Orbis Online

Orbis Online
122. Cheap Expensive Gifts

After taking a few days off and finishing his final assignment as a student, Deus finally returns to diving into Orbis Online as Reus. He woke up in the same room when he logged out earlier.

"Yo Reus, are you done with your rest?"

   "Yes that's it. You alone?"

   "As you can see."

As soon as he returns to Orbis Online, Reus is greeted by Ikshan who is training to adjust to his new weapon, the Silver Scythe.

"Ikshan, what's that chain at the end of your scythe?"

"Oh, this? I modified it, so this weapon is no longer the Silver Scythe, but the Giant Silver Kusarigama!"

While calling out that Ikshan raised his new scythe laughing loudly, but there was happiness on his face. Although a little astonished, Reus understood that Ikshan modified it because of the Another Blacksmith title he had.

A few days before logging out, the two had talked about their unique abilities that are difficult to obtain by most players.

Ikshan recounts that the Smithing skill he gained from the Another Blacksmith title allowed him to create and improve Equip without requiring much time or effort.

Each time he hit a special hammer to forge on Equip, the status of Equip Durability will increase by at least 5% to 10% using a low-quality hammer, depending on the status of his Luc.

To make Equip itself usually Ikshan only need to hit the hammer several times on the Materials available, then the Material merges instantly and forms the Equip he wants.

At first Ikshan considered this natural among the owners of other Blacksmith production classes, but when he saw the process of repairing and manufacturing Equip by other Blacksmith players, the process was very different from him.

Players and other NPCs who have the Blacksmith class must forge Equip properly as if making weapons or armor in the real world. This left Ikshan wondering and puzzled, but he later concluded that the ability to repair and forge Equip instantly was a privilege of the Another Blacksmith title he had.

This also applies to Reus' Alchemy skill which can make Potions in an instant without having to bother pounding and mixing Material into a cauldron or something like that.

Initially Reus did not immediately believe Ikshan's words, but he watched a video of a classy Alchemist player making Potions in a short time. At least to make one cauldron full of Potions required about an hour or so, and even then only filled fifty Potion bottles at most.

While Reus? He could even make a hundred or a thousand bottles of Potions in just a matter of minutes if the Materials were sufficient. The video really proved that the Another Alchemist was indeed different from the other Alchemists.

After getting up from his bed Reus did a muscle stretch for a while before the move. It was true that his avatar would not suffer a muscle injury like cramping or so on, but this had become his habit.

"Reus, are you going to Rockfall soon?"

"No, I'm not in a hurry. I want to enjoy my journey in this world. In my area there are very rare green landscapes like this world."

   "Hahaha, I agree."

The two immediately stepped out of the room after Reus completed his muscle stretch to meet Horb who he said was in the council room, discussing with the elders regarding the improvement of the city.

"I'm sorry, they said not to be disturbed until the meeting is over."

"Alright, then we'll take a walk in the city for a bit."

"Well, I'll tell Mr. Horb when the meeting's over."

Reus and Ikshan went to the city to see how badly the damage was done to Huroud while waiting for Horb to finish his discussion with the elders.

In the city they see the Snow Trolls and Yeti working together to repair damaged buildings. Some of them greeted the two with smiles and a wave of hands, it made them confused.

"Why has their attitude changed so much towards us?"

"Are you having amnesia or something? We saved their town, you know? It is only natural that we are treated as heroes by them."

   "Oh, right too, yeah."

Reus smiled wryly at her, not expecting himself to be treated like this. Though he was the one who had slaughtered hundreds of Snow Trolls and Yeti, wouldn't it be natural that he and Ikshan would be seen as enemies or at least hated?

Quite the contrary, both are actually liked and adored as heroes of the Hroud just because of the problems caused by Ash. But, Reus didn't think it would be their enemy or anything like that.

'I think building relationships with some people in some places is good.'

Although initially Reus played Orbis Online as entertainment, he felt Orbis Online was already a source of income and a second life for him. Well, even so Reus would not think that this world is the world to take precedence.

He remembered there were some players who were too obsessed and prioritized life in Orbis Online rather than the real world so that his body was damaged or his real-world job career was destroyed. Fortunately some of those players managed to become professional players, so the economic problems were not a barrier for them.

Reus does plan to earn from Orbis Online, but not to the extent that they ignore the real world.

"By the way Reus, I got this from the battle against Ash's army, but I can't use it."

Ikhan took out something from his Inventory, then handed it to Reus making the silver-haired player thicken.

"That's right, but I can't learn it because it doesn't suit me."

"So, you gave it to me?"

"Well, I think you can do something, so don't hesitate and take it!"

While saying that Ikshan laughed loudly while patting the back of Reus who was still wide in disbelief. Reus tried to close his shock, then immediately put on the Emblem Skill.

"{Congratulations, you get the Dual Wielding.} skill"

---

The Dual Wielding (1-1)

The user can use two or more weapons as long as they can use them. When Dual Wielding is enabled Str +2%, Dex +5%, and Vit -5%.

Str +10, Dex +15, Respect +100

---

Reus smiled broadly as soon as he managed to get one of the skills he wanted so much from the beginning of playing. Despite a 5% penalty on Vit status, Reus did not care about it given his fighting style more often evaded than received an attack.

"Hows it? Isn't that a good skill for you?"

"Yes, of course. But, isn't this such a rare skill?"

"Not to think about it, just think of it as a gift for having accompanied me here. After all, I also got a Phantom Reaper class without losing a level, it would be unfair if you even got a Quest without a definite reward."

During his time with Reus, Ikshan often noticed that this fellow would be more vicious and dangerous when holding two swords in both hands. It is true that he was not with Reus for long, but Ikshan was able to see the difference in Reus' movements and techniques when using one and two swords.

In his view, if Reus used one sword he looked like a calm lion in a fight, but when his left hand grasped the Hollow Swords or Dragon Slayer Sword, Reus turned extremely aggressive.

"Alright, but at least let me pay you a little."

Reus then handed over ten gold coins worth 100,000 Byl to Ikshan. His heart is not comfortable if you get skills as good and this collar for free. Although impressed very much from the financial side of Reus, the selling price of Dual Wielding is at least twenty times more expensive at the Orbis Forum.

"I don't mind giving it to you, but I'll take it if you're so pushy."

Ikshan received Reus's money airily, although there was a slight sense of heaviness. He understood Reus' unwell feelings.

The two chuckled before continuing their activities around their city.
