202. Sword Full Control Arts: Balmung

The Black Sky Sword Art Series is one of two Randolf Wallenstein Skill Series aimed at sword users. This Skill Series was combined from two Skill Series that each had opposite elements, the Black Abyss Sword Art Series and the Divine Sky Sword Art Series.

Usually such a thing as uniting two completely opposite techniques was impossible, but for a swordsman nicknamed The Sword Lord, it was not impossible.

Thanks to his success of uniting two conflicting techniques, Randolf was known as the Sword Lord and stood at the top of the sword wielders of the past with these two deadly sword techniques.

Now Randolf bequeathed one of these techniques to Reus, making the young man more reliable in playing his sword.

It was true that it had not been too long since Reus had received the Black Sky Sword Art Series from Randolf, but thanks to the various battles he had been in all this time, Reus managed to increase his mastery of the Black Sky Sword Art Series to the point of touching level 1-5 in a short period of time and opened up the second form of this technique.

All of that he could only do thanks to one of Randolf's bestowal skills, Sword Body which increased the mastery speed of all sword-related skills by 100%.

"Black Sky Sword Art Series: Second Form – Sunless Sky!"

The long black blade that enveloped Balmung moved following the swing direction Reus' arm hit the gigantic body of the Four-Headed Dragon King Statue. It was not until it split the giant stone body, but at least managed to cause no small amount of damage.

The HP parameters of the statue with four dragon heads shrank quite a lot compared to the previous Reus attacks, even almost reducing one-fifth of its HP from the total in one attack.

The Four-Headed Dragon King Statue looked surprised at the last slash Reus gave, but Reus had yet to complete the second technique of the Black Sky Sword Art Series.

"Hey, I still haven't finished attacking! Accept this!"

While exclaiming so, Reus pulled Blackstar whose blade was now enveloped by an increasingly elongated black smoke like Balmung. He then mindlessly swung the black sword in his hand smashing into the gigantic statue.

Shocks and sounds of rumbling once again spread throughout the Dungeon making all the creatures that were inside scurry to save themselves as if this Dungeon could collapse at any moment.

Reus' last pair of attacks had indeed managed to reduce the Four-Headed Dragon King Statue's HP more than he had anticipated, but at the same time all the Energy he had recovered was instantly depleted with just one such technique.

"Series Skill is indeed powerful, but the amount of Energy required is also no joke."

Reus smiled wryly as knowing his Energy parameters showed he could only exert twice the Swing before actually touching the zero. He released Psychokinesis and landed safely on the floor.

The Black Sky Sword Art Series (1-5)

Black Sky Sword Art Series is a Skill Series created by Randolf Wallenstein of the dark swordsmanship, Black Abyss Sword Art Series, and the light swordsmanship, Divine Sky Sword Art Series.

This Skill Series was more inclined towards the darkness swordsmanship so that each of its attacks contained Dark elements.

Reus wanted to continue the attack, yet what could he be without Energy? Before his opponent started to move and attack himself again, Reus once again consumed his best Energy Potion.

It was quite unfortunate to use two of the best Energy Potions in close proximity, but it was better than dying.

After his Energy parameters were recharged—although not until full—Reus deployed Psychokinesis and slid forward intending to launch another attack, but before that a special flash of light was captured by his eyes.

Reus quickly jumped up from where he was standing dodging the laser attack of the gigantic Dungeon Boss. Sure enough, there was a large crater at the site of its foundation thanks to the Four-Headed Dragon King Statue laser.

"Although it has been strengthened with Dragon Incarnation and Dragonman Form, if it is hit once I can immediately finish."

Reus let out a dry laugh looking at the large crater he had been standing in before, he could then feel a number of other laser attacks darting towards him quickly. Reus clucked softly before swinging Blackstar and Balmung simultaneously brushed off all the lasers.

"Damn it, Blackstar who won't be able to survive if this continues!"

Reus cursed to see the condition of Blackstar which is now quite dangerous.

Blackstar's ability to absorb magic is very useful when facing magic attacks from witches or the like, but in this kind of situation the Magic Devour was unreliable as the Blackstar Durability figure was drained faster than devouring the magic itself.

Reus then checks Dur's status on Balmung, fearing that the sword's condition is no better than Blackstar's because he continues to use it to attack, luckily Dur Balmung status is still able to survive until at least the next half hour.

Reus quietly sighed in relief knowing Balmung's Durability was still at the safe number, but that was not the case for Blackstar.

"I want to fix it with the Golden Emergency Hammer, but...."

He glanced at the Four-Headed Dragon King Statue which was already ready to launch another laser attack.

   "There's no time for that!"

As soon as the typical flash of laser light shone, Reus immediately darted away from everything. Different from before, this time not one or two but the four dragon heads on the stone statue shot out laser light together making Reus have to focus evasive.

He even deployed Laplace Forecast and Adrenaline Mode at once to be able to avoid everything. Thanks to that Energy Reus was drained faster than ever because it had to exert Psychokinesis and Laplace Forecast at one time, not to mention occasionally floating Swing and Energy Wave to attack from a distance.

At first glance Reus did look calm, but in Reus' mind began to be depressed. In addition to being urged to continue to avoid and drain Energy, Reus also estimated that the Dragon Incarnation deadline was only a short time away.

It was true that even though the effects of Dragon Incarnation had been exhausted, there was still the Dragonman Form that raised its entire status by 500%, but the problem was that even the status increase was around 800% unable to subvert this Four-Headed Dragon King Statue, what could be done with 500%?

Reus clenched his teeth for a moment and made a decision that could be considered reckless.

"I don't know what the side effects are, but at a time like this I can't be picky."

Reus then tightened his grip on Blackstar and absorbed the Energy from the magic he had gathered, then focused his mind towards Balmung.

   "Sword Full Control Arts: Balmung!"

After activating one of the skills that Reus managed to get from training for two months in the world of Orbis Online, the, balmung's blade trembled and gave off a reddish-blue aura that made Reus's hair goosebumps and at the same time, the Four-Headed Dragon King Statue that had been attacking all of a sudden fell silent.

Reus could feel the intense vibrations and power flowing towards his arm from Balmung, but different from when he used Blackstar Full Control on Blackstar, Balmung did not attempt to move himself or try to take over his body.

A small smile rose on Reus' lips before glancing at the Four-Headed Dragon King Statue who was now looking doubtfully attacking Reus.

"Now I'm going to return everything at once!"
