181. The Feet and the Hands of Darkness

A few days after the king's invitation reached Reus' hands, news broke that the silver-haired young man had come with his friends. Right now they were walking towards the throne room in between by the palace maids.

Arriving at Reus and his comrades in the throne room, Aulcrat welcomed them all well, especially Reus. He almost prostrated himself at Reus' feet if he did not realize his position as king of a land.

   "My savior, you helped me again when I had not given you any reward after the incident."

   "No need, Your Honor. It should be me who brought the reward as a ransom for the damage and losses that Lavore Kingdom had suffered a few days ago."

   "You don't have to do that, Mr. Reus. It is precisely I who should be blamed for being possessed by the dark creature."

Reus and Aulcrat chatted for a moment before a fake cough resuscitated Reus, he turned to the source of the voice which turned out to be Ikshan. He signaled to Reus not to have to be convoluted and get straight to the point.

Reus nodded slowly understanding Ikshan's intentions, he also cleared his throat once and had a serious conversation with Aulcrat.

   "All right, Your Majesty. Can I find out the root of the problem between the nobles including you and Sylph?"

Aulcrat then tells him everything he knows about Sylph and the events that happened to the poor man five years ago.

Sylph de Corvette is a famous witch in Lavore Kingdom. He was so good at wind, lightning, and water magic that if his magic were combined it would cause a storm, which is why Sylph was dubbed the Warlock of Gale.

Originally just an ordinary witch who protects the kingdom from threats but gradually, Sylph was recognized by the surrounding community until Aulcrat gave her the title of nobility and region to rule.

Although only barren land is not habitable, Sylph does not complain. He received the title and the area conferred by Aulcrat on him.

Several years after Sylph's appointment as a noble of Lavore Kingdom, his achievements in developing his area using the magic he mastered were heard throughout the kingdom so as to invite many citizens to migrate to the Sylph region.

It didn't last long until Aulcrat was overrun by Lucius Maen'ra five years ago in order to brainwash and turn the entire Lavore Kingdom into an additional force for the Order of Chaos, at the same time messing with the strength of the Plainfest continent to be more easily attacked later.

   "In my memory, not only Lavore Kingdom was affected but many other countries. I know it because I've been connected to his mind for five years."

Aulcrat immediately added the reason he was able to find out some of Lucius Maen'ra's plans. Reus did not care much about Aulcrat's reasoning, as long as he got valid information then he did not care much about the reason this information was known.

Sylph's achievements not only brought praise from the surrounding community, many nobles were envious of Sylph's strength and achievements. It was then used by Lucius Maen'ra to tear down Sylph to easily control it.

Lucius gathered the nobility who disliked Sylph, eventually being elected to the Zackfone family who would become the main actors in executing the incident five years ago.

Aulcrat also said that the group that blocked the road and destroyed the territory of Sylph was the Order of Chaos which Lucius disguised as a certain powerful organization.

   "So, that's why he could lose...."

Reus bit his own nails during Aulcrat's story, he never thought that the Order of Chaos had moved that long and had not been detected by the public. Perhaps the only one capable of detecting their existence on this Plainfest continent was simply Harleina, the Sage of Nature.

As a tense atmosphere enveloped Reus and co, a feminine voice accompanied by semi-transparent panels simultaneously appeared in front of their faces.

   "{Congratulations, Main Story [Chapter I : The Rise of Darkness] has been resolved! Unlock access to [Chapter II: The Feet and Hands of Darkness]! All players will Log Out forcibly in one hour.}"

Main Story

The shadow of darkness has been found and defeated! It is known that this darkness began to exert their influence on the Plainfest continent, trying to disrupt, reduce, and seize the power of certain countries.

Darkness was not just one but spread throughout the Plainfest continent in a form that could be unfathomable.

Uncover them and start the fight, making them know that Plainfest is not as weak as they think!

The five players who were inside the palace listened to Aulcrat's entire story until it was blown away looking at the semi-transparent panels floating in front of their faces.

Reus and Ikshan are not too surprised as they already suspect there will be progress against Main Story when the threat regarding the Order of Chaos is revealed to the rest of the world.

   "What's wrong? Is there something wrong with my story?"

Aulcrat could see the five Immortal Being in front of him looking frozen, as if shocked by something from his story.

   "Ah no, we've just been progressing because of listening to your story."

   "really? That's good news among this bad news."

Reus and Aulcrat continue their discussion of the possible plans of Lucius Maen'ra and the Order of Chaos in the future, considering that the only one who sees Lucius' mind firsthand is Aulcrat. There was no information more valuable than his mouth at this moment.

On the other hand when Reus and Aulcrat returned to chatting, Crystina's face deteriorated and looked so tangled. He doesn't want to believe Reus's nonsense about the Order of Chaos but seeing the progress towards the Main Story, it's impossible for Crystina to reject reality any more than this.

Ramsey who often looks relaxed and unencumbered though now shows a facial look that is not too different from Crystina, which is not too different, he can feel the world of Orbis Online will start to change in the future thanks to the existence of this Main Story.

   "You might already be able to believe about the existence of this Order of Chaos, right?"

Ikshan chuckled as he watched the expression change in Crystina and Ramsey. The two turned towards Ikshan for a moment feeling like they were being played with but the assumption was not wrong, they were being played with by their own doubts towards Reus.

Crystina and Ramsey did not respond to Ikshan's insinuations, so they were busy sending messages to their Crimson Castle colleagues to confirm if they also got a similar notification panel.

It turned out that other Crimson Castle members also received a panel containing the same notification, it could be known that this panel appeared in front of all players who were playing at this time.

   "Chairman, Reus' words about the Order of Chaos proved to be true. What else are we waiting for?"

In the midst of his busyness to inform the members, Kynel patted Crystina on the shoulder and warned her that she should immediately give orders to level up quickly.

Crystina nodded to Kynel, sending her orders to all members of Crimson Castle to level up and gather strength as soon as possible, both players and NPCs.

On the other hand Reus and Aulcrat themselves had just finished talking about the Order of Chaos.

   "Well, then can I visit Sylph now?"

   "Sure, Mr. Reus. Sure." Sure."

Reus and Aulcrat immediately stepped towards the palace dungeon leaving the four players in the throne room in confusion.
