus insisted.
"He will need time to calm himself down. Judging from his reaction it was likely high written the good news he had been waiting for after all this time on the letter."
Reus did not wait for Ikshan's answer but instead pulled the man's shoulder, dragging him towards the exit without caring for Ikshan's rebellious reaction that was no less stubborn.
