165. The Slyph

A few days after the agreement was made between Reus and Crystina, now in front of the inn are seen some people have gathered at one place to be the attention of the surrounding residents who passed by.

"Hey Reus, isn't this mask too flashy? Why not just take it off?"

"Stupid, this could at least protect a bit of our identity in order for Crimson Castle not to be too suspect. Don't complain."

   "Okay, chief."

Ramsey was downcast as soon as his words were responded by Crystina but his face was not too happy. Reus could see Ramsey's displeasure but chose to ignore it, given that the mask Ramsey was complaining about was inviting attention.

"Well, it's time for you to go to the palace. The guard must be tighter but if you find any difficulty, let me know. As much as I can come."

   ""Ready-done!""

Ikshan and Ramsey exclaimed simultaneously before jumping up and running on the roof of the building towards the palace. Their move was quite harmonious even though Ramsey's class was not too supportive to do things like Ikshan, in fact Ramsey could offset the speed of Ikshan as a player specializing in light movement.

Perhaps because of his level that was close to the 300s Ramsey could rival Ikshan in terms of speed that had Special-class speed specialties like Assassin, Phantom Reaper.

Not long after the two left came some seriously equipped soldiers besieging Reus' group.

"Hmm, less than I thought. I thought there would be more."

Reus stroked his chin for a moment looking at the number of soldiers coming far from his estimate. He thought wearing a mask would provoke soldiers quite a lot because it has the hallmarks of what happened to Alvast a few days ago but the assumption was wrong.

"Reus, let me. You and the chairman just save the energy to fight the others."

   "Then I'll help Kynel."

Kynel and Dunk stepped forward to approach the soldiers making them wary.

Reus himself did not forbid or stop the two but he warned them not to cause too much damage and innocent victims.

"Stop where you guys are or we'll play rough!"

The warning of one of the soldiers was not well responded to by Kynel, the girl simply smiled before stomping her huge magic wand onto the ground forcefully. Moments later the ground on which Kynel stood created waves like waves of water emanating from him.

The soldiers were aghast to watch the ground wave, they did not have time to react and eventually fell to the ground thanks to the occult incident.

   "My turn! Burning Bind's!"

Dunk unleashed a blaze from his hand that immediately turned into a chain of flames binding the entire soldier in an instant.

"Hehehe, how am I, Reus? Pretty great, isn't it?"

Dunk looked back at Reus as he rubbed the tip of his nose while puffing his chest, making Kynel a little unhappy because most of the factors Dunk can successfully bind them all is the earth wave just now.

Reus gave a small smile before raising his left hand forward, telekinesis on the soldiers who were being bound and threw them a few meters into the air before falling back to the ground.

Crystina, Kynel, and Dunk glared at the supernatural. They were now looking at Reus with a look of disbelief.

"This is what you're supposed to call 'great enough'."

Reus puffed out his chest as he said so.

Soon more soldiers came to their place. The soldiers came because they saw their comrades suddenly drifting while screaming loudly. It is no secret that it is one of the capabilities of the culprit of the prisoner who escaped a few days ago.

   "Heh, they really come more."

Crystina murmured to see many warriors coming. He lifted the Great Grega from his stuck position on the road then propped the greatsword on his shoulder while smiling widely.

"Chairman Crystina, you better save your strength to fight Xavier. I'm sure you'll need it later."

Crystina's brows were slightly raised to hear Reus' words that sounded like he was underestimating her but, he had never faced the number one person in this Kingdom while Reus had already faced Xavier. Thanks to that Crystina simply complied and lowered her sword back.

Reus looked at Kynel and Dunk for a moment before pulling the sword on his back and darting quickly using Sprint towards the ranks of the soldiers. In an instant Reus had already plucked out several soldiers' lives with a swing of his sword.

Reus's speed became doubled as the equipment he was wearing right now was not the Dragon Scale Armor anymore but the Dragon Scale Cloak, the new Equip that Ikshan had overhauled from the Dragon Scale Armor became lighter.

---

Dragon Scale Cloak +1

Level Req: 280

Def 525

Even though his defense was quite reduced than before, now Reus could more freely play his sword at will.

Not only was the Dragon Scale Armor overhauled by Ikshan, but some of Reus' other Dragon Equip series were also overhauled to be lighter and suitable for Reus.

---

Level Req: 280

Def :190

Against Dragon damage - 15%

---

The Dragon Scale Gloves

Level Req: 280

Def :210

The Dragon Scale Shoes

Initially Reus did not believe it and had refused when Ikshan intended to remodel his Equip because the Equip is so valuable but after seeing the results of Ikshan's reshuffle on the other Equip, Reus gave all of his Dragon Equip series to Ikshan to be reworked.

Despite the considerable cost and the slight reduction in his defensive status, Reus did not regret his choice. Especially after knowing the Special Trait Set on Equip Dragon series before is not lost.

Thanks to that Reus can more ferociously play his sword slashing every opponent that comes his way, making both Kynel, Dunk, and even Crystina freeze watching the action of Reus facing dozens of soldiers alone.

"He's definitely not an abnormal player...."

Crystina who first commented saw the power of Reus directly through her own eyes. He slightly regretted Reus' refusal to join his Legion but, he did not give up.

In the future Crystina is determined to recruit Reus back when the situation is calmer.

In the royal palace, precisely in the throne room gathered several people including the ruler of Lavore Kingdom. The elderly man sitting on the throne in the room looked at a man who was kneeling next to his feet not far in front of him.

"How is Sylph de Corvette? Did he accept our offer?"

"Yet, Rajaku. Quite the contrary, he was opposing harder than ever."

The man explained that despite being bound by the anti-magic chain, Sylph was able to cast some magic onto some guards despite being so weak that it had no effect whatsoever. He refused all the food and drinks provided to him.

The old man on the throne stroked the white beard on his chin for a moment to hear this.

"The results are inversely proportional to what you say, Verys."

"I'm sorry, my King. I guess the chances of success are 50 to 50 to make his life spirit disappear when we tell him the truth."

The man called Verys slightly lowered his head as he said so, making the king snort softly not caring about it any further.

Since being captured by Xavier, Sylph was imprisoned in an empty room in the basement of the palace. On his first day the king visited Sylph and told her the whole truth about the events of five years ago in which almost all the nobles including the king himself trapped her into a trap.

The reason why it was done was because Sylph's magic power was too great to be considered threatening the position of the king and some other nobles. The king and the other nobles worked together to hire a group of great powers to do its duty and so be it.

This was told by the king himself to Sylph so that the young witch felt desperate and was getting worse living life so that her power could be utilized by the king and nobles for the military, he said, unfortunately, this is inversely proportional.

"If he refuses to cooperate with us then let him rot in that prison for the next few years."

No one rejected the king's decision, they all agreed it was the best. The more the worst Sylph in prison, the higher the chance of his wits disappearing and being freely utilized by the nobility.

It would be a pity to lower the death penalty on Sylph in the near future given her enormous magic power.

   "My king! There's important news!"

As everyone in the room was silent, someone barged through the entrance with a panicked face accompanied by cold sweat. He caught the attention of everyone there, including the king.

   "Speak."

   "Okay, my king."

The man set his breath for a moment before kneeling down next to his feet in front of the king.

"Rajaku, the Immortal Being prisoner who made a riot a few days ago returned. Reportedly now he is not alone but brings three people with him."

The people around discussed while the king's forehead shriveled quite violently.
