150. Escaping III

   "Sir, you're really back!"

   "Sir, please set me free!"

"Don't listen to the words of a ruthless killer like him, sir! Just let go of me! I will follow you for life!"

Such was the welcome from the prisoners when Reus returned to prison, making the silver-haired player smile wryly in response. Almost all the prisoners threw insults at each other and raised their values so that Reus released them.

Before heading to the storage room to retrieve the equipment, Reus and Ikshan decide to release the prisoners whose criminal cases look less severe. They promised to release the detainees based on his identity and criminal record.

Fortunately, almost all prisoners in this place do not commit significant crimes. Most prisoners only commit theft or pickpocketing, some murderers also exist but based on the testimony of guards they kill due to coercive conditions.

Reus also had a quick look at the criminal records of the prisoners so he had already decided who he would release.

One by one Reus unlocks a certain holding cell and gives them the weapons and supplies he took from the storage room.

"I don't know what happened to you guys after this, but don't act criminal again if you don't have to."

All the prisoners Reus released nodded in agreement. None of them wanted to feel the prison anymore. Reus also added that after this they should go as far away from Lavore Kingdom considering they are fugitives.

Some prisoners who were not released because the crime was too great had protested but were ignored by Reus, while the rest could only hear all that and accept how fate guided them.

"Ah, I brought the criminal book that this prison warden holds. Never try to interfere with my business if you still want to live."

The free-spirited prisoners did not want to oppose Reus. They had already seen how Reus was able to incapacitate the soldiers without needing to take up arms or touch opponents. Even mice can understand it is not a wise decision to look for problems with people with such high abilities.

They were all NPCs while Reus was a player or Immortal Being, even if Reus died they could still be hunted by him to the ends of the world though.

After commemorating the prisoners, Reus asked them to wait a while if they wanted to get out. The prisoners were confused but did not question Reus' decision.

Reus then stepped towards one of the locked cells and had someone inside. A young man of 20 or 30 years old, wearing a witch-style robe and hat. His legs and hands were tied by an anti-magic chain.

"You're Sylph de Corvette, aren't you? A witch as well as a mad noble who destroyed his own territory using large-scale magic?"

Sylph raised her chin looking at Reus with her eyes half-opened for a few seconds before lowering her face again.

   "Yes that's me. Whatdoyouwant?"

"I want to set you free, is there a problem?"

Sylph's forehead shriveled, she looked back at Reus who did not look joking.

"You know what I did and you want to set me free? Are you stupid or crazy?"

"Maybe both. There is no sane or clever person who challenges and rampages within the territory of a Legion alone, that is what my friend would say."

Sylph coughed at Reus' plausible but illogical words. His view of Reus changed slightly, now he saw Reus as a madman worthy of admiration.

"You're really challenging a Legion by yourself? I thought the guards were just exaggerating your actions."

"I've been helped by a friend of mine, so you can think that's a little overkill."

Reus chuckled as he finished his words. His laughter stopped when one of the prisoners he freed told the soldiers to start arriving. It was then that Reus realized his last clone had disappeared.

"All right, I'll get straight to the point. I don't have much time."

After saying so Reus crouched down right in Sylph's cell and looked at the young man deeply.

   "dangerous? Whatchu mean?"

Sylph's eyebrows shot up upon hearing Reus' words. He seems to be interested in Blackstar.

"There's no time to explain the details. I need your help to get him back. As long as you can avenge yourself against the royal family and the other nobles who threw you in here."

There was a change in Sylph's face after hearing Reus' words. His expression became colder than before. He could not ignore Reus' statement just now.

   "How do you know that?"

   "Hmm? Isn't that simple?"

Reus chuckled for a moment before getting up. He pulled the sword on his back then looked towards the entrance where several soldiers had arrived. A fight between prisoners and soldiers in the room is inevitable.

"Your eyes don't say you did it, the opposite can happen. There are certain nobles who don't like you and then trap you to end up in this place."

Sylph's eyes widened to hear him, shocked at Reus' completely untrue statement. The moment Sylph wanted to say something Reus had already disappeared from his place.

Sylph found Reus running towards the crowd of soldiers while telling the prisoners to retreat.

"Let me take care of them!"

Reus swung his sword slashing at one of the soldiers with his sword. In one swing he was able to kill those warriors using Dragon Smite, leaving the people around shocked. People who do it themselves are no less surprised.

   'It's beyond my shadow....'

Dragon Smite does only provide about 300% damage but other than because it uses Dragon Slayer Sword whose destruction power is so great, currently Reus receives an unusually terrible buff from his Dragon Special Trait Set series.

The warrior that Reus was fighting was not too low level from him, but rather around level 140s. Although Reus had levelled up thanks to the massive slaughter of Gaia's Tree some time ago, killing that leveled opponent in a single strike at his current level was no easy matter.

   "Well, who's next?"

Reus wore a confident smile looking at the crowd of soldiers in front of him who now looked hesitant to attack.

"There's no answer? Then I'll go ahead!"

After saying so Reus kicked the floor darting towards one of the leading soldiers. Dex Reus' status is high at his current level, not to mention the extra buff from the Special Trait Set his leg speed is too normal.

The soldier had not had time to react when Reus pushed the sword against his body.

   "Dragon's Fang!"

The tikaman did not end up penetrating just one person but also some people behind the soldier were also hit by the attack although not as bad as the front man. The front two died instantly, one died before overtaking the other two, while the rest were seriously injured.

That one attack managed to instill a deep fear towards Reus. If one attack alone could take three lives at a time and injure two people, how would the other attack? That was what the soldiers thought after seeing Reus' abilities.

On the other hand Reus looked at the other soldiers before him, not caring about their reaction before continuing his action.
