83. Nue

"So it's a different monster, huh?"

Reus sighed heavily knowing it turned out that the figure in question from the Quest given by the mayor and his Special-Class Special Quest was different. The quest fulfilled right now was only the Quest of the mayor of Bayfrost, while the Quest for his Special-Class was still of no progress.

He walked with a heavy shoulder towards the exit of this temple ruins Dungeon. Although indeed he had thought about the possibility of a monster figure in these two Quests was different, still his disappointment could not be muted that quickly.

No Undead was seen approaching Reus as long as he walked out of the Ambora Temple. Is it possible that all of the Undead in this Dungeon are already depleted? If so then there are very few mob monsters in this place.

Reus this time did not go back to the city, he intended to go through the forest first to find the mysterious monster who became the destination of his Special-Class Quest.

While walking around Reus was visited several times by Undead monsters left outside the temple of Ambora and fruit-shaped monsters. This fruit monster did not need more than one attack to kill him, yet it seemed like Reus had become interested in hunting more.

"Drop items they are quite useful for filling HP or bulging the stomach. I might be able to sell it to NPCs."

While muttering Reus bites an Apple he got from a huge apple-shaped mob monster. He is not in a state of hunger or loss of HP which means, but if walking through the forest alone will be boring. At least he can eliminate his boredom a little bit doing chewing activities.

While walking in the forest Reus met some Undead Mage that of course he exterminated after absorbing some Magic Skills that were directed at him. After fighting Arshwind in the Chaos Lair treasure room, the contents of the Blackstar Magic Skill completely empty jumped up so Reus decided to fill it up as much as possible.

About three hours down the forest, Reus found a creature that is quite scary if judged in terms of appearance alone. From afar he observed, the figure was known to be one of the Field Boss type monsters named Nue who had the body of a tiger, monkey head, eagle legs, and snake-headed tail.

Usually low-level Nue was between 100 and 120, and had Poison Breath skill that really bothered his opponent. Reus himself had prepared some Antidotes needed to neutralize the Poison status, but the problem was that his level was still too low if he had to match this monster.

It was true that Reus had managed to kill a Dungeon Boss figure of his 90s in a single strike, but that did not mean that other Boss-type monsters of over 100 could be taken lightly. Just as Reus wanted to leave his place and walk back to the city, suddenly the Quest description panel for his Special-Class class changed.

   "Eh? This monster?"

Reus' face turned sour as soon as he saw his Quest data being updated. Not just one, but he had to kill three Field Boss-type monsters named Nue. How not? His level alone was still at the peak of his 60s, but the enemy he had to fight was level 100? Deraft Corporation joking?

Reus could only sigh then think of a strategy he could use to eradicate Nue. Because Nue had the Poison Breath skill, it was likely that he also had resistance to Poison status so that the Poison-Poison Reus possessed was useless.

Moreover, the Magic Skills that Reus had gathered in Blackstar were still very few, different when fighting Arshwind. Although the magic power it absorbed was only around level 110 and above, its quantity reached tens to hundreds so the damage it incurred was indeed quite terrifying.

"Huh, I have to use my full strength again."

Once again Reus sighed with determination as there was no other way but to use his full strength from the start.

Reus moved in silence while hiding himself behind the trunks of trees and bushes. Nue's sense of smell and hearing was indeed sharp, but the current wind direction was more favorable for Reus.

When it reached the back side and saw the gap from Nue, Reus immediately shot as fast as possible while activating Black Form, then exerting Hollow Swords that surrounded Blackstar. In an instant Reus had already immersed half of Blackstar's form into the body of this hybrid being.

Receiving a surprise attack from a human, Nue immediately ran to take distance with a look that was still confused. How can a Nue not hear or smell a human being even though the function of his ears and nose is the most proud of his senses?

From his snake tail, Nue spouted a bright purple poisonous gas that was a Poison Breath skill. Reus who was about to advance his steps was restrained once his opponent exerted Poison Breath, he immediately drank Antidote which was also able to increase his resistance to Poison in a certain duration of time.

'Does Poison Breath include Magic Skill? If that's true...'

As the question floated in his mind, Reus raised Blackstar forward intending to absorb the poisonous gas Nue released. As far as he knew poison did not include the magic elements that Mage could choose, which was why Reus did not really expect that Blackstar could eat this bright purple gas.

A short while later Blackstar began to absorb the poisonous gases that spread in the air but its speed could be said to be slow considering this poison came from monsters level 100 and above. At least Reus could be a little relieved to see Blackstar's undoubted ability.

Behind the thinning poison gas, Nue fired several wind bullets that shot rapidly towards Reus. Naturally due to being too fast and the considerable level difference between the two, Reus chose to dodge rather than fend it off using Blackstar.

By the way, before returning to the Ambora Temple Reus had already fixed Blackstar in Bayfrost city so that Dur's lost status thanks to fighting Arshwind in Chaos Lair had fully recovered.

Besides being famous for his Poison Breath, Nue was also rumored to have mastered several wind-elemental magic skills that made him able to attack from a distance, such as the skill that was deployed towards Reus just now.

Although Reus was able to avoid it, he was hit by a small scratch that made him lose a bit of HP. Usually Reus is able to avoid attacks like this, but thanks to Nue's special Poison Breath he has difficulty controlling the body properly despite taking Antidote.

Reus sighed and drew as much air as he could, though, it then formed its horses and without further ado it darted fast while swinging the Heavy Flash Dragon Smite which he used to defeat the Undead Queen earlier in a single slash. But due to his poor control of his body thanks to Nue's poison, the damage he caused was not so severe.

"Heh, what I'm after isn't this."

Even though his attack on Nue was so severe that it caused the hybrids to crash a few steps back, Reus was dissatisfied. He darted again within the poison fog towards his opponent with Blackstar drawing sharply forward intending to give Nue a stab attack.

Unfortunately Nue was able to easily dodge and immediately counterattack in the form of a snake tail lash at Reus which made this silvery white-haired player crash and roll a few meters. Indeed he had managed to immerse the attack with Blackstar, but his HP was already at the limit.

Reus wanted to take the HP Potion and consume it immediately, but the Nue did not let it and immediately shot to attack this time using both of his front claws. Originally Reus wanted to drink the HP Potion quietly, but thanks to the successive attacks from this opponent he could only temper the potion bit by bit.
