48. Game Over? Not time!

Reus's fight against dozens of Orcs blocking the only way out of Viredeta village did not end well, on the contrary. His stamina began to drain and fatigue made his body tremble helplessly.

Now not only did the dozens of Orcs face him, but also dozens of Goblins, Hobgoblins, Skeletons, Wolf, Trolls, Orcs, and several other mob monsters were surrounding Reus from behind and to the side.

His stamina that had been thinned due to the fight against the dozens of gatekeeper Orcs had greatly affected his movements so that Reus again stopped in place. Now he is leaning against a wall of the house resting his feet for a moment while adjusting his breath, but Reus realizes that he is currently in a corner.

His condition is so tired and powerless is no longer a character who can overcome this mob monster crowd alone. Not only his stamina, but also his energy had also run out to touch zero.

From the clock, there was a loud cry. There is seen a figure of Lich— one of the mob monsters with the race Undead— throwing a Magic-type skill in the form of a spear of red fire infinity.

Seeing this, Reus swung Blackstar and slashed the skill to eat it, but something shocking happened.

   "Aarrayarghh!!"

An explosion was created as soon as Reus slashed the Magic Skill. He was also thrown into the wall of the building behind him to make a large crack there. As a result of the attack just now, his HP bar was reduced to about 15%.

Blackstar has an Ability called Magic Devour that is able to devour Magic-type skills, then its users can choose magic that has been devoured to be ejected again or want to be converted into Energy. But for some reason, this Ability was inactive when Reus slashed the Javelin Blaze skill.

Reus tried to rethink, why is the Magic Devour inactive? Why wasn't the skill eaten by Blackstar? Though in the battles before in this village the Magic Devour can be active without any hindrance or difficulty, how can it be?

When he solved the question in his head, he accidentally discovered something a little odd. The percentage of his Energy bar was turning into more than before. This made him think again without caring about the monster troops that were slowly approaching him.

It was true that he wanted to slash the Javelin Blaze skill from the enemy, devour it and then convert it into Energy, but couldn't the Magic Devour eat it?

Unable to think any further, Reus finally resigned himself and decided to slaughter all the monsters that intended to attack him. He activated Hollow Swords, then launched the five semi-transparent blackish purple swords to slash at all enemies within his range.

When he saw his Hollow Swords sword hovering against an enemy within range, Reus found a practical and sure way out. Although a bit crazy, but this is the only chance Reus to get out of the monster village Viredeta.

Unsure that 100% would work, Reus drew the Hollow Swords he had created toward him. The two swords he pointed near his two feet and stepped on him stood there, while the other three still slashed at the monsters that were trying to attack him.

After making sure to stand on his semi-transparent sword, Reus moved the two swords at his feet to float up and away from the battleground below while maintaining balance. The remaining three swords automatically followed Reus from behind as it exceeded the maximum distance.

   "Successfully..? I succeeded!? I succeeded! I escaped! I got away, you son of a bitch! I got away with this crazy idea, brazen!!"

Realizing the crazy idea he had devised just now managed to get him through death and penalty, Reus shouted as loudly as possible to celebrate his escape. But he who was too happy because he managed to escape had forgotten his own balance and almost fell down. Fortunately, he was conscious and immediately fixed it.

Right, Reus floated with the help of his Hollow Swords skill. Using this he was able to leave the village of Viredeta. Another crazy idea from Reus has opened up new possibilities for the Skill Modifier title.
