Orbis Online

Orbis Online
19. Stone Golems? No Problem!

After successfully overcoming various small fruit-shaped monsters in the forest of Mauren, Reus rested his body in a shade tree to recover his HP lost by the fight. While resting, he made several tens of bottles of HP Potion I. Don't get me wrong, this time he wanted to keep it to himself, not to sell.

Up to the 50th bottle, he could hear [System Voice] and a small transparent panel appeared before him.

   “{Congratulations, Alchemy skill level rise.}”

---

Alchemy (Levels 1-2)

Can process certain plants into HP Potion I, Energy Potion I, Poison I, Stun Potion, Antidote, Stimulant

---

Reus' mouth opened wide as soon as he saw his Alchemy skill level rise. Of course, all this time he produced so many Potions that it was no wonder that his skill level had also increased. In Orbis Online almost every active and passive skill has a level that can be increased through its use in large quantities. In short it is like practice and experience.

Although his skill level rose, he was not so happy because he still could not make other Potions because of his Material. He still has Goblin’s Eyeball, but he knows that one ingredient alone will not be able to make Poison I the way he wants. Different from HP Potion I which is the lowest level Potion, Poison I is slightly higher and expensive if sold.

He opened and surfed the internet looking for whatever Materials he needed to make Poison I, Stun Potion, Antidote, and Stimulant. He only sighed because he did not have a single ingredient that could transform into four new Potions—except Goblin’s Eyeball.

“Oh yes, instead I can buy the Material from Orbis Forum?”

With the idea he suddenly thought of, Reus opened the Orbis Forum on the sale and immediately looked for the Material in question. In an instant, he bought so many of these low-value yet high-efficiency Materials using half his money. Surprisingly, he was so surprised at one thing.

“Why are Materials like this sold at low prices even though it will be very profitable if used as various Potions?”

All the Materials he bought from Orbis Online to make Poison I and others are very cheap, even Spider’s Poison I sold five Byl per bottle. Spider’s Poison I can actually be used directly as a poison with the same effect as a bottle of Poison I, but its duration is only five seconds. Of course this is not efficient in hunting mob monsters.

It seemed like Reus was unaware that players or NPCs who possessed Alchemy skills were extremely rare because of special production classes such as Alchemist, Tailor, and others, Blacksmith and a few others were so unusable in combat that many avoided it. Although the Alchemy skill can be obtained from the Emblem Skill, this item is also very expensive and rare—moreover the Emblem Skill contains Alchemy skill.

There are dozens of—no, hundreds of skills in the world of Orbis Online that automatically Skill Emblem containing Alchemy also looks impossible to get.

In Reus' case, it was different. Reus won Alchemy not from Skill Emblem, but a prize from a title that no player has ever won since Orbis Online was launched. This was a natural thing, indeed who would be willing to gather 300 Herb Leafs endlessly once the number of Quest Items in question was met?

Obtaining those Materials, Reus immediately processed them into new Potions that he could create from a new level of Alchemy.

In an instant, 20 bottles of Energy Potion I, 7 bottles of Poison I, 4 bottles of Antidote, 5 bottles of Stun Potion, and 2 bottles of Stimulant in front of him. All of this he created less than a minute course—because the process of making Potions does only require a blink of an eye. He nodded quite satisfied to see the results of his work.

---

Energy Potion I

---

Poison I

20 Damages per second for 30 seconds

---

Antidotes

---

The Stun Potion

Gives stun status for 5 seconds to each player who is attacked once

---

Stimulants

---

Reus trembled violently seeing the use of such a terrifying Stun Potion. Although it was not so effective to fight against a horde or a group of players because every time he used Stun Potion on the rest of the players the effect would be instantly lost on his weapon, This potion is very useful in dealing with hordes of mob monsters in large numbers because he can freeze all mob monsters for 5 seconds before 10 seconds passed since pouring Stun Potion on his sword.

Then, he decided to make more Stun Potions using all the Materials he had. Because of so much Material he had purchased from the Orbis Forum, Reus could make over a hundred bottles of Stun Potion in an instant. He smiled widely at the results of his hard work—though not really working hard.

When he was having fun with his Alchemy skill, suddenly the ground he was treading shook quite violently. Sensing the danger seemed to be approaching, Reus rose to his feet after putting all his items into the Inventory and pulled the sword from his back on standby. Well, if it's about detecting the danger of Reus expert.

After a two-minute wait while maintaining vigilance, Reus was finally able to see a figure that made the ground shake. A two-and-a-half-meter tall figure with a large body, one eye is red, the surface of the skin is uneven, has a pair of hands and feet, and raises vibrations every time you step.

   “Stone Golem?”

Reus frowned and narrowed his eyes accompanied by a hint of fear. The creature before him was a Stone Golem, one of the many types of mob monsters inside Orbis Online. Their bodies were made of 3 tons of hard stone so their attack power and defense were very high, but their speed was really slow.

What scared Reus was that his sword technique was useless against the Stone Golem. Creatures with defense and weight as high as this is a natural enemy of Swordsman class and class players who use reliable weapons of sharpness.

Indeed, the class of a person does not determine whether he can use other weapons other than his class, he can not determine whether he uses other weapons, but all Reus has right now is Iron Sword +4 and Rare Ironforge Sword which is certainly not effective against this mob monster. If he had a mace, hammer, or other blunt weapon, perhaps he would not be too afraid.

“Then this is how the best option I have is just to run away, huh?”

Reus smiled wryly knowing he could not fight this creature now. But before he stepped out to escape from where he was standing, a pretty crazy idea came to his mind. He sheathed his sword and took out a bottle of Stun Potion from the Inventory.

He took eight steps back to make sure the Stone Golem would not be able to reach him within the next ten seconds if his conjecture was wrong. After confirming the distance was enough, Reus poured the yellow liquid from the bottle into his right glove. As soon as Stun Potion was poured, her gloves let out a dimly-lit yellow light.

   “Good!!”

Realizing his conjecture was correct, Reus immediately shot as fast as he could towards the Stone Golem and floated a punch using his right hand as hard as possible. A clashing sound rang out in his ears and his HP was reduced by 1%. Even so, Reus smiled happily.

The movement of the Stone Golem stopped completely and its body was enveloped in a yellow electric spark. Not wanting to waste this golden opportunity, Reus took the Iron Sword +4 and jumped up high, then gave one stab to the red eyes of the Stone Golem as hard as possible to penetrate at the back side of his head.

It's praak!

There was a cracking sound coming from the Golem's eyes. Reus immediately pulled out his sword and immediately jumped away because the status of the Vit Stone Golem was very high. Vit Rook Turtle's status was lost away from this Stone Golem.

But strangely when Reus stepped on the ground, the Stone Golem fell helplessly which was two seconds later broken into thousands of pixels. Looking at the defeated Stone Golem in a single stab from his beloved sword, Reus' eyes widened.

   “Eh?”
