Orbis Online

Orbis Online
121. First Relic

"There are no significant problems, only malnutrition and mental fatigue."

   "Thank you, Doc."

After he finished checking his body condition, Deus put his jacket back on and prepared to leave the examination room.

"Son, are you playing Orbis Online?"

   "Yes, what's wrong with that?"

"My advice is not to spend too much of your time there, you are young and you have plenty of time. So don't get too attached to that fake world."

Deus smiled wryly at the doctor's advice, but did not respond to it other than thanking him. He then went to the drug counter to buy some nutritional supplements mentioned by the doctor earlier.

While waiting he opened his phone read other important news about Orbis Online at Orbis Forum. Most of the topics were still dominated by the news of the middle Legion's endless war between the last few weeks, but there were also those who were still discussing about the recording of him fighting the three Knights alone.

He also saw some prominent Legion chiefs try to recruit him in the comments column, then ended by a statement from the strongest soloist at this time, Zeron.

Deus was actually not very concerned about the Legion, but what interested him was the statement from Zeron. Although as a fellow soloist, he wanted to know how strong this player named Zeron was.

But the desire is certainly he pendam, it is very unnatural if a player level 100s will challenge players level 300s. Deus did not want to throw his level away just because of curiosity.

   "Rudeus Alendra."

   "Yes, it's me."

Just as his name was called, Deus immediately stepped over to the counter, receiving and paying for the nutritional supplements he received. Although in fact he does not really need nutritional supplements, the doctor who examined him forced in a positive sense.

Once his affairs inside the hospital were over, Deus left the hospital and walked on the sidewalk to his apartment.

"My finances have improved for now and my income from Orbis Online is quite impressive, maybe it's time I buy a private vehicle."

The money he made from selling various Items on the Orbis Forum was indeed huge, but Deus did not realize that he was one of the lucky players who could continue to run the business without worry.

Orbis Online has a system that is quite annoying for players, which is where the drop level of the item will be influenced by how much the difference in one's level with his opponent.

Suppose a level 10 player fought a level 100 monster and happened to win due to luck, the drop item that the player obtained could be certain to have a Legendary or Divine level Enchant.

Conversely, if a level 100 player defeated a level 100 monster anyway, then the item drop from that monster would be mediocre or even nonexistent.

So far Deus has fought many monsters far above his own level, that's why the drop item he got was always quality and never a little— beyond his Luc status which was low enough for his level.

When Deus thought about what vehicle he was comfortable wearing, his nose caught a mouth-watering scent. His stomach immediately sounded as soon as it smelled that delicious aroma.

"Oh, this is the restaurant where Haris works, huh?"

Once inside the shop, Deus immediately ordered the food and drinks he wanted from the menu, then sat down at an empty table. While waiting for his order to arrive, Deus plays his phone again looking for news about Orbis Online that he missed over the past few days.

"One of the Relics.... was found?!"

Deus spontaneously raised his voice, but not to the point of disturbing other customers. It takes a series of self-soothing pulls and exhales, then reads the news in its entirety.

A Legion called the Silver Tempest had managed to find Relic's presence in the western part of Plainfest, precisely in Avalon Kingdom. The relic was found in a Dungeon called Revelion Lair, a Dungeon ruled by giants three meters or more tall.

As far as the Silver Tempest was concerned it had entered this Dungeon several times in order to take the Relic that was in the hands of these giants, but it always ended up failing. Because of this unusual activity some nearby players were interested in trailing the Raid team and finally the information about Relic was leaked to the public.

Silver Tempest is one of the top-class Legions who are included in the ranks of the 100 strongest Legions, of course they realize they cannot hide their activities forever so their chairman, Legolas, will not be able to hide their activities, don't want to publish this. Video about Relic has also been spread, there is no way Legolas can divert the media spotlight from them.

Relic is an Item that has extraordinary abilities beyond Divine level Enchants, it is impossible for the media to not highlight this activity.

"And this news just came out about ten minutes ago."

Deus massaged his forehead in disbelief at the speed of the discussions of the players who had already reached over 10,000 comments on the news. Even though Orbis Online is an international-scale game, isn't 10,000 comments in ten minutes a terrible thing?

If the players were this active, Deus did not find it surprising that the video footage of him fighting against three Knights some time ago was known to the whole world in a matter of minutes. However, of course he could not equate his recorded video with a video about Relic.

   "The Goblet of Eternity, huh?"

According to the news and discussion that Deus read, this Relic named Goblet of Eternity has the ability that can make a person immortal if it drinks the blood of a hundred opponents gathered in the cup. At least that was the information that the Silver Tempest had so far obtained from some behemoth.

No player knows for sure what this Relic ability is, but from its name alone it is true that the Goblet of Eternity makes one immortal. It could be proved from the ability of some gigantic inhabitant of Revelion Lair who could not die.

According to the information from Legolas the leader of the Silver Tempest, every time the giant was killed he would rise again unharmed and tirelessly, then his strength did not diminish in the least. This is completely different from the resurrection system that the system provides for the players.

Many had guessed that the Goblet of Eternity's ability was to restore one's condition to prime after death, but there were also those who called it this actually brought immortality to the NPCs or mob monsters there.

There are also those who speculate that the player will not be able to use the Goblet of Eternity because basically the player is an immortal being in the world of Orbis Online, so there was no point in seizing that Relic from the giants of Revelion Lair.

According to Deus' own memories in Avora Online there has never been a Relic with abilities like the Goblet of Eternity, but he can remember some Items that give additional lives or raise players when they die, but not as powerful as the Goblet of Eternity.

"It would definitely be a war between Legions if any Legion managed to obtain it."

Deus sighed thinking about the future capture of the Relic. He thinks it's good to aim for Bailendra Kingdom, north of Plainfest, not west.

'I've felt the war three times as far as playing Orbis Online, so I don't plan on adding that number anymore.'

The first war was in the village of Viredeta, the second against more than a thousand Snow Trolls and Yetis in the Horen Tunnel, and the last against Ash in the city of Huroud. Those three wars completely drained his mental strength, so he didn't want to get involved in any more war—at least in the near future.

When his mind dissolved thinking about the future of Orbis Online, the food of his order had already come brought by a servant. His ordered food was so appetizing that Deus threw away the various thoughts weighing on him for a while.
