Two days without feeling passed in an instant. Reus, Ikshan, and Ibane have now stood in front of a magnificent giant building known to the citizens of Bailendra Kingdom as the Dragon Palace.
""Wow, this palace is bigger when viewed up close.""
"Hey, this is Dragon Country. What do you expect after seeing the giant wall surrounding this city? A normal-sized palace? That's right."
Ibane commented on the two who looked enthusiastically looking at the giant palace in front of them, but unfortunately ignored.
As the three fell silent in front of the palace gate, several Lizardmen warriors approached them.
"Are you Reus, Ikshan, and Ibane?"
"That's right."
"Come inside. Your Majesty and the others have been waiting for your presence."
Reus nodded slowly before starting to step into the palace after the gate opened, followed by Ikshan, Ibane, and several Lizardmen trailing behind him.
Ibane actually slightly objected to these Lizardmen following them, but as human-looking beings their suspicions and vigilance were quite reasonable. Reus had also expected this a little so that Ibane could only understand.
In any case, their kingdom is currently in hot conflict with the human kingdom in the east there. No matter how high the Three Dragon Boards looked at these three humans, one Draconian looked human, it did not mean that the other citizens of Bailendra Kingdom could directly accept the presence of the three openly.
The presence of Reus, Ikshan, and Ibane escorted by several Lizardmen soldiers managed to steal the attention of the palace residents. Not a few palace residents looked at the three players unsightly, but there were some people who looked at them with curiosity.
Little smiling Reus realized their existence was unacceptable to most of the palace residents but in any case, the three of them had received a direct invitation from the King and the Three Dragon Council to attend the meeting. Inevitably they had to endure the piercing gazes of the inhabitants of the palace.
"Ah, you guys have come apparently. Hurry up too."
As Reus and the others were walking while avoiding the piercing glare from various directions, a familiar voice for Reus and Ikshan came greeting them from the front.
"Captain Strainer?"
"You remember me apparently. I'm honored."
The warrior-looking Lizardmen, full of armor and spears hanging from their backs, are the Strainers of Worgniel, one of the first Lizardmen Reus and Ikshan encountered while crossing the border of Bailendra Kingdom.
Reus expressed his gratitude for the gold badge Strainer gave him when he passed the border and said the badge helped them every time they entered a new city.
"What's wrong? These lizards are your acquaintances?"
The unfiltered words of Ibane first caused not only the gaze, but the killing intent to begin to seep down and lead to the Draconian. Reus and Ikshan were also among the killers who caused Ibane to shed cold sweat on her back.
Strainer himself chuckled at the strange sight before him, making Reus and Ikshan, as well as the other palace dwellers raise eyebrows in astonishment.
"Ah, I'm sorry. You guys have a pretty unique sense of humor, huh."
"Captain Strainer, I think it's okay if you want to pinch or slap a slap on this one Draconian. I don't mind."
"Hey, I'll mind!"
"Hmm? Is this just my feeling or do the people in this palace see me as an idiot?"
""Isn't that so?""
"Don't retaliate along with such a sinless face! You want me to burn alive, huh?!"
Strainer couldn't help but smile at this rare absurd sight, but before she carried herself further she cleared her throat for a moment to grab the attention of these two humans and one Draconian.
"Sorry, but it's good we're rushing to the meeting room. We're getting enough attention now."
Thanks to a minor altercation between Reus, Ikshan, and Ibane almost all eyes look at the three. Not only the inhabitants of the palace but also some nobles who were most likely one of the invited clan leaders of King Bailendra Kingdom.
Guided by the Strainer, Reus' party walks into a meeting room that has been attended by a considerable number of Dragonewt, as well as a small number of Lizardmen and representatives of the influential reptile race throughout Bailendra Kingdom.
All the attention of the people in the room immediately turned to Reus and friends, they looked at the three with unpleasant looks except for Salvinius and a few others.
"Ah, you must be the famous Reus, Ikshan, and Ibane, right? My name is Julius Dracian Arshfell, King of the Dragon Country."
As the atmosphere became heavy a standing Dragonewt introduced himself, he wore a fiery red robe accompanied by a golden crown decorated with various precious stones making anyone able to recognize his identity.
"Thank you for the invitation, Your Majesty."
Reus and Ikshan bowed their heads in response to the king's greetings, even though Ibane, who was often looking for trouble, was also polite. It was natural considering that they were currently surrounded by so many high-leveled people.
When entering the hall—no, more precisely when setting foot in the palace courtyard, the three found quite a lot of Dragonewt and Lizardmen level 250 and above acting as palace guards.
Unlike the small Kingdom of Lavore in the Central Plainfest, Bailendra Kingdom was one of the greatest powers of the Northern Plainfest, and its military power was very different from that of the Lavore Kingdom.
In Lavore Kingdom a person of level 250 may have included the Elite Knight unit which in fact is the strongest army in the entire country but in this Dragon Country, people of that level only end up as palace guards.
This made Reus wonder inwardly what exactly was the main force of Bailendra Kingdom?
"Not to think about it, I am currently in a position asking for help. I should be the one to thank Mr. Reus and his friend for complying with my request."
"No need to bother, Your Majesty. Think of it as an apology for causing trouble downtown a while ago."
Most of the people who heard the conversation of Julius and Reus raised their eyebrows alternately felt astonished. They did not feel the immense power emanating from both Reus, Ikshan and Ibane's bodies, so why did Julius look so disinclined to even respect this human being?
No one dared to raise their voices first, they could only wait for the two to finish the greeting conversation, except for the two who were sitting next to Salvinius.
"Has anyone finished this polite greeting? We're not gathered here to see this kind of thing, are we?"
"Your Majesty, please don't be so pleasant-talking and just start this meeting right away."
Julius and Salvinius put on bitter faces to hear the words of the two but did not delay the reason they had gathered in this place any longer.
After making sure Reus' party was seated comfortably, Julius opened a meeting whose main focus was to ensure that Reus and his comrades could join Bailendra Kingdom's forces against the Menshcrein Kingdom in the next few days.
