246. Battle of Dragon and Man VI

Reus and the mysterious assailant looked at each other's strengths but both were not so sure of their judgments.

Reus could see the figure that attacked him until it crashed wearing a certain mask that covered his lower half of the face making Reus unable to guess the level and identity of his opponent as a player or not.

In addition to his pretty striking half-face mask, the weapon his opponent used was also attractive. He attacked Reus with a giant black scythe that was larger than his own body.

The clothes worn by the masked figure also look similar to Reus' Equip Dragon Set, only in jet black like a starless night sky. It really intrigued Reus.

   "Dreaming in the middle of a fight? So relax you."

Realizing he was too immersed into his mind, Reus became alert as the sensation of an electric shock re-attacked his body.

The masked figure darted swiftly towards Reus while swinging his huge scythe. Lucky for Reus who was regenerated by the strange electric shock sensation earlier, he was able to withstand the scythe attack with both swords even though Reus was once again thrown.

In the air Reus wanted to improve his position using Psychokinesis but once again, the sensation of an electric shock assaulted him. Reus immediately activated Laplace Forecast to look a few seconds ahead.

As soon as he saw the prediction of his skill Reus instantly twisted his body in the air and put on a defensive stance at a makeshift position on the back, then a moment later he could feel a powerful strike hitting his sword.

The attack again made Reus crashed but the difference, this time Reus was thrown back towards the masked figure who was now preparing to swing his large scythe.

Reus did not think long and spontaneously deployed Psychokinesis to change his flight trajectory. Thanks to his quick reflexes Reus managed to dodge the deadly attack from the masked figure despite having to roll on the ground several meters away.

The reaction from the impact of the attack just now and Reus' sword was too strong for him to be stopped directly using Psyhcokinesis so the best decision was to change the trajectory. If Reus forced to stop the flight he could actually be injured by his actions.

   "You can also avoid this attack? It seems you're no ordinary player."

   "player? You calling me that means you're a player too?"

   "Eitherway. I heard Immortal Being call his fellows 'players' so I also wanted to call them that."

Reus raised an eyebrow hearing his opponent's ambiguous reply. Even so, Reus guessed that this opponent he was facing was a player who reasoned using the word 'Immortal Being'.

But at the moment no matter whether the opponent was a player or an NPC, Reus' situation still did not change.

The power of Ouroboros Mode might raise her status to a level beyond normal sense but if facing this person, Reus felt that all the improvements he had obtained had not been enough.

At first glance the masked figure performed quite strangely but a split second later a surge of energy from his scythe shot rapidly towards Reus.

In a depressed situation Reus could still think straight. He swung Blackstar equalizing the tempo of his slash with those energy waves, as a result of which his beloved black sword absorbed his opponent's attacks without any problems.

Although his strength was affected by Str's status and was often used by melee combatants, Energy Wave-like skills that released energy waves were counted as Magic Skills like Hollow Swords. That was the reason why Blackstar was able to devour the attack just now.

The masked figure looked surprised but did not stop the next scythe attack. He swung his scythe with two hands at his best and was successfully restrained by Reus using Balmung.

The two of them clashed with each other for quite some time before ending the defeat on Reus' side. The silvery-white-haired player once again crashed but because the horses were good enough, Reus only retreated a few steps.

   "Good technique, but are you able to withstand the same attack a second time with that position?"

Reus was a little confused at the words of the masked figure. He was about to prepare himself for the next attack but Reus had not had time to take a swing, a mysterious pressure hit Balmung and without ever expecting the sword to suddenly slip out of his grasp.

Reus' eyes widened fiercely to find a mysterious attack that he had never expected. As soon as Balmung was released, the Special Trait Set of his Dragon Equip series instantly disappeared.

Reus was still shocked by the sudden mysterious attack but the masked figure did not stop the next attack. He turned the body using one leg as a round shaft, exerting all his energy and weight on the giant scythe and intended to launch a fierce attack on the body without Reus' defense.

Unfortunately, there was one thing he did not expect from Reus.

   "Fuck up!"

Crimped by unexpected situations Reus releases full-power Psychokinesis pressure until it successfully repulses the masked figure quite far. He was wide-eyed to feel an invisible force from Reus being able to throw himself.

Instead, the masked figure that Reus was fighting appeared calm and attentive while analyzing the strange abilities he had witnessed from Reus.

   "Hmm, you have a skill that can control objects within a certain range, huh? What is Telekinesis? Psychokinesis? Or is it some kind of gravitational force?"

Reus' heart almost stopped when he heard the name of his skill mentioned among the analyses. He glared fiercely unexpectedly in the middle of an intense fight like this the masked figure could still analyze and guess his abilities.

   "What's? You think you're the only one who can think straight in the middle of a fight like this? So naive of you."

The masked figure's words made Reus alert. He had never expected that he was a special existence who could analyze the opponent's abilities and think straight in battle.
