91. Berserk NPCs

The trangg! The trail! The traaang!

After successfully killing one of the Knights who became his opponent, Reus had already received hundreds of powerful quick attacks from the two remaining Knights. With the status of Berserk who was able to increase the strength to a certain level both Knights were able to suppress Reus who had exerted all his strength.

Although the Dragon Slayer Sword Reus could not defend perfectly because the attack speed of these two Knights was incredible. He could only withstand and dodge a few attacks while continuing to retreat until he reached the city thanks to the cooperation of these two Knights.

   'Damn, this Berserk status is really troublesome!'

While continuing to face his opponent's attacks Reus also consumed Potions regularly in order to keep his HP parameters in a safe place. He did not want to use the backup HP that was on the HP Stack before it was really critical.

His sword continued to clash with the swords and shields of the Knights in order to fend off the attacks, but thanks to Berserk status that made his opponent's abilities increase Reus could neither resist nor dodge these attacks.

When looking at the gap Reus immediately took the opportunity and jumped far back creating a considerable distance. The two Knights immediately darted about to catch up and attack Reus back, but their movements came to a halt as soon as they stepped on the umpteenth step.

It was caused by the yellow-colored liquid from the Stun Potion potion that Reus had poured onto the ground while leaping backwards earlier. He had already prepared some Poison and Stun Potion in his pants pocket before entering the mayor's residence just in case.

Storage of Items in Orbis Online is not limited to the Inventory system alone, but also every detail of clothing or goods that have enough space can be used as a place to store Items. This feature is one of the factors that make Orbis Online one of the best VR games today.

   'I don't think this trap is effective enough, but it certainly won't last long.'

Reus only smiled faintly seeing his trap succeed, then immediately retrieved something from his Inventory. A few seconds later the two Knights who fell into Reus' simple trap were able to move back and as quickly as possible to dart with a deadly strike.

When the deadly attack came Reus was done with his preparations. As the Hollow Swords duration was up, Reus could not resist the attacks of his two opponents any further so grabbed the hilt of the black sword already available on his back, then pulled it out.

   "Black Form: On."

Instantly, Reus darted forward with a high-damaged attack on both opponents with the Dragon Slayer Sword and Blackstar. This attack of Reus made the two Knights bounce back despite successfully reducing damage with a makeshift sword stalk because Reus's movements were so fast that they were difficult to catch by their eyes.

Reus did not miss this opportunity and immediately moved quickly closer to one of the Knights while deploying Dragon Smite and Swing one each on both of his swords.

   "Double Anchor!"

Braaakk!!

In one strike from his two swords Reus managed to destroy the shield that made his opponent look great in disbelief at what he witnessed. The power of Dragon Smite and Swing was indeed far different, but if the two combined it was not impossible for a single attack from Blackstar to reach 700% of its original strength.

If Blackstar alone whose strength was far below the Dragon Slayer Sword, how would the attack power grant Arshwind who had been given a reinforcement of up to 300 dmg points in the meantime? The answer is one, terrible.

The destruction of the Knight's shield was certainly not wasted by Reus who immediately launched his next attack as fast as lightning. In just a few consecutive attacks from the Dragon Slayer Sword and Blackstar alone the Knight was already lying on the ground without a life.

There was no need to wait for Reus' time to immediately dart again towards the remaining Knight.

He did not want to waste time because the active duration of Dragon Power and Dragon Spirit was only a few seconds away, both of these skills are very necessary to finish this fight as quickly as possible considering that Reus' stamina has started to reach the limit thanks to the consecutive attacks from his opponent who pushed back on him.

The knight raised his sword up high which then gave off a dazzling white light. Reus' attention was slightly distracted thanks to the light.

   "Dead you! Holy Wave!"

When Reus' attention was distracted, the Knight released a vertical slash from a distance launching an attack of waves of bright white radiant energy. Reus realized this and immediately turned his body to avoid, unfortunately the attack was not successful he avoided completely.

Zraaat!

   "Aragh!"

The wave attack managed to cut off Reus' left elbow which caused this silver-white-haired youth to scream in pain and reduce his HP to the point of touching a number that almost brought him to death again. Even though his left hand was in as much pain as Reus could possibly ignore him.

He took the spare HP from the HP Stack he had accumulated before until his HP recovered to reach 40%.

   'For the sake of Neptune's debt, this level of pain was too terrifying!!'

While shouting that in his heart was full of annoyance, Reus took in as many breaths as he could and set his foot as hard as he could on the ground darting at full speed towards the Knight who felt that he had won seeing that his opponent's limbs were incomplete.

   "Dragon Smite, Swing!"

After activating the two skills Reus deployed all his remaining Energy and 30% of his HP to strengthen the Dragon Slayer Sword. In two breaths Reus had already separated the Knight's head from his body.

Knowing that he managed to defeat the Knight, Reus immediately collapsed to the ground while trying to swallow his screams because the pain from the cut of his left elbow to his bottom had not disappeared. But all of that only lasted a few moments.

No more than ten seconds later Reus' left hand gradually recovered quickly. Reus saw his hand grow back but did not think too far. He had already guessed that this was the power of the Online Orbis system that only players or Immortal Being possessed.

After the pain subsided and his left hand recovered as it was, Reus rose to his feet and walked towards Blackstar who was lying a few meters away from him with intermittent breathing. He picked up Blackstar and stored it back into the Inventory before sighing.

   "A fight like this is really exhausting, I've been stumped."

While saying that Reus sheathed the Dragon Slayer Sword back onto his back. He did not expect that NPCs who were exposed to Berserk status could become this violent and horrifying, especially himself against two Berserk NPCs at once.

Reus examined his body which turned out to be a form of Black Form had been released. It was possible that this form had been detached ever since his left hand was cut off and Blackstar was no longer held by him.

He does not want to be troubled by trivial or severe problems for the moment, so he prefers to go back to the previous inn and rent a room to rest his body that feels very heavy.
