"It's...."
The nobles who were against Julius' wishes to recruit Reus as a temporary military unit for the battle against the Menschrein Kingdom later now fell silent as soon as they felt the Dragon Aura that Reus was emitting.
Julius and the three dragon councils who were also there were stunned when they found out that the Dragon Aura Reus that fit Strainer's words was stronger than most of the Dragonewt nobles in this room.
Not only Julius and the three dragon councils, even the first Strainer to feel directly the dragon aura of Reus was quietly pouring cold sweat on his back. In his heart he was grateful not to clash arms with Reus when he met at the border.
Reus pulled back his Dragon Aura when he saw the reaction of the people around him. He smiled faintly before raising a voice.
"Is this enough to prove some of my strength?"
Julius and the others are awakened from their daydreams by the voice of Reus. They were so stunned by the dragon aura of Reus that it was not supposed to come out of the human body but instead felt stronger than most of the Dragonewt in that place.
"That's more than enough but can I ask you one thing?"
"As long as I can answer please."
"Are you really human? I've never known a human being had Dragon Aura, let alone this strong."
Bartomalt no longer looked at Reus with suspicion. In the spotlight now he feels more fear and worry for human beings but his strength feels more like a dragon-blooded person that he does not know.
Reus thought for a moment before answering. He felt that there was no harm in the people in this place knowing a little about his secret. After he gets what Reus wants, he may never come back to this country.
Too much hiding a secret can also usually invite unpleasant surprises.
"I am a race human being but I once drank and bathed in dragon blood so I got the title The Half-Dragon-Man. Does that mean I'm a half dragon?"
Reus' answer invited a harsh reaction from the nobles. They immediately stood up and took some distance from Reus, even Julius and the other three dragon councils reacted similarly. The guards of the room immediately unsheathed their weapons to Reus' plot.
Their reaction made Reus sigh heavily. Although he had expected something like this to happen when he revealed his secret but Reus had not expected the Dragonewt's attitude to change so far.
"It is only fitting that he has such a powerful Dragon Aura! He has killed and absorbed the power of our ancestors!"
"Humans are unbelievable! We must finish them off here before this kingdom is destroyed by them!"
"Fuckin' man! This is why we cannot get along with other races! Especially humans!"
"Guard, finish them off!"
The guards did not hesitate to push their weapons intending to stab Reus' entourage once they got the order, but when the guard just moved three steps a cold and heavy aura immediately filled the room made everyone who felt it if not lose consciousness or fall on their knees then shed cold sweat.
Everyone's gaze was fixed on Reus and Ikshan who were currently as shocked as they were, then the attention shifted towards the only person who looks calm and unaffected by the heavy aura—or rather he is the source of the blaring aura.
"You are just a lizard that has a split of dragon blood on your body yet dares to be a vigilante without hearing anyone's explanation? That's great, yeah, that's the dragon's descendant."
No one dared to respond to Ibane's words until he removed the aura that was suppressing everyone in the room. Once the aura disappeared everyone could then breathe a sigh of relief but a new fear was created in their hearts.
"It looks like your head is getting colder. Please continue the discussion."
Ibane ignored the incredulous expressions of all those who felt his aura and closed their eyes as if not caring about the condition of those who now lost their strength due to the aura.
Reus needed to blink his eyes a few times not believing what he was feeling. That aura was not something foreign to him.
'That was Dragon Aura, right? I sensed that there were some other thin auras that were slightly different from my Dragon Aura, but it was unmistakably Dragon Aura!'
Reus's guess is not wrong. Ibane also has Dragon Aura and this can be said to be reasonable considering he is Draconian, a bloody dragon race results from crossing dragons with non-reptile races but surely no one thought that the aura of a dragon as strong as it came from a Draconian.
It was just that Dragon Aura Ibane had just been extremely powerful, too powerful even for the noble Dragonewt of Julius' class and the three dragon councils whose incident was the most viscous dragon-blooded clan in the entire Bailendra Kingdom.
If it had to be compared to the Dragon Aura that Reus took out earlier, it would be, Ibane's Dragon Aura felt at least ten times stronger to the point of being able to make some of the room's guards and nobles in the room fall to their knees if not lose consciousness.
It took some time for everyone to recover from the attack of the aura of the Ibane dragon but the atmosphere in the room was no longer the same. Neither Bailendra Kingdom nor Reus dared to raise their voices.
"Ehem.... We have received a warning from Mr. Ibane. I don't think there's any need to panic until you act like that again."
In the middle of the atmosphere as heavy as a mountain, Strainer ventured to open the sound of melting the atmosphere. Strainer's actions managed to lighten the atmosphere but the nobles who rejected Reus's previous entourage now no longer dared to speak except Bartomalt.
"Right, we apologize for being inappropriate. We must admit we felt panicked and threatened when we heard Mr. Reus' statement. Apologize and acknowledge our attitude."
"No problem, Count Bartomalt. Your enmity with humans is enough to make you worried, plus humans whose strength is not yet known to join this noble meeting and say such things would make you panic not overbearing."
Reus understood the vigilance of these nobles towards those in the human form, moreover, he said something that caused misunderstandings in front of them. Reus is aware that some of these events also occur due to his mistakes.
He then briefly explained the reason behind his 'The Half-Dragon-Man' title and how he faced a dragon in a certain room. Of course he didn't mention Arshwind or the hundreds of magic he used from Blackstar.
"so apparently. Forgive us for coming to the conclusion."
"Hope Lord Reus not to take heart for our panic today."
"As long as we understand each other there is nothing to be concerned about."
Seeing Julius and Bartomalt apologise alternately made Reus' chest feel relieved. He was lucky to be able to talk about this well.
Reus then turned to Ibane intending to thank her for her slightly excessive help just now but when their gaze met, the Draconian put on his widest smile until it looked annoying as if to say....
'You owe me one.'
Reus who saw that cursed with all his might in his heart. He now felt a dilemma between wanting to thank or throw a sword slash at Ibane.
