133. The Love Night Festival

After traveling for several days both Reus and Ikshan had arrived at a town called Galvest not far from Alvast, the capital of Lavore Kingdom. They immediately booked an inn to stay overnight before continuing on their way to Alvast.

   "By the way Ikshan, what did you do after you got to Alvast?"

   "Hmm. I promised to meet my girlfriend and play along through Plainfest, but it looks like she's been playing with someone else when we train at the teacher's place."

   "Sorry about that, you're following me."

Hearing Ikshan's remarks, Reus felt guilty practicing for two months at Randolf.

   "You don't have to feel guilty, I'm a fan of yours anyway and thanks to following you I got a Special-Class class without a penalty and all sorts of other things that I might not have gotten alone."

Ikshan's lips curled up a smile that did not want Reus to feel guilty, after all he was intending to practice under Randolf's guidance. There was no reason for Reus to feel guilty.

Reus' smile expands a little to see Ikshan's face which does not require him to feel guilty, but his smile is not a smile of relief.

The day has begun to approach dusk, the right time to start walking in the Land of Night Festival. Although the city of Galvast is not as grand and as big as the capital of Lavore Kingdom, Alvast, it does not mean that there is no festival in this place.

According to the locals tonight will be held the Festival of Love Night, a festival where there used to be a pair of deities descended from heaven and established love in this place for seven days and seven nights.

This festival has been held for the past week and tonight is the last night, the culmination of all activities of the Love Night Festival.

It is said that when couples come and celebrate this festival then the Goddess of Love will give eternal love to them, especially on the seventh night which is the highlight of the festival.

   "It looks like next year I can bring Mia to this town if we're still playing."

Ikshan's eyes twinkled listening to the origins of the Love Night Festival, while Reus only nodded his head a few times. She never had a boyfriend, so she added the story to her brain if she had one day.

While walking around the city Ikshan told me about himself and Mia—sang his heart lover—to Reus. Although Reus never had a lover, he listened carefully and several times also grieved or happy for his friend during the vent session.

Sometimes Ikshan and his lover quarrel, but some time after the two get along, but a few moments later they come back again and get along again, and so on.

   "But for some reason lately he's been cold to me, it's been more than three months in the real world."

Ikshan sighed once before telling him again how his girlfriend reacted when meeting or replying to his message. Her lover also often goes for night walks with his female friends without telling his purpose to Ikshan, making this ninja classy man lonely and heartbroken.

   "Maybe he's tired of me, huh? Considering it's been more than four years of dating."

At a time when Reus High School was not the current Reus, he was good at talking and liked to hang out with anyone, had many friends and often smiled kindly. But all of that certainly did not last long.

One day Reus was invited to date by a younger classmate named Reana Flaregarde, a daughter of a well-known company leader in Indonesia. Reus accepted his invitation without further ado.

The days that Reus lived were quite pleasant to be in a relationship with Rea, but the relationship only lasted about five or six months.

Just when wanting to celebrate the sixth anniversary of their month, Reus is humiliated by Rea in front of many people by deciding Reus and stating the days with Reus are just a 'kids' game. Rea is actually engaged to Hiruma— classmate Reus and son of the founder of a well-known company in Indonesia— for a long time.

Rea invites Reus to date because Hiruma's plans are not happy about Reus' attitude and nature are so good and friendly to anyone, so Hiruma intends to destroy Reus' mentality.

On that day when Reus was faced with the reality, almost all friends who knew him shunned Reus because they thought Reus was a man 'female thief'. They did not want their lover to be taken away or seduced by Reus.

Since that day Reus was isolated and bullied by his classmates, even some of them did not hesitate to beat him up because of Hiruma's incitement. Not a few students also stay away from Reus because of Hiruma and Rea's plans that have been spread.

At that time Reus promised in his heart that he would not approach or accept the call of women carelessly.

Reus had pretended to be in a relationship with Kurenai a few months ago, but that was because Kurenai was his sister's friend and the relationship was limited to just pretending and lapse a few days. Reus had no problem if it had been said so from the beginning.

   "I'm sorry, I brought up something that shouldn't have been revealed."

   "It doesn't matter, after all tonight is a good time to confide, right?"

The sound of fireworks exploding from the middle of the city when Reus finished his story, signalling the seventh day Love Night Festival has officially begun. Ikshan could only smile wryly in response to Reus' timeliness.

The two then walked to enjoy the entire festival while spending time. Although sometimes they take center stage because of the mask they wear and walk together as men, Reus is not particularly interested in that response and prefers to enjoy the festival.

He doesn't go out very often and goes to the crowds in the real world, so Reus wants to know what it's like to go to a festival with a lot of people.

As they step down the street enjoying the festival crowd, Ikshan's steps suddenly come to a halt which makes Reus also stop walking. Reus was puzzled to ask why Ikshan had suddenly stopped his steps, but Reus could see Ikshan's eyeballs were thickened violently from the hole of his mask.

Out of curiosity Reus turned his gaze towards the direction Ikshan was looking at. There he could see many couples walking hand in hand, but there was one partner who caught his attention.

A handsome bright blue-eyed blond man was equipped with complete iron armor, a sword at the waist and a shield at the back, and, walking hand in hand with a woman with reddish brown hair and emerald green eyes that captivate any man.

Reus does not know the couple, but from the player's cursor mark hovering over their heads and the characteristics of the woman Reus can conclude something while hoping that his guess is not really real.
