Orbis Online
3. Character Creation

Currently, Deus was at a special table that Rezel had ordered them to talk. At first Deus was reluctant to sit down with someone as famous as Rezel Hansilva, but he eventually relented and obeyed the middle-aged man's will.

“First of all, thank you for coming here, Rudeus.”

“A-ah, it is precisely I who thank you for taking your busy time to meet me.”

“It's okay, I want to meet you in four eyes to thank you. Therefore, thank you.”

Rezel lowered her head.

“A-lift your head, Mr Rezel!”

Following the guest's will, Rezel raised her head and looked at Deus. The black-haired young man turned his gaze away because he was not strong if he had to be eye-to-eye for a long time or for a while with the person he had just met. A little while later, Rezel gave a small smile seeing the nervous Deus being in this luxurious place.

After thanking Deus for saving his daughter from the car, Rezel talked to Deus while trying to get to know the young man in front of him more deeply. The barkeeper on this floor also came to bring drinks and snacks to accompany the two chatting. Low-alcohol drinks and dainty cakes for Rezel, while a glass of soda and fries for Deus.

They chatted to each other about his life experiences while enjoying the atmosphere presented by the room on the thirteenth floor. Calming music, cool atmosphere, beautiful scenery, accompanied by dishes that are quite filling stomach, for Deus today is one of the most beautiful days.

“Ah, Mr. Rezel—”

“Call me ‘pak’ Rezel only, do not use formal language on me, Rudeus.”

“Good. Well then, Mr. Rezel, I have something to ask you.”

“Hm? Whatisit?

“Why did you send Solid Gear Ultimate Edition with a PC to me about a month ago in the hospital? Aren't those two things very expensive?”

“Oh, that's my thanks, albeit not much. In addition, I also pay for the cost of your treatment and hospitalization, just relax.”

Rezel's answer silenced Deus for a while. He does not believe, it turns out that in addition to providing a set of Solid Gear Ultimate Edition and PC at exorbitant prices, it turns out, Rezel also financed hospital fees that he certainly would not be able to pay off even though he had raised money in the next few years.

“Is it still lacking?”

“T-no sir, even that is already very more than enough for me!”

“Really? Good then.”

Deus just smiled wryly because what Rezel gave him was already far from the word ‘as a thank you’. The Solid Gear Ultimate Edition? Don't joke, even many capable people who want this device, but they did not manage to get it because the goods were used up first.

A little while later, Deus realized this simple thing and looked at Rezel who was drinking. Finished Rezel finished a glass of low-alcohol drink, Deus asked again.

“Pak, where exactly is Solid Gear Ultimate Edition that you gave me? Isn't this limited edition there are only 100 pieces in every country even including Indonesia?—

“Already expected, you will definitely ask that.”

Rezel who sounded happy to hear Deus' question also smiled faintly. His conjecture that predicts the question of Deus had prepared the answer from far away days before this time. He told Deus to come closer and he himself also approached Deus— more precisely to get close to the ear in order to whisper.

“I asked the central company in South Korea to make it one piece.”

“H-ha!?”

Suddenly Deus was surprised to hear this selfish thing asked by Rezel. He spontaneously shouted, but he immediately stuffed his mouth with his left hand. Of course Deus understood what would happen if this were widespread. Wouldn't that cause a stir?

“Why would you ask for such a thing? Is it just for me?”

“Yes, of course. As the one who saved my last daughter, I must give you something special.”

‘No no, even ordinary Solid Gear is too special for me, you rich man.’

Deus smiled wryly at the frontal answer from his interlocutor who did not hesitate to tell him so blatantly. How could this person think too highly just for a thank-you? At least that was the question Deus had in mind.

After talking about a few other things, they ended their conversation and meeting that night. Deus walks straight to his house, while Rezel meets with Hiruma to listen to the protests and give reasons why people like Deus are invited to luxury venues like the Skrimata Grand Hotel. Rezel's answer also made Hiruma look great once he heard the reason. He was really surprised by the founder of Deraft Corporation branch of Indonesia.

By the way, Deus got Rezel's contact number and vice versa in order to be able to relate to each other. This makes it easier for Deus when he wants to ask Rezel for help when he is in an emergency situation— maybe this is impossible if people like Deus— and Rezel can also know Deus more deeply. The middle-aged man was really interested in this one student.

***

While sleeping on the bed, he turned to his left and glanced at the Solid Gear Ultimate Edition Rezel as a sign of his gratitude for saving his youngest daughter. After five seconds, he screamed in excitement to the point that his body also moved to the rhythm of his screams—though he felt pain due to the fracture that has not healed perfectly.

All this time, he had never tried to turn on or put on that Solid Gear even once. Wh why? Because he still doubts whether Rezel really gave this device to himself for free. After meeting and talking with Rezel earlier, he was finally able to play the game that is currently a trend among the wider community—Orbis Online.

He takes the Solid Gear along with the device to charge it, then prepares everything he needs to enter the world of Orbis Online. After everything was ready, he put Solid Gear on his head and lay down on the bed.

“{Solid Gear On. Scanings. No account data yet. Do you want to create a new account?}”

“Oh, it turns out this is how the eye retina scan that I read from the guidebook.”

“If not wrong... [Command Voice : Yes].”

Without hesitation, Deus answered the machine voice that sounded from his ears. In a few moments, his eyes were filled with all sorts of processes that he could not read because it was too fast. After that, all of his consciousness disappeared.

“{What world do you want to enter?}”

“[Command Voice : Orbis Online].”

However, within seconds Deus realized that he was in a dark room. After five seconds, there were many race choices in front of him. There are humans, Elves, Dwarves, Trolls, Orcs, Undead, Goatmans, and more. I don't know how many, Deus doesn't want to count them all.

“{Select the race you want to play in the world of Orbis Online.}”

“Ras, yes? I don't understand what the other races are, but there seems to be some advantages as well. But instead of having to adjust the body, I better choose my race only.”

“[Command Voice : Human].”

“{Ras selected are human. Are you sure?}”

“[Command Voice : Yes].”

“{Understanding. From now on your race is human.}”

Solid Gear in Indonesia has two types of languages, namely Indonesian and English. Players can choose to use Indonesian or English as [Command Voice]—a sentence that must be said before entering the system—and [System Voice]—voice system that will notify information, notifications, and, and so on in Solid Gear.

“{Select the gender you want to play in the world of Orbis Online.}”

“[Command Voice : Male].”

Deus did not feel anything had changed on his body. Well, since the race he chose was human, he did not feel any difference. When he felt somewhat disappointed, suddenly [System Voice] sounded again in his ear.

“{Change appearance.}”

In an instant, there is a panel that can adjust the appearance of a player character in the game Orbis Online. Deus doesn't really want to change his appearance, but he seems to have to think about his privacy as well. Without changing anything else, Deus simply changed the color of his hair and eyes from the original black to silver and bright blue.

“[Command Voice : Done].”

“{Are you sure?}”

“[Command Voice : Yes].”

The panel where to set the appearance disappeared and now in front of him appeared a panel of transparent keyboard that floated. As in old-school RPG games, Deus knows what stage to do next.

“{Name on the character you want to play in Orbis Online.}”

Hearing that, Deus immediately typed the name of a character not too far from his own nickname.

“{Reus. Are you named Reus in Orbis Online world?}”

“[Command Voice : Yes.]”

“{Understanding. The character creation on Rudeus Laendra's account has been completed. Enjoy your adventure in this new world.}”

After the [System Voice] stated that, suddenly Deus' body fell down and his consciousness began to slowly disappear. In a space full of darkness, he fell at an astonishing speed, until finally his consciousness was completely lost.
