Lavore Kingdom Palace is currently filled with various noise, mostly caused by the sound of broken glass and items destroyed by hammers or other inanimate objects.
"Destroy everything without exception! I don't want my country to be ruled by an altar of darkness like this!"
After exclaiming so, the old man on his throne turned over a wooden table on which there were various statues and objects commonly used to worship something.
The people in the same room could only be speechless seeing their king so angry at the altar, he flipped over and smashed everything with the staff he held in hand.
It took some time for Aulcrat to calm down after venting his anger. He sat back on his throne with a sigh and shook his head, feeling so disappointed.
No one in the room dared to raise Aulcrat's comforting voice or just ask him to calm down, they were afraid that Aulcrat would misunderstand their good intentions.
It was no secret that after returning from the battle a few days ago, Aulcrat who was already feeling healthier gave his first command, which was to destroy all the altars of darkness that were circulating throughout his country.
At first it puzzled his followers because about five years ago Aulcrat was the one who introduced the altar and the manner of worship but instead returned from the battle, Aulcrat ordered to destroy everything.
In response to all the complaints and protests of his citizens, Aulcrat announced that for the past five years his body had been taken over by a creature of darkness named Lucius Maen'ra.
The statement shocked the whole country. There are some who believe in the words of Aulcrat, some who ignore the statement and return to worship the altar of darkness called Aulcrat.
Aulcrat is aware that his statement can spark a rebellion from his citizens who have been brainwashed by the altar of darkness but as a king, he also needs to take responsibility for his mistakes.
"My king, has it been true that for the past five years you have been controlled by a creature of darkness?"
"You doubt my words, Verys?"
"I don't want to doubt it but my heart can't lie."
The person called Verys lowered his head for a moment not wanting Aulcrat to misunderstand. Aulcrat himself could see the feeling of misfortune in Verys, he sighed for a moment before rising up from his throne.
Aulcrat's actions shocked the people present, causing them to kneel one foot on the floor of the room including Verys.
"I don't expect you to believe but I'm telling you the truth. I don't know how this dark creature named Lucius Maen'ra possessed me but that person, the Immortal Being who was once a crisis of this land, he was the one who saved me."
Aulcrat then recounted the experience of five years of being locked up in the dark without being able to do anything about it. He could see, hear, or feel everything that was going on around but Aulcrat could not control his body.
He also explained that Lucius Maen'ra intended to control the Lavore Kingdom under his control, gather strength, and then bring the power of this country to the battlefield when the Order of Chaos appeared in public.
"So this Lucius Maen'ra figure is intent on brainwashing our citizens with the altar of darkness, my King?"
"Not only are we citizens, Verys, but we are also part of his grand plan."
The words of Aulcrat successfully made the people present there cause various kinds of reactions. Some were unbelieving, many were skeptical, some were afraid, while others discussed the truth of the king's words.
Aulcrat could see the reaction of his followers, he felt that their reaction was indeed natural considering that Aulcrat's attitude had suddenly changed since returning from the battle against Reus. Not a few who think Aulcrat has been brainwashed by Reus.
"Ah, so it seems. They wanted to make this country their army, not surprisingly."
A foreign voice echoed in the room, shocking everyone present at the place. Some guards immediately raised their weapons and turned to the source of the sound coming from the window of the room.
On the window was a man dressed in a perfunctory style with a half-face mask covering part of his face and a wide hat, he was sitting casually at the window.
The guards immediately approached the man while brandishing a weapon.
"Who are you?! Do you want to sneak in here?!"
The man remained calm despite being surrounded by several guards at once, instead he let out a small laugh making the guards confused and upset at the same time. As they were about to shake the man, Aulcrat's cry stopped them.
"Stop getting there, guard! Get your guns out of that guy!"
"But, my King!"
"Listen to my command or your lives will be lost!"
The guards gulped at Aulcrat's threat, they pulled their guns, they didn't want to lose their lives.
"Good, looks like you guys learned quite a lot from the previous incident."
The man's words made the people present at the place frown, they could slightly guess who this man was.
The man looked at the entire room for a moment before stepping inside. Aulcrat who hurriedly approached him strengthened the conjecture of the nobles in that place.
"Are you Mr. Reus' emissary?"
"True, I brought a message from him that was specially addressed to you, King Lavore Kingdom."
The conversation between the two again invited the forehead wrinkles of the audience, but this time with a different intent. They thought that the foreign man was Reus who was said to have saved Aulcrat and massacred the Lavore Kingdom's forces but it turned out that none of their guesses were correct.
"I'm not going to talk, so get to the point. Reus says if you want to clear up the misunderstanding between yourself and Sylph de Corvette, you better invite her here. He can help you in that."
"Mr Reus wants to help me?"
"really. Given that the Order of Chaos has moved further than expected, we need every strength that exists. Sylph is one of our greatest strengths in the face of the Order of Chaos, the sooner we resolve this matter the sooner we can prepare."
The man's words were positively responded to by Aulcrat, he immediately requested a formal invitation letter to some of his servants. He gave the letter to the man.
"Show this letter to the palace guards then you can enter freely."
"If we keep intercepted?"
"Just make it clear who intercepts you, I'll take it. If possible don't kill them."
Aulcrat's statement now invites various pairs of eyes in this place glared wide. No one thought that Aulcrat would be so, the ruler of an alliance with Lavore Kingdom even though he could not let him beat the palace guards.
This shows how Aulcrat so appreciates the rescue that Reus made against him.
The figure of the man received Aulcrat's letter and smiled faintly before stepping out to the window.
"Okay, I'll tell him. Thank you for listening to me, King Aulcrat."
After saying so the figure jumped from the window, started running over the building and jumped from the roof to the roof of the house until it disappeared from view.
Aulcrat sighed after the figure disappeared from their sight, he then turned his gaze to the group of people present in the room.
"Somebody still can't believe what I'm telling you?"
No one dared to refute or answer Aulcrat's question, they lowered their heads in silence. Now they believe all that Aulcrat experienced and the explanation of Aulcrat being possessed by a creature of darkness is true.
