Orbis Online
29. Dungeons Boss

Ten minutes after the battle began, Reus was finally freed from the encirclement of the Dwarves. If you were to ask why Reus took ten minutes to clear these Dwarves when there were only four people left, it was because one of them was a Dwarf Summoner.

As the name suggests, the Dwarf Summoner is an NPC enemy that has the Summoner— class one of the advanced classes of the Mage class. This class has the ability to summon beings from other dimensions as subordinates and soldiers of the class owner.

The ability of this Dwarf Summoner was very high to be able to summon level 20 mob monsters and above. Not only that, even the mob monsters summoned by this Dwarf Summoner also had various classes, some had Swordsman, Thief, Shielder, even Mage classes. This really makes Reus a hassle.

Fortunately he is with Violet who can attract attention from a distance with her Gunner class. Reus did not have to worry about Dungeon Boss—sang Minotaur—handling him directly.

Keep in mind, Gunner classes usually also have skills that can attract attention. Although not suitable as a Tanker, Gunner-class players can make the attention of the enemy centered on him and Tanker players can hold the enemy's movements, then the attackers act. Violet herself has the same type of skill, her name is Charming Kiss.

From the name alone can be guessed what this skill is like, right?

Yes, Charming Kiss is a skill that attracts the attention of opponents with the movement to make a distant kiss. Understood, right? Kissing the tip of the middle, sweet, and index finger itself and then blowing the mark of the kiss towards the target while blinking one eye.

This skill is very effective against mob monsters that have low Int— status especially on the opposite sex—but less effective on players and NPCs. This skill will be stronger if the skill owner has an extra Charm status.

Extra status itself is an additional status that is very rarely obtained by players. Charm status depends on the appearance of the player. The more beautiful or handsome the avatar is, the higher the likelihood that the player gets an extra Charm status.

Different from Respect which makes NPCs a little reluctant and respect the owner of the most Respect status, Charm status owners are usually more effective against the opposite sex. As the name suggests—Charm—means charm. If only there were players who had both Charm status as well as high Respect status, it would seem that he could stand at the top of Orbis Online.

In addition to Charm, there are many other extra statuses that can be obtained by players and NPCs. Unfortunately, many players hide their extra status as a secret weapon and a big secret.

   "Sir Reus!"

   "Yes!"

Getting a call from Violet who was slightly cornered by the Minotaur on the wall, Reus immediately ran towards her. He jumped up and gave a Swing slash whose blade was coated with a Stun Potion and Poison I on the Minotaur's back so that the bull monster's attention was shifted to Reus.

   "Graaah!!"

The Minotaur swung its two-handed axe horizontally with just one hand. One hand! His Str status was so high that it could swing a two-handed axe using only one hand!

Reus himself was surprised to see the swing of the Minotaur's axe, and so did Violet. Both of them already knew that the axe that Dungeon Boss was wearing was a two-handed axe, of course they were wide-eyed when they witnessed the rare sight.

"Str might be big, but Dex's gotta be small!"

Reus returned forward while activating the Hollow Swords, creating five semi-transparent black swords from the black smoke that shot out from his body. The Hollow Swords' swords instantly struck the Minotaur's leg without being commanded by Reus, while Reus himself jumped and gave a single stab at the nape of the neck.

The Minatour roared in pain, but Reus did not care about it. He continued to give consecutive attacks using his sword and foot within five seconds. When Reus attacked, the Minotaur was unable to move due to the stun status given by the Reus sword that had been covered by Stun Potion before launching the action.

As soon as his stun status was gone, the Minotaur immediately raised its axe and smashed it to the floor. The vibration of this attack made Reus and Violet slightly staggered off balance.

This was one of the skills the Minotaur had, Groundwave.

Not wasting any chance, the Minotaur swung its sword at Reus horizontally. Despite the chaotic balance, Reus was still able to notice and react to the Minotaur's attack. He raised his sword and grasped it with two hands to strengthen the defense.

Unfortunately the strength of the Minotaur's arm was so far beyond his expectations that Reus crashed 20 meters away, was dragged on the floor and finally hit the wall. With one indirect attack from the Minotaur, the HP Reus bar was instantly reduced to 32% from 79%. Isn't his attack power too terrifying?

"Adududu allege that the pain is not at all alleviated."

Reus took HP Potion I from Inventory and drank it to the end, as a result of his HP bar recovered to 62%. He dashed towards the Minotaur with the Hollow Swords skill he activated again. Instead of feeling cornered, Reus was even more excited than before.

While Violet fired at the Minotaur using her weakest attack, Reus took the position. Reus placed his sword on his shoulder carrying it running, then closed his eyes focusing his concentration on this Dungeon Boss.

When Reus opened his eyes, everything around him became a little slower—including his movements. He could see the apparent path of the Minotaur and Violet moving about 10% slower than it should have been. What Reus did was not skill, but adrenaline.

By imagining and visualizing yourself being cornered to such an extent that the level of life-threatening, adrenaline will increase by itself in a few moments. This is what Reus did.

(Note: author's personal experience:v)

He realized the Minotaur was still busy with Violet, this was his chance.

Without wasting any time, Reus concentrated the force on his feet and kicked the ground darting far ahead. Upon his arrival near the Minotaur, he immediately swung his sword with all his might using a Swing slashing the back of the Minotaur's knee.

The creature that was hit by Reus's slash roared full of pain. It seemed that he did not expect that Reus could still stand up and attack him. Of course, his Vit status was quite high when compared to players of the same level as him. Reus saves quite a lot of surprises, huh?

   "Commonize Flash Swing!"

Reus who did not want to waste this golden opportunity immediately jumped up while turning himself first on the ground. Soaring above the air, it spun and swung the four slashes that accompanied Swing. For additional information, the duration of the poison status on his sword was up.

The Minotaur again roared in pain, this time he immediately shook his axe back without seeing his target hit or not. Too bad, currently Reus is still in Adrenaline Mode—, just call it so—, which is able to accelerate awareness and the ability to think 10% of ordinary humans.

When falling attracted to gravity, Reus can see the trajectory of his enemy's axe attack. At a very precise time, he slashed his sword with all his might using Swing. But Reus did not intend to withstand the axe attack, he attacked the axe only to get a reaction from the slash just now.

Reus spun in the air, stomping his feet on the blade of the giant axe of the Minotaur, then kicking it— made himself jump higher. Violet who witnessed Reus' action in an instant was stunned, while the Minotaur who did not see him only targeted Violet as his target.

When it was right above the head of this Dungeon Boss, it was, Reus thrust his sword with all his might on the crown of the enemy—as well as semi-transparent black swords resulting from the use of Hollow Swords skills that stuck on the shoulders, neck, shoulder blades, shoulder blades, and two monster eyes.

Not stopping there, Reus twisted his body position depending on his sword stuck in the Minotaur crown right in front of his eyes. He then used his weight and gravitational pull to pull his sword vertically down the Minotaur's head.

Not for ten seconds, Reus managed to split the Minotaur's head in half, which instantly consumed the rest of the opponent's HP bar.

Red blood gushed from the enemy's body, dyeing the clothes and bodies of Reus and Violet. No one commented, Reus himself said nothing but 'finished' and collapsed to the floor, while Violet was still stunned by what she had just witnessed.

At the same time, players inside the Lafos cave find a semi-transparent panel with a notification that the Dungeon Boss has been defeated.
