After witnessing the power of Reus being able to defeat Brandon without difficulty, no more warriors dared to block his path. The road was soon abandoned by them, leaving a collection of lifeless bodies complete with equipment.
"You... Who exactly is...?"
By the time all the soldiers had already hurriedly left the location, Reus could hear the feeble voice of Brandon who was dying. Seeing his giant sword piercing through his body, Reus was sure Brandon would not last more than a minute.
Reus approached the dying man.
"I'm a nobody. I'm just a swordsman who wants to go to Bailendra Kingdom but you guys get in the way, even more so take my precious sword."
"Sword...valuable?"
Brandon glanced at the sword in Reus' hands feeling puzzled, how could there be a higher quality sword like that sword?
"You must be wondering why there is a sword more valuable than this sword, right?"
Brandon just nodded his chin slowly not having much energy left. Even if he realized that he was dying and was dying soon, at least he wanted the curiosity in his heart to disappear.
Reus sighed while scratching his head for a moment.
"I can't explain the details but it's a very dangerous sword. The previous owner told me that the sword must not fall into the wrong hands."
Brandon did not look satisfied but he understood Reus' explanation even if it was only half. He let out a long sigh the last time he raised his voice.
"Take my sword...."
"Hmm? You sure?"
"I don't need it. In the world there.... Better..he's in the hands of...."
Right after saying so, Brandon breathed his last breath. His lips smiled at Reus, a smile Reus did not understand.
Reus wanted to reject her but at the same time he had no reason to reject her. In the end Reus grabbed the hilt of the giant sword and was about to save it to the Inventory, but a semi-transparent panel appeared to stop him for a moment.
Brandon Lastcrow bequeathed the Great Grega to you. Do you want to accept it?
Yes / No
Reus's eyebrows slightly raised read the contents of the panel.
"Oh, is there this kind of feature?"
Reus muttered for a while before pressing the 'Yes' button there. In an instant the great sword that was stuck on Brandon's body disappeared into pixel grains. Now the great sword called Great Grega is residing in the Inventory of Reus.
Great Grega
Level Req: 240
Dmg: 850-870
Dur :1320
Fighting monster damage +30%
"The sword can too."
Reus muttered softly looking at the semi-transparent screen that contained information regarding the Great Grega, Brandon's great sword that was given to him. He closed the information panel after reading it.
"Maybe I'll have Ikshan shrink this weapon with his Handy Weapon."
Leaning off a sly smile on Reus' lips after saying so, he could imagine how the opponent would react when he learned that the sword was actually a giant two-handed sword that was reduced in size.
Even though the strength of the Dragon Slayer Sword is still stronger, it is because of its high Level Requirement and including terrible quality swords, while the status of the Great Grega's power is quite reasonable for a two-handed greatsword of its level.
If Ikshan can't shrink the size of the Great Grega, maybe he can sell this sword at the Orbis Forum. Great Grega-class swords are expensive and difficult to find.
"What did you imagine until your face was so weird?"
Reus' daydreams split when he heard someone's voice. He turned his head to the source of the voice and found Sylph looking at him with a astonished face.
Reus cleared his throat for a moment before correcting his strange facial features. His cheeks were slightly flushed with embarrassment.
"Not to think about. So, the prisoners are safely out of Alvast?"
"Yes, they are currently trying to make a journey towards the exit of the kingdom."
"Good if so."
Reus smiled faintly at Sylph's report. He looked back at Sylph.
"So, which noble family is the target of your revenge?"
"My revenge target is only one, the Zackfone family. Their residence was in the area the nobility lived in, around the palace."
"Is that so? Coincidentally my destination was also to the palace, my sword was kept in the royal treasure room."
Sylph's eyebrows shot up quite high upon hearing Reus' words, she narrowed her eyes slightly looking at Reus.
"You still intend to go there? Breaking into the royal treasury means you'll be the biggest fugitive in the entire Lavore Kingdom, perhaps the greatest of all time since this kingdom was founded."
"You really said that after seeing these bodies?"
Sylph turned her face for a moment looking at the surrounding area. He patted her on the forehead only to realize that her question just now was a stupid question.
Before Reus or Sylph raised the voice once more, a large number of steps began to be heard with tremors on the streets.
At a corner not far from where the two stood can be seen a large army consisting of new soldiers. The number is less but the equipment is slightly different from the previous troops.
"Oh, is their main force on the move?"
"Major squad?"
"Yes, usually they are only deployed when fighting against Gavore Kingdom or other kingdoms. Their levels are about 200 and above."
Reus raised his eyebrows hearing Sylph's statement. An army of level 200 and above? Isn't that a money field? That is what Reus thought today.
"Well, let's start killing them."
"Hey, wait a minute! Don't just go forward like that or you could die so easily!"
When Reus' fifth step was stopped by Sylph. The young witch explained this army was not like the soldiers in the prison before.
"They have a certain formation devoted to killing, their ability to play weapons is also not low. If it had to be compared to maybe eight to ten people they could match the Elite Knight you fought before."
Reus' forehead shriveled when he heard Sylph's explanation. Even though he was able to finish off Brandon who was one of the Elite Knights without great difficulty, it did not mean that Reus was able to fight dozens of people that strong alone. Especially his Energy was quite drained after facing Brandon before.
"I can see your condition. You better take a break to recover the energy, I'll take care of them all."
After saying so Sylph raised her height while approaching that 200s-level squad from the air. Reus wants to stop the Sylph who is seen acting rashly but he undoes the intention when remembering the magic power Sylph showed in prison.
"Rather than resting to restore Energy, I better find shelter so as not to be exposed to stray magic."
Reus scratched his head for a moment while looking at the troops there before running small looking for an empty alley that is usually located on the sidelines of the building to take shelter. If Reus does not take refuge there is a possibility that he will become a victim thanks to Sylph's large-scale magic.
Sure enough, not long after that Reus began to hear a fierce rumble coming from Sylph magic.
"At least wait for me to take cover!"
Reus sped up his steps towards the empty alleyway between the buildings while holding his head worried that a flying stone had landed on his crown due to Sylph's magic.
