193. The Double Anchor Maxima

It had been more than ten minutes since Reus' battle against the Undead Lesser Dragon had begun, but there was no sign that the Undead Dragon would have fallen so far. Maybe because it turned into an Undead the creature had unlimited stamina or did not feel tired.

Compared to the reverse of the dragon, Reus' condition is quite alarming. In addition to running out of Energy due to using many large-powered skills at once, his stamina had also touched the limit. It looks like his whole body is trembling without more energy.

   "He's immortal, huh?"

Reus consumed Vigor Potion to restore some of his stamina while muttering. He could not believe that after all he had done was unable to subvert this dragon before him.

It was true that compared to Arshwind he had fought inside the Chaos Lair a few months ago, this Undead Lesser Dragon had a level and status difference away from Arshwind, he said, but at that time Reus was only lucky because Blackstar had been filled with hundreds of high-leveled magic before.

Now then? Although his level and status had risen far from what he used to be, without the various high-level magic from Blackstar, Reus would not be able to win so easily.

Different from Arshwind which is a living creature, this one dragon has stamina and energy that may be unlimited. It could be known from his consecutive fire attacks that had barely stopped.

   "It's really a tough fight."

Reus sighed softly while complaining about it, then closed his eyes for a moment and exhaled a long, heavy breath before re-forming his horses focusing all their attention on the rotten creature.

   "There's no way but to fight it out."

Reus once again deployed Dragon Power and Dragon Spirit at the same time, he then advanced forward darting towards the Undead Dragon as fast as possible.

The Undead Dragon could see Reus' movements which were quite easy to read, this time he did not immediately spurt out his fire breath anymore. He had fought long enough with Reus so that he could adapt slightly to the timing of Reus' attack.

   "Double Anchor!"

Reus spun several times with both swords in his hand and swung the sword with all his might intending to aim for the dragon's neck, unfortunately the creature was able to guess Reus' target and react.

The Undead Dragon fluttering its wings threw Reus far back. Looking at Reus' speed, the Undead Dragon would not have time to spurt out a breath of fire considering it took him a few seconds' preparation before using it so he replaced his attack.

Reus himself was not merely thrown backwards, he exerted Psychokinesis on his own body and the Dragon's gigantic body, he said, making a mutual attraction between himself and the Undead Dragon so that he was not thrown too far.

   "It's so heavy."

Reus clucked softly sensing he could not pull the Undead Dragon's gigantic body using Psychokinesis as a whole, he only managed to pull it a few steps before it came apart.

Unlike Telekinesis which can only be done on inanimate objects, the effectiveness of Psychokinesis seems to decrease as the level of the target and the user differs if used on living things. This assumption Reus took from the level gap between himself and this Undead Dragon that had almost reached 100 levels.

   'So, he has adapted to the speed and timing of my attacks, huh?'

When cornered like this instead of giving up, Reus developed a smile on his lips even wider. He took up a position ready to run, lunging at his opponent from the front once more, then darting fast forward.

The Undead Dragon snorted softly as it laughed at Reus while raising its front legs intending to step on the young man after seeing his trajectory, but several meters before the meeting point that should have crushed the dwarf human body in an instant, Reus rotated his body using one of his legs as a shaft and changed the direction of his run avoiding the giant claw.

The dragon's eyes widened wide, realizing that his front legs did not feel the crackling of bones or the dampness of blood, a few moments later his gaze found a silver-haired dwarf creature armed with a pair of swords just below his neck with a big smile.

   "You must be surprised my movements suddenly changed, right?"

After saying so Reus released the Energy Wave wave slash that had been strengthened by Swing and Dragon Smite, then added a skill that he really wanted to try since he first got it.

   "Feel this! Maxima Energy Wave!"

   "Ghaa!!"

The dragon let out a loud scream as if it was suffering so much to feel Reus' attack, but Reus was not merciful.

He deployed Hollow Swords and fused the five semi-transparent black swords together to increase his attack power, Reus then bit Blackstar and grabbed the Hollow Swords sword using his left hand, then turned his body for a moment before unleashing another attack followed by Swing.

   "Double Anchor!"

Reus leaped upwards while smashing his current best attack just below his opponent's neck, smashing steel-hard scales on the neck and successfully making the Undead Dragon's HP drop dramatically.

   "Graaahh!!"

The Undead Dragon let out a loud scream feeling a pain that he might never have experienced as an Undead or a Dragon.

   "Hey, don't yell so dong. My ears could be deaf later."

As the dragon was busy letting out a scream full of pain, Reus flew close to the Dragon's head using Psychokinesis in an instant, then slamming the Hollow Swords sword in his left hand pierced through the one eye of the dragon which was still fine.

The bongsor-bodied creature once again roared so hard that it shook the air around, Reus himself wanted to close his ears but his position was now not supportive.

   'My ears can be real deaf this way!'

While screaming inwardly, Reus exerts Psychokinesis pulling his own body backwards for a moment creating a distance without touching the ground. He was still flying above the air, wishing his opponent was angry and attacking blindly.

Sure enough, after Reus blinded his remaining eyes the dragon let out a breath of fire in various directions ignoring the surroundings. As a result, the land, trees, ruins, and living things that are there are burned by fire.

   "What a barbaric creature."

Reus grinned at his opponent from a height. He then retrieved an Item from the Inventory after retrieving Blackstar from the bite of his mouth, a rainbow-colored pearl and biting it to shatter.

A moment later Reus' body emitted a dim light of various colors for a few moments.

   "Heh, this item really works apparently."

Not wanting to waste too much time anymore, Reus raised his two swords, Dragon Slayer Sword and Blackstar prepared the horses in the air for about ten seconds before dropping down towards the head of the Undead Dragon.

   "Black Sky Sword Art Series: First Form – Black Cloud!"

Once he had reached the range, Reus flew 12 slashes at once using both of his swords which gave off a thin blackish aura. Reus raised his sword high before launching the final attack.

   "This is the last one!"

Together with his final sword swing, Reus used all his remaining Energy and power to exert a pair of twin Swing on his two swords, then unleashed one other skill.

   "Double Anchor Maxima!"
