237. Supervisory Envoy

Five days had passed since Reus' group meeting with the nobles in the Dragon Palace. As long as those days passed today they had the arrival of a Lizardmen and a Dragonewt.

They introduce themselves as Julius' emissary who comes to help Reus and the others.

   "So, your name is Lucia and your name is Dante?"

   "Right, Mr. Reus."

Reus watched the two from bottom to top gradually.

In one look he could guess that this female Lizardmen named Lucia had a Priest or Cleric-like class who acted as healers in a group, while the Dragonewt man by the name of Dante was seen from the spear he carried probably his class if not Dragoon then another class of spear holders.

However, seeing himself as a Dragonewt who has dragon blood Reus is entirely convinced Dante has the Dragoon class. It was one of the best classes in the Silver-class level for spear users.

   'Perhaps because in our Party there was no healer His Holiness Julius sent a high-level healer as well as his bodyguard.'

Reus could see Lucia was a healer of level 270 while Dante's level was only left with a finger count of one hand from Lucia. Sending healers and high-level fighters like this despite knowing Reus' level was still in the 250s made Reus suspicious.

It was likely that the two of them not only intended to help but also to supervise and restrict the activities of the Reus group which allowed Bailendra Kingdom to suffer losses.

Julius was very cautious of Reus' group.

When Reus judged the two as best he could, he found Dante looking back and forth as if looking for something. He knew the reason Dante looked so agitated.

   "If you're looking for Ikshan and Ibane they're leveling up in the nearby Dungeon."

   "Ah, my intentions read that easily, huh?"

   "Don't read it you're showing it blatantly."

Dante smiled dryly confused as to what to respond to. Though he had been given a secret task to keep an eye on Reus' group but he instead failed before running it.

Reus explains that he does not care if the two of them are also assigned to supervise his group. As long as it did not prevent them from taking a step that did not harm Bailendra Kingdom it was more than enough.

   "Maybe that's my message as long as you're around us. The rest of you are free to do anything."

Once finished welcoming the two Reus back to his room to make as many potions as possible so that the supplies during the battle are sufficient. He advised that as much as possible not to be disturbed during making potions.

Lucia and Dante nodded according to Reus' words before looking at each other with a look of confusion.

   "Lucia, did my ears mishear or was that human being making potions for war supplies? I heard from Mr. Oscar he's a close combatant."

   "I don't think you heard wrong, Dante. I heard the same thing. Mr. Ariel also told me something similar."

The two hesitated a bit but decided to write this down in their daily reports later. Now they have to focus on watching the things Reus, Ikshan, and Ibane did to keep them from doing anything strange during the prewar period.

Aside from waiting and watching Reus' room from the guest room, Lucia and Dante barely did anything and it made the servants there tense up.

Lucia and Dante just sat there until a small commotion broke out in front of the inn. They decided to check the commotion lest Ikshan and Ibane return and do something but let alone check, they could even see what was happening from where they were sitting.

   "Hey, get me the lodging chef! Have him prepare to cook something with this!"

When Ibane reached the door of the inn he found Lucia and Dante looking at him with astonished looks.

   "Ah, you must be Lucia and Dante, the envoys of the Three Dragon Council that Reus mentioned, right? Please cooperate when the war breaks out."

He introduced himself for a moment and explained what he was really doing. Anyone could guess the question behind the shocked expression mixed in confusion as he looked at Ibane dragging the cow monster.

   "I have the Cooking skill so for the past few days if the lodging chef is free I challenge him to a cooking fight as well as prepare food supplies for the war later. If you want you can be the judge later, okay?"

Without waiting for an answer from Lucia and Dante, Ibane again stepped into the kitchen with the cow monster half his life. He left the two in a more confused state than before.

As they recall both Oscar and Ariel have informed that Ibane is most likely a melee fighter and has an unusually strong Dragon Aura. Even if Oscar and Ariel put their Dragon Aura together they might still not match half the aura of the Ibane dragon.

But now? Both of them do not see or feel something like Dragon Aura or the like of Ibane, instead they see Ibane as a chef who likes to cook.

   "Oh, as usual, Ibane did behave as he pleased. His attitude is annoying but he is not a bad person. Please understand."

While Lucia and Dante's attention is still glued to the strange figure of Ibane, a voice comes and surprises both of them. They would have almost pulled a gun and been on standby had it not been for Ikshan to hold their arms so as not to behave in this manner.

   "No need to pull a gun. I didn't come here to look for anything."

Ikshan then introduced himself. Although the possibility of Lucia and Dante being able to recognize himself from a distance of a hundred meters there is no harm in introducing themselves to the group's teammates in the war later, right?

After finishing greeting the two Ikshan pamit back to his room to repair his equipment while making some Equip backup for Reus, Ibane, and himself if they need a spare weapon in time.

Both Lucia and Dante silently shed cold sweat on their backs glaring at the figure of Ikshan who suddenly appeared without their detection, even though on a level they should still be above the human.

If Ikshan had been an enemy and intended to kill then both could have died without knowing what or who killed them.

   "Lucian.... Do we have to write a report on all this?"

   "I'm not sure."

None of the two had the courage to report anything that Reus' group could after witnessing Ikshan's abilities that were far from normal.

Even if they had not seen the strength or ability of Reus and Ibane, Lucia and Dante could roughly calculate the extent of the strength of the two. If they fight in groups Lucia and Dante are sure they won't last more than half a minute.

If Reus, Ikshan, or Ibane wanted it, they would have been killed.

While they were still frozen in fear, Reus' voice resuscitated Lucia and Dante. The two were aghast when they realized Reus even clapped his hands in front of their faces for the Lizardmen and Dragonewt to awaken.

   "Hey, I have a letter addressed to His Holiness Julius. This letter contains some information about our enemies in the Menschrein Kingdom there. Can you tell His Majesty Julius?"

Dante who was recovering faster from his shock received Reus's letter with a surprised face.

   "How come? Do you really have a relationship with the Menschrein Kingdom?"

   "I have eyes and ears on the enemy's side, but I hope I don't have to use my eyes and ears just to make sure this letter falls into the hands of His Holiness Julius."

Reus wore a meaningful smile to answer Dante's question, who now nodded quickly before stepping away while pulling Lucia's hand as soon as possible in order to escape the strange pressure between the three abnormal players.
