2. The Unexpected Reunion

After about two months languishing in the hospital, Deus was finally able to get out of the hell of his boredom. Wonderful? Yes, according to the doctor he should rest longer in the hospital. With a heavy heart, Deus agreed to it even though he protested several times. He has been behind a month in terms of lessons, in addition to another month of course he filed a protest.

Again, having been absent for more than a month he had to take special classes at different hours than his usual class. In addition, the special class takes approximately six hours every day. Like returning to being an Junior High. Not added to the cost of treatment at his hospital, it looks like he will be burdened with many thoughts in the future.

He sighed when he thought about all of those problems. Although he belongs to the class of intelligent humans, good luck may not always accompany him. If a person has never been hit by any bad luck in his life, it may be said that the person is a god drop. At least according to Deus.

“I-this is the place? Isn't this place too fancy for poor students like me?”

Now he is in front of a tall and luxurious skyscraper called ‘Grand Hotel Skrimata’. This place is a luxury building that is often used by wealthy businessmen to gather to hold parties, meetings, discussions, or overnight. It is the most luxurious hotel in the city occupied by Deus. The cost per night even reaches 16,000,000 rupiah!

Nervously, Deus stepped into this luxurious hotel and rushed towards the elevator as he did not want his appearance to be the center of attention of the people around. As always, a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and a pair of red sneakers— of course with the right arm still in the gisp. Because of his accident at that time, his favorite black sleeve hoodie red jacket was so badly damaged that it could not be repaired.

After about five minutes in the elevator, he reached the 13th floor. Although the time should be relatively shorter, there are many people who go in and out of the elevator so that the road is slightly obstructed.

He looked back and forth to find someone who would meet him in this place. However, what he got was not the person he was looking for, but someone he hated. The bright red-haired man with the same colored eyes as his hair in a luxurious formal black suit who had been standing chatting with a married couple, now walked up to Deus.

“Hey hey hey, what are you doing in this place, Rudeus Laendra?”

‘Hiruma Tokoyasu!’

Looking at this handsome, bastard-looking male enemy in front of him, he hid his expression as well as all his anger in his heart. He put a fake smile on his face while trying to remain calm in self-control. In addition to being the attention of people around, he could cause a fight here. He also did not benefit— in terms of position or physical.

“What if I was here, Hiruma?”

“No, I'm just surprised to see a poor boy like you there can be a luxury place like the Grand Hotel Skrimata.”

Knowing his current position was extremely disadvantageous, he simply swallowed all the words from Hiruma. Deus clenched his left hand trying to hold back the anger with all his might. Although he should not be angry here, it is still impossible for him to forget Hiruma's past actions.

“Honey, come here, there is the poor here.”

“Really? Ah yes, it is true. Long time no see, yes, Rudeus.”

The one who had just come was a beautiful girl with charming blonde brunettes, beautiful dark blue eyes, clad in a graceful white dress, who was, accompanied by some expensive jewelry on his neck and wrists made almost all the men on this floor turn their eyes to the girl.

“L-long time no see, Rea.”

Deus forced his smile along with his anger so that his face looked a little muddled now. That girl is Reana Flaregarde. All three—Deus, Hiruma, and Rea— were classmates when the 11th grade was in High School.

Looking at Rea's smile that was not at all overwhelmed with any guilt, the condescending expression from Hiruma, and Rea's hand that was coiled around Hiruma's left arm, Deus' anger was mounting. However, he handled it with a series of large pulls and exhales from his nose.

His expression became flat and looked unconcerned with the two of them before him.

“Then, what do you need to come to me? Don't tell me you guys want to show off your intimacy.”

“Wah, as expected of the ‘ brightest’ people in our SMA first, you can answer anything yes, Deus.”

“Hah?”

“Hey, don't ignore me, Rudeus Laendra!”

With a shout that was loud enough, Hiruma managed to grab the attention of all the residents of the 13th floor. Of course Deus's steps stopped as soon as his name was shouted by the man he hated, then looked back at the caller. He was also aware that he was being the center of attention of everyone on this floor.

“Are you not ashamed to wear such clothes in this building!? With hands like that!? You must have been a delinquent who fought in the streets a lot, right!? How disgusting you are, Rudeus Laendra! How dare you set foot in this place!”

‘Sorry, not my dirty feet but my shoes. Then, your shoes are just as dirty.’

The shout from Hiruma gave Deus even more attention. This time almost everyone talks about Deus with a voice as slow as possible do not want to sound—padah already heard clearly. Deus who felt humiliated just let out a small sigh while closing his eyes. Actually he did not want to make trouble in this place of prestige, but what can be done, he also could not stand still when his pride was trampled by this man.

On the other hand, Rea only laughed lightly at Deus who was being insulted by Hiruma. Not wanting to be seen as too vulgar, he closed his lips using his right hand That was how the high class women laughed.

“Rudeus?! Who said Rudeus Laendra?!”

In the midst of the commotion Hiruma made, there was a heavy voice of a man from the left of Deus. All of them who were there quickly turned their attention to the voice. There was a middle-aged man with black hair— some white hair— wearing a fancy black suit, just like Hiruma. The difference is that the man has a famous branded watch whose price is also fantastic—for Deus of course.

“Ah, Mr. Rezel.”

“Master Rezel.”

“Why is Mr Rezel here?”

‘This man... Rezel Hansilva?’

When the entire floor suddenly broke out with the arrival of this middle-aged man named Rezel Hansilva, Deus seemed a little confused to see the form of the person who sent him a package of Solid Gear and PC equipment while in the hospital. He thought this guy named Rezel was young. But reality is far from his shadow.

Rezel walked closer to Deus and Hiruma who were in a row—though just a one-sided insult. For a moment, his eyes were fixed on Hiruma, but his gaze was immediately sidetracked to the black-haired youth whose right hand was still wrapped in a cast, hanging on the neck cloth.

“Tuan Rezel, man in—”

“Oh, whose name is Rudeus Laendra?”

“Y-yes, it's me.”

In an instant, the atmosphere on the floor changed drastically. From the original cornered a Deus, it became a confusion against Rezel who greeted him with a formal call. This of course made the whole floor surprised—including Hiruma and Rea whose eyes were wide.

After a little chat to ascertain if Deus was really Rudeus Laendra who saved his daughter, Rezel finally turned around and cleared his throat hard enough to make the atmosphere of the floor quiet.

“Nak Hiruma, I don't know what's going on between you, but Rudeus is my guest. I was the one who invited him here. If you mind, tell me the protest later. I want to talk to Rudeus first, then I will listen to all your protest forms. Can?”

“E-eh? Y-yes, t-of course s-s-only.”

In the one-way conversation sentence, Hiruma's tongue was silenced and could not say another word to demean Deus. On the other hand, Rezel walked back to her seat by the window which could see the view of the city at the height—of course Deus followed her from behind.
