224. Ruckus in the Inn

Once on the lower floor Reus and Ikshan find Ibane arguing with a Dragonewt who behind him there are a number of Lizardmen soldiers equipped with various Equip like soldiers.

"I told you I'm a Draconian! I'm not a human, let alone a spy from the Menschrein Kingdom!"

"You can say it all on the interrogation table! Now come with us!"

When the Dragonewt raised his finger pointing to the Lizardmen's Ipane at the back immediately came forward and intended to take Ibane by force, but before they managed to take four steps a sword hit the floor, grabbing their attention.

Dragonewt who seemed to be their leader turned his gaze towards Reus and Ikshan who had just arrived at the location, then at the same time both gave displeased gazes at them. This resulted in the atmosphere of the inn becoming more gripping.

   "Human? In Dragnar?"

"Oh, can you directly judge us humans, but not our Draconian friends?"

Reus gave a small grin in response to the words of the Dragonewt, while the Lizardmen-like figure but equipped with wings on his back narrowed his eyes in offense.

Dragonewt had no intention of throwing his voice at Reus, he swung his arm while giving orders.

"They must be spies from the Menschrein Kingdom! Catch 'em!"

The Lizardmen immediately executed the Dragonewt's command without hesitation. They ignore Ibane who is currently panicking over the unexpected arrival of Reus and Ikshan, unsheathing the weapons and intending to forcibly bring the two humans.

Reus frowned seeing the attitude of this warrior feeling himself as completely unappreciated even as a living being. He did understand a little how much the hatred of the people of Bailendra Kingdom towards humans, but he did not expect that the military was not much different.

"Ikshan, just leave this to me."

Ikshan agrees to Reus' request but remains on standby with Silver Kusarigama in his hands.

On the other hand Reus took a deep breath before raising his voice.

"Okay, you're asking. Don't blame me if some of you get hurt or killed."

Reus did nothing but slightly raise his chin and the Lizardmen soldiers and Dragonewt slammed out of the inn, shocking the rest of the servants and guards of the inn, no exception Ibane who glared great watching the occult incident.

The crashed Lizardmen army immediately rose from its fallen position with a confused expression, including the Dragonewt leader. They don't understand what Reus did to them.

   "What was that? Magic?"

"No, I don't see spells or anything like that. That's not magic."

The Lizardmen were aghast at what strength Reus used, but they did not immediately retreat. They got up and brandished the weapons preparing for the worst possibility, followed by the Dragonewt Chief pulling the sword at his waist along with an exclamation.

"Humans dare to fight Dragonewt and the Lizardmen in this Dragon Country? Looks like you're indeed a spy from the Menschrein Kingdom."

Reus laughed cynically in response to the words of the Chief Dragonewt.

"Ah, so it seems. You're just looking for a human who can be accused of being a spy."

The head of the Dragonewt frowned feeling displeased towards the direction Reus said, he then unsheathed his sword to Reus.

"Don't distort the facts, bastard man. If it wasn't for spying then what were you doing in this country?"

Reus actually wants to answer is running a certain mission, but in a place like this mention the word 'mission' alone can immediately be accused of being a spy.

When his wits had run out of excuses, Ibane came and pulled Reus' shoulders from behind.

"Hey, don't play that attack right away. What if they really think of you as an enemy and make you a fugitive all over the country?"

"Just calm down, I don't intend to go that far."

Reus then turned his gaze towards the Lizardmen army while grinning.

"I just want to know if the soldiers and officials of this country are so hateful towards humans that they accuse all humans in this country of being Meinschrein Kingdom spies indiscriminately."

   "So your words, uncivilized trash!"

The Dragonewt Chief was consumed with emotion by Reus' words, he then stepped forward intending to split Reus into dozens of pieces but before that happened his body felt pressured by something heavy.

He looked confused for a while until he saw Reus raising his left arm towards him as if doing something to him.

"What the fuck.... What the hell did I do?"

"uh? I stopped your movement so you wouldn't come any closer, can't you understand something this simple?"

The Dragonewt clenched his teeth feeling so furious by Reus' attitude that he seemed to be playing tricks on him.

Reus gave a small smile ridiculing the Dragonewt Chief for a moment before raising his voice again.

"Are you not able to calm down a little? I came here also not looking for a commotion. Can you at least not attack me?"

"You humans have never paid any attention to the words of anyone other than your countrymen. What makes you, a human being, have the right to say that?"

"Oh, so you're acting like a human you hate. Then you realize you're not that different from those barbaric humans?"

The Dragonewt chief widened his eyes for a moment realizing Reus' true words were not wrong, but hearing such a sentence from Reus did not manage to calm him down. He looked even more angry than before.

"How dare you equate us with a goddamn piece of trash like you!"

He forced his entire body to move in order to split Reus into dozens of pieces but the pressure from Reus' Psychokinesis was still stronger making him unable to move more than one step.

Reus did not respond to the Dragonewt chief's words. He himself could see the level of Dragonewt in front of him even though it almost equaled him but the status of Reus was still higher so something like this was not difficult for him.

Seeing the leader could not be spoken to with a cold head Reus turned his gaze to the Lizardmen army which now looks a dilemma.

They still draw weapons to Reus to be aware of the movements of the humans as well as looking for a gap to release their leader from the influence of Reus, yet on the other hand they had all seen how this silvery-white-haired human figure blew away some of their members just by raising their chin.

None of them were so foolish as to come forward and attack an enemy whose strength was completely unknown.

Reus nodded slowly making sure the situation had become calmer then reached into his pocket and showed a badge that made all the Lizardmen troops as well as the Dragonewt leader stunned, stunned, even Ibane rubbed his eyes a few times not believing in his vision.

"So, can I now talk to someone of authority?"
