40. A trap?

Unexpectedly, Reus who accidentally discovered this strange situation while patrolling had already entered into the traps of the monsters. Rather than a trap, it might be more appropriate to call it a strategy.

   "Fucking ghost!"

Reus swung his sword slashing at Ghost diagonally, but what happened was unexpected. His sword just flashed through his body as if Reus was just slashing through the air.

Seeing this Reus widened his eyes in surprise. He had completely forgotten one of the most important information when facing an astral type monster like this Ghost. Each astral type mob monster has a resistance to physical attacks of up to 90%.

Different from other games that if classy players who rely on physical attacks will be greatly harmed, in Orbis Online physical attacks can still injure astral type monsters. However, of course, because of the resistance status on physical attacks that reach 90% it is very, very detrimental to players like Reus.

Reus who clicked his tongue realized that he was greatly harmed in the fight against Ghost immediately took three big steps back to keep his distance. He also did not forget that not far from his place there was a Wolf who was running towards him.

The Wolf that was running towards him was different from the other Wolf-Wolves in the Wolf Plain, his level was higher. Reus himself knew this because the average monster in this Event Monstrous Invasion was level 30, he said, whereas he had just got that level when fighting against the Minotaur who was the Dungeon Boss inside the Lafos cave.

   "If this is what you can do. Hollow Swords!"

From Reus' body came a black cloud of smoke that instantly gathered to form five twin swords floating around him. The five swords immediately attacked the Ghost in front of Reus slashing them alternately on the same path forming a wheel-like spin.

The attack made the Ghost monster disappear in an instant. Although Ghost had resistance to physical attacks up to 90%, his Vit status and HP count were very few. For Mage class players or something like that, Ghost is the weakest mob monster.

If you are surprised, Reus' Hollow Swords skill includes Magic-type skills so that the physical attack resistance contained in Ghost will not be able to fight the skill. The result is as you can see.

In Orbis Online skill is divided into several types, but in general there are four types that are most known by players and NPCs. Physical, Magic, Chant, and Build, those were the four skill types commonly known to players and NPCs.

Physical is a type of attacking skill directly using the body or weapons, an example is Swing. This skill is usually owned by players with Swordsman class, Fighter, and the like who rely on Str status to increase their attack power and strength.

Meanwhile, there is a Magic-type skill, which is a skill that attacks from a distance or medium without the need to hit the opponent directly. A real example of this type of skill was Hollow Swords. If Magic-type skills are definitely used by Mage-class players and the like, huh?

In addition to directly affecting the opponent's HP bar like the previous two types, there is also a Chant-type skill. This type of skill can affect the status of opponents, friends, or yourself so that those given this type of skill will become stronger or weaker than before.

An example of this type of Chant skill is Black Form which is a Bonus Skill from Blackstar owned by Reus. About the owner of this type of Chant skill is usually classy Enchanter, Cursemancer, or the like.

As the name implies, Build type skills are skills related to making or building something. Just take Reus' Alchemy and Fira's Smithing for example. Usually players or NPCs who possessed this type of production-grade skill such as Alchemist, Blacksmith, and the like, but Reus was the exception.

Reus himself knew a little that the skill with indirect attacks was usually of the type of Magic as Hollow Swords, so he wanted to experiment and practice it at once. As a result, as seen, the Ghost before him was defeated and disappeared in an instant.

However, it does not make Reus happy and forget the surrounding environment. He immediately turned his body towards Wolf who was running about to hit him. Reus kicked the ground and darted forward swinging his sword horizontally while using Swing.

In one slash, the Wolf's body was split in two by Blackstar who was grasped by Reus. It was Flash Swing, the combined skill of Swing while jumping forward at full speed that Reus created. Although it was not an official skill, it was actually quite a powerful skill when compared to ordinary Swing.

Depending on the speed, power, strength, and luck factors, the impact given by adding certain movements to the skill can vary. But even though the movement is as weak as anything, the impact successfully given will increase by at least 1%. If you are lucky, it may be 3% or 5%.

For Reus's Flash Swing attack just now, his strength had increased by about 20%, given how fast and powerful Reus' sword jumps and swings were. Because the condition is still prime, no wonder if the additional damage to that size.

   "Wolf and Ghost are in order, I have to tell Dalon before the other monsters finish—"

Reus had not yet finished his sentence, he had already been greeted by a fireball that shot rapidly towards his face. Not having time to fend off using Blackstar, Reus rolled to the side avoiding the fire magic.

In an instant the bushes behind were burning as a result of Reus dodging the attack just now. There was no big thunderous explosion, there were only small explosions like the eruption of balloons and the sound of flames devouring the surrounding material.

   'The Mage? Is there a Dwarf Shaman here? Or another mob monster that could use magic skills?'

Reus muttered that in his mind watching the fire-elemented magic skill that had just flashed almost about him. Although he was eager to use Blackstar to devour and counterattack with the fire magic skill, unfortunately if he did not dodge it could-be his HP bar reduced drastically.

There was a fundamental difference between a Physical type skill and a Magic type skill. Magic-type skills usually have a tremendous impact but the power of energy consumption is very large, while the Physical type skill has less attack power but the amount of Energy needed to activate it is less than the Magic type skill. Two completely opposite things.

While his mind was hovering, Reus was struck by a shadow coming at him from behind—, remembering the moon was radiating its rays to the maximum. He immediately looked back to check whose shadow it belonged to, but it was too late.
