63. Refugees
Since the arrival of the red-shawed Assassin, Reus' fight has become very easy. Because the Assassin has a wind-elemented Magic Skill that can overcome the Goblin Archers who hide in the building from a distance. Most likely he obtained and used the Wind-elemental Rune.

"Lyra, thank you."
Reus sheathed back his sword on his back when the fight was over. He breathed a sigh of relief knowing that he was still standing here without having to return to the real world as fast as lightning after logging back in.
Without caring for Reus who was still a little confused about Livetuna's situation, Lyra just stepped her feet towards the back of Reus—the place from where she had come before. Reus walked after him, who had no idea where the Assassin was headed.
On a journey that went somewhere, Reus asked Lyra a few things about the current state of Livetuna. One by one the questions were asked, but Lyra answered only a few important ones.
Lyra explained that Livetuna had lost three-quarters of its territory due to a surprise attack by high-level Goblin and Hobgoblin forces. For most players of course ordinary Goblins are not so great and powerful, but the problem is the Goblin Warriors, Goblin Archers, Goblin Shamans, and some Hobgoblins are quite terrible.
Livetuna's Defensive Army also could not keep pace and defend the city from the onslaught of the Goblin horde which numbered approximately 5,000. After all, the high-leveled players who participated in the defense of Livetuna city did not benefit because of the many enemies that invaded the city from almost every side.
The Goblins attack from the south, east, and west side in unison and that makes the LDA and other players panic instead of overbearing. There was no prior notice that there would be a monster attack on the city so LDA members did not worry about it and relaxed behind the Livetuna defensive walls.
When Orbis Online is updated and maintained, all systems and servers will be temporarily shut down so that the process runs smoothly without obstacles. Deraft Corporation itself uses a special system used to update Orbis Online so as not to nod the world system itself. But because of fear of system damage, the developer still turns off the system and server.
During the update and maintenance all time and activities inside Orbis Online are frozen and all players who are still logged in will be forced to log out. After the update and maintenance is done, then the system will be moved as before. It was at this time that the Goblins around Livetuna carried out their assault.
"What an incredible story."
Reus smiled faintly at Lyra's explanation of Livetuna's current situation. He did not expect that the development of the story in this game is so good and dramatic from the player's side. Of course there are some players who do not accept this, but overall this incident can be a plot twist on the world of Orbis Online.
After a few minutes of traveling from where they fought, Reus and Lyra reached the area of Livetuna that was not affected. Although three-quarters of Livetuna had been completely colonized by the Goblins, one-fourth of the city's total area remained safe, making it a refuge and a defense base.
There were a lot of refugee tents and NPCs who lost their families and homes. There were also some soldiers, doctors, volunteers, and some other NPCs who helped the refugees face this disaster.
"Lyra, is Quest Center included in this region?"
"No, but you can take the Quest from the receptionist of the Quest Center who took refuge there."
Lyra pointed to a small tent in front of which sat a girl complete with a table, chair, and some documents that she had to do. Even so, actually the document is just a display so that he looks busy.
After knowing the location, Reus immediately stepped towards the receptionist girl of the Quest Center and intended to take the available Quest.
"His quest is just all Goblin hunting? That's right."
Upon seeing the available Quest, Reus showed a sour face that really looked disappointed. How not? Everyone in Livetuna knew that the city had been brought down by a powerful Goblin army. It is only natural that Goblin hunting is a priority Quest.
Although Goblins are considered not too strong, the Rewards offered in killing Goblins are quite tempting for novice players.

Looking at the details of his Quest, Reus let out a heavy sigh. He did not at all suspect that the Event Monstrous Invasion could attack and destroy a city, even creating its own Quest from that Event. Really, Orbis Online is a hard game to guess.

Outside the safe area of Livetuna, Reus hunts down the Goblin's head one by one using the Blackstar he holds. Most of the Goblins he killed were not level 20s so he could finish them off in a single slash.
"These goblins are indeed stupid and weak, but their numbers are really troublesome."
Reus tightens his jaw knowing he meets a group of Goblins again. But not the ordinary Goblin group he had killed since, this time a group of 10 Goblin Warriors, five Goblin Archers, and a large Hobgoblins figure carrying a giant two-handed sword.
But in a moment of urgency like that instead of being afraid and giving up, Reus even showed a meaningful smile. He retrieves one of the Items from his Inventory, then uses it by blowing on the Item.
When the whistling of the Item stopped, a small Minotaur appeared two meters deep from the ground three meters away from where Reus was standing. Right, the item Reus used was the Minotaur's Summon Horn.
"Guuuoooo!!"
The minotaur roared loudly once its entire body had been freed from the ground. He turned and looked at Reus, but he did nothing. He looked Reus in the eye and knelt before him.
"Sir, what are your orders?"
The shiny silver-haired player was briefly surprised, but he managed to hold it in and immediately gave the order. Reus pointed at the Goblin Warriors in front of him and raised his voice.
"Stop them."
