93. Welsh Kingdom Envoy

After defeating four 60-something Knights who were the mayor's bodyguards as well as the main guard of the Southern Horen Leg city, Reus spent several hours sleeping soundly in the inn he had previously been to. He fell asleep for a few hours.

In the end Reus woke up while stretching his limbs did not intend to experience cramps or anything like that when moving suddenly. Although actually the avatar's body will not experience cramps this activity has become a habit of Reus since long ago so it is difficult to remove.

Not wanting to waste any more time, Reus continued his steps towards the mayor's residence which was near the entrance there were traces of blood and several piles of corpses. It might just be a former battle that Reus did yesterday given that Orbis Online does not have a system that removes dead bodies or damaged buildings.

This is applied because Deraft Corporation seeks to develop Orbis Online as realistically as possible but remains within the limits of the game. It is not funny if the Orbis Online players forget that the fantasy world is just a virtual world, there can be many negative reviews from those who do not play Orbis Online—, especially among parents whose children play Orbis Online.

Because no Reus guards just entered the residence of the mayor without permission and did not relax his vigilance. It could have been a trap deliberately set up to ambush him.

After entering deeper Reus found there were four people in the living room, one of whom was the corrupt mayor who was currently sitting with an expression of fear accompanied by cold sweat that poured down. It didn't take long for the other three to realize Reus' presence in this place.

One of the three strangers stood up and grabbed Reus by the hand with eyes full of admiration. This figure looks like a middle-aged man with leather armour with a mustache and a fairly dense beard neatly twisted to form a pointed angle. Reus was confused by the treatment he received from this man.

"Master can call me Gazel."

Gazel then introduces himself and his two comrades from the central Welsh Kingdom who are sent by the king to inspect the city due to the oddity of unstable tax payment times.

Gazel's colleague who was holding a bow on the sofa named Ralnof, a powerful Ranger. Her face does look beautiful and graceful, but she is actually a man in his 30s approaching 40.

The rest of the figure that hid almost his entire body behind the cloth was Ninho, can be seen from the appearance alone Ninho was an Assassin or something like that. In addition he is a player just like Reus.

Gazel then explained the problems they had in the city for a few days after taking Reus to a seat.

The mayor can be sure to commit corruption and blackmail the people by raising taxes to a level where the residents can not pay, then with the money from the tax bill the mayor took some of it for himself while the rest was handed over to the center of the Welsh Kingdom.

But because the tax costs are too high to cause residents can not pay every month, the tax payment was several times hampered during the last three years which eventually made the government suspicious and finally took action.

Reus patted his forehead not expecting this mayor to be too stupid to commit corruption. He felt the greed of this mayor really made his brain blunt to the roots.

   'At least raise taxes to the level of the population can still pay regularly every month so that tax payments are not disrupted, stupid mayor!'

While putting the mayor in his heart, Reus massaged his forehead feeling dizzy himself hearing the stupid actions of this mayor. Even Reus who does not really understand about politics, management, economics, or anything can realize that simple thing, how does someone who occupies the office of mayor not realize this?

If Gazel and the others had known of Reus's thoughts they might have suspected Reus of being a co-worker of the corrupt mayor.

   "Alright, I know the outline. Now what are you going to do about him? Holding him in the center of the Welsh Kingdom?"

   "Yes, his majesty also asked us to hold him back if he had done something like this."

Reus nodded several times hearing the answer from Gazel's lips, then turned to the corrupt mayor who had resigned his fate because he realized he could not escape anywhere. He chuckled at the mayor's resigned expression before turning his attention back to Gazel.

   "Then, what does this have to do with me?"

   "Ekhem, that...."

Gazel cleared a small throat but did not continue his speech which stopped when he turned to face to face with Reus.

   "We are not strong enough to face the four Knights who are the main forces of the city and this mayor so seeing you defeat the four Knights makes us move."

   "Ninho, I told you to be quiet about it!"

When Ninho answered Reus' question, Gazel grumbled at the figure of the player covering his entire body with clothes except for his dark blue eyes. Reus put on a wry smile despite knowing their level was indeed not enough to deal with a single Knight.

Naturally the case of Reus was very different from the three who were a group of NPCs and ordinary players, Reus was an abnormal player who had a status amount that far exceeded his own level. When Ninho checked Reus' level yesterday his eyes widened in disbelief at what he saw.
