25. Three Branches of the Aisle

With Mirage and his party members, Reus had no trouble at all while walking down the Lafos cave on this Mauren mountain. The more you enter the level, status, and pattern of the opponent will increase so that it becomes more difficult to beat than the previous one. With the help of Mirage and the others, he was able to fight without losing a meaningful amount of HP.

In a fight in a cave like this, the ability of a melee weapon is preferred. Lafos Cave is not as narrow as caves in the real world, this cave is large enough so that it can be entered by two cruise ships lined horizontally at once. Because of this, Reus, Fira, Edmund, and Kuro's fighting abilities are not limited by the area of the room, while Mirage and Violet watch and support the four of them from the back line.

Every magician has one healing skill, but the effect also depends on the status and race he wears. For example, there are players with Orc races who are supposed to take close-up classes such as Swordsman or Warrior, the healing skills are not as strong and effective as Elf-race players who are suitable to take magician classes.

Mirage occasionally deployed healing skills to Reus as Reus was the weakest player among them and the only one whose HP could drop to below 20%. For Fira, Edmund, and Kuro who were in the top 80 mob monsters in this level 25 cave was no match for them. Their HP bar alone had not touched 95%.

As a High Mage, Mirage had more attacking magic skills than supporting an Enchanter class. Therefore, he used healing and attacking skills with Violet who also guarded those in the front line using a pair of pistols in both hands.

   "Swings!"

Zraaac!!

With a final attack using his Swing skill, Reus defeats a mob monster named Medium Blue Lizard. This monster is a giant lizard-shaped blue that is quite often found anywhere, even Medium Blue Lizard is often hunted by beginners because it usually drops drop items and exp is quite good and lots of.

Fortunately, this is only in the virtual world so that no animals or species can become extinct due to the spawning system that is certainly applied in almost all VRMMORPG games. In the real world, the Medium Blue Lizard has been extinct for a long time.

After about an hour since they met inside the cave passage, their opponents changed from mob monsters to armed Dwarf NPCs and had quite good equipment. But with the help of the Mirage— party, especially Mirage and Violet—Reus did not experience significant difficulties in dealing with these new enemies.

Because it is a new player and does not have much experience, Reus has never once fought enemies that have complicated movements such as NPCs. Although Reus possessed a sword technique that was quite difficult to estimate, the strength of his status was not enough to deal with Gnome Bandits such as against hordes of Pebble Golems or Ice Golems.

But thanks to that his level and status increased.

Reus nodded slowly seeing his status and level increase. Although he still has CP—Customize Point—ia does not want to rush to improve his status suddenly. He thought about how to raise the status as high as possible without using CP.

"No, I just swung my sword as fast and as effective as possible on the opponent. Why?"

"A-ah no, it's just that brother looks great at playing the sword."

   'Really?'

Not giving praise from Kuro, Reus sheathed his Iron Sword +4. Edmund as a sword-wielding player also praised Reus' sword technique. On the other hand, Violet and Fira only admired that white-haired Swordsman classy player from afar.

"Mira, your sister's cool too yeah."

"Cooled from? Brother that loner knows."

"You're a brash sister to her brother, aren't you?"

   "Be quiet, Fira."

The three of them looked at Reus who was talking to Kuro and Edmund from behind. Reus is a loner and does not like to get along, but his face and appearance are not too bad in the eyes of women. But he is not as handsome as Edmund and Kuro in the real world, even he is just right on average.

Mirage was also amazed at Reus's swordplay, but there was no way he would show such feelings openly. It could be said that this Mirage was a prestigious type of girl.

After entering the cave even deeper while exterminating the mob monsters and NPC Gnome Bandits of Dwarf race, Reus and his friends found three branching cave passage which had no clue at all. They look confused in front of the three branches of the hallway.

Although their levels were high, it did not mean Mirage and her friends knew of this place. On the contrary, they knew absolutely nothing of the inside of Lafos cave.

"Sister, how about we split up? We've got six people, one hallway through two."

"Can too. All right, I'll go with Violet."

   "H-hah!? Why!?"

"I'm a beginner, right? In such a situation it is better for each group to contain one melee player and one long or medium range player. From you— who attacked arbitrarily by himself and caused quite a lot of problems—I prefer to go with Violet."

Mirage was silent to Reus' explanation and criticism. He was not silent because he felt like that, but he was silent because he was upset Reus' words really not detained at all. Well, Reus is the type of man who does not hesitate to anyone, including women. If he thinks his opinion is right, then he will defend it.

"Ah, I think Mirage went with Kuro, while Fira went with Edmund. Mirage can help from behind while Kuro holds the role of tank—the role that holds back the enemy attack—then Edmund who has a high Dex can quickly help Fira when he is in trouble. Clear?"

They all nodded their heads in conformity with Reus's opinion. The formation is quite good—moreover with their level and status that is far above Reus—they will not have difficulty. While the others were listening to Reus, Mirage was visibly annoyed at his real-world older brother.

Reus added all five to his Friendlist so that when he was in trouble or the boss room or Quest target was seen, they could contact each other and immediately gather in the same place.

After making a strategy, they stepped into the three aisles in front with a group of two players in one aisle. Reus and Violet take the left aisle, Edmund and Fira in the middle aisle, while Kuro and Mirage choose the right aisle.
