52. Prime Battle

After a while of attracting the attention of the monster army, it finally saw a large horde of mob-leveled monsters around four or fifty coming out from the gates of Viredeta village. Looks like that's the main army from the monster side.

   "Ramsey, Kynel, let's back off after the biggest damage."

   ""okay!!""

While giving directions, Reus finished off five low-leveled Orcs in one slash using Swing. Not stopping there, Reus plunged Blackstar into the chest of one Orc and absorbed it into the sword's meal.

The reason Reus pierced and absorbed the monster's body was that he wanted Blackstar's level to increase in this fight even if it was just a little. According to a solon fight against some mob monsters that chased after him before meeting the Raid troops, Reus had just figured out a way to give his weapons some experience.

Although absorbing it took a second, at least Reus could still raise his sword level bit by bit and make it stronger without needing to forge it.

   "Reus, they're shooting some magic here."

   "Ah yes, I saw it."

From the front there were several Magic skills that led to them. Seeing this Reus immediately took the vanguard about to pick up and devour all those magic skills. Ramsey and Kynel were a little confused watching the silver-haired player.

Reus' level increased by one level when fighting the horde of 300 monsters before so he became more confident to face some of these magic skills. While Reus doesn't really want Blackstar's secrets exposed, what can he do.    "R-Reus, what skill is that? Absorbing Magic skill?"

"Maybe you could call it that."

Receiving a shocking answer from Reus, Ramsey and Kynel are shocked. As far as Orbis Online was officially released for the first time there were no skills similar to this, which was why they were both shocked as well as confused.

Reus, Kynel, and Ramsey immediately retreated once the enemy formation was destroyed and engulfed in chaos. While running small, Kynel and Ramsey looked at Reus with curious expressions considering the skill that Reus used that was able to absorb Magic skills.

Reus himself was thinking about how he could avoid the excitement and gossip on his behalf. He himself had no choice when using the Magic Devour without a second thought to devour and bounce those magic skills towards the enemy.

   "By the way Reus was, what skill was that?"

   "Consecret. I can't tell this to anyone else even to you, Ramsey."

Although actually Ramsey can be trusted by Reus in the real world, there is still the possibility that Ramsey is also targeted by some players to hunt for information about this skill. Players just go ahead to attack the monster army get permission from Reus the Raid army strategist. The Raiders focused their defense and strength on the Tanker, while the Healer and Mage would be the core forces to be protected.

The clash between two camps—the Raid team player with mob— monster teamhad a great way to shake the land.

   "Mage, put the Chant Skill on the Tanker! Make their defense increase! Healer, give Chant a Skill that can make the HP Tanker increase and do healing every 15 seconds!"

   ""Ready!!""

The Mages and such immediately deployed Chant-type skills to the front ranks of the Tankers in order to increase their defenses in order to strengthen their troops. Then the Healers also followed with the Healing— type skill one of the skill types that included Chant but slightly different— and the Chant type that increased the HP Tanker.

   "Archer, it's your turn!"

   ""Ready!!""

The medium-range archer troops instantly shot hundreds of arrows into the sky aimed at the enemy troops. Of course the number of archer troops is not so much, but many of them have Multiple Arrow skills that can multiply arrows in one attack.

As soon as the arrow troops attacked from behind, the monster army suffered a considerable miscarriage. Because the Archer class and such have a high Str and Int status as an advantage. This is one of the reasons why the Archer class is quite popular among Orbis Online players.

   "Continue with the damage area type skill! Mage!"

As soon as the Archer troops moved, the Mages continued the attack with the attacking skill that had the strongest damage area of each. Combined attacks from these two forces make enemy forces lose many lives in one attack. Because the skill being launched has a damage area and in large numbers, it is natural that the opposing team loses a lot of personnel.

   'The surprise attack is over, but.. is this as severe as the impact of a full-strength Raid attack?'

As soon as the smoke from the explosion caused by the Mage's attack skill thinned, the condition of the battlefield began to look little by little. This sight not only shocked Reus, but all the Raid troops were also stunned to see the result.
