182. Sylph

Before going with Aulcrat to the palace dungeon where Sylph was being held, Reus told Crystina and the others not to make a fuss until she returned. It could be another matter that led to the loss of their combat power against the Chaos Order even further.

Lavore Kingdom is not one of the largest and strongest kingdoms in the Plainfest continent but in terms of military, Lavore Kingdom can be a great power for Reus and friends when the Order of Chaos comes.

"By the way Ikshan, make sure not to lower your guard. You know what I mean, don't you?"

Ikshan nodded slowly before Reus went any further, he understood clearly Reus's intentions even though the other three players at the venue were confused, except for Crystina who understood the situation a little.

After saying so Reus went down the stairs with Aulcrat and disappeared from his fourth view. At the same time Ramsey came close to Ikshan with a slightly astonished face.

"Ikshan, what did Reus mean just now?"

"As Reus said, don't lower your guard."

"I heard what he said, but what to look out for? We come with the king's invitation. Even if there are bad intentions towards us, with the presence of the head of Crystina we can handle it."

Ramsey whispered a little to Ikshan when he expressed his opinion about Reus and Ikshan who seemed too paranoid about the situation around them. Even though the people present in this place were not very friendly to them, Ramsey still felt they did not dare to do the thing that was feared by the two.

Ikshan sighed for a moment before pulling Ramsey's ear. The red-haired young man was a little protested as Ikshan suddenly fouled his ears but upon learning of it, Ramsey's body froze.

"There is a possibility that not only King Aulcrat was possessed but the nobles in this place were also possessed or may have been manipulated by the Order of Chaos."

Ramsey's face paled slightly as Ikshan told her about it, then he looked at Crystina who now did not look relaxed in the slightest. Although the Great Grega had been deposited into the Inventory, Crystina let out an air that intimidated everyone nearby as if driving them away.

No one dared to approach Crystina thanks to the air, as well as Ramsey who now also showed a skeptical attitude towards all NPCs in the room.

Ikshan himself did not share his dislike towards the NPCs, he was just acting ordinary but alert. If he were to use Bloodlust then there was a chance that the NPC would point a weapon at him, so he chose to be ordinary.

Reus and Aulcrat arrive at the palace's dungeon, a special prison for royal prisoners. They were guarded by three high-leveled Elite Knights walking behind them.

At first Aulcrat did not mind going down to the dungeon only alone with Reus but the guards refused, so he did, they could not leave the king with an opponent who could push back more than a thousand troops alone.

Reus himself did not object to the three guards, considering he must be wary. The attitude of these Elite Knights was also understandable to him.

"Mr Reus, I'm sorry if it's presumptuous but Sylph's mental state is terrible. We were even forced to keep the prison guards away from getting hit by her magic that barged out."

Aulcrat patted Reus on the shoulder as he said that. He explained that he had tried to talk to Sylph about the misunderstanding between himself and the man nicknamed Warlock of Gale but unfortunately, Sylph said nothing but swear and swear.

"I understand that I have made mistakes and am ready to endure them all, but I cannot let innocent people get hurt because of this matter."

The old man lowered his head, he looked resigned and lethargic when it came to Sylph's matter.

"No problem, Your Honor. I'll try to persuade Sylph to get the problem resolved."

Sylph would not easily forgive Aulcrat even if she could understand that Aulcrat had been controlled by others all along. Revenge will not be extinguished just like a candle flame exposed to water droplets.

After Aulcrat agreed to his proposal, Reus stepped closer to the cell where Sylph was being held.

Behind the bars is a figure of Sylph in the condition of both hands and feet bound by anti-magic chains. His body is much thinner than the last time Reus saw it, moreover his hair that used to look shiny black and healthy is now white and unkempt.

Reus swallowed his saliva looking at Sylph's miserable condition. She could tell by the hair and its unkempt appearance, Sylph had been subjected to such severe pressure that she suffered from Marie Antoinette syndrome which caused sudden bleaching of the hair.

He is no stranger to this syndrome because he quite often hears the term, but this is the first time for Reus to see the sufferer directly.

In addition to the change in his appearance, Reus could also feel an incredible magic power seeping out constantly from Sylph's body. Despite not taking any form of magic, Reus can feel the flow of his magic thanks to training under the then nanny Randolf.

'Even if constrained by anti-magic chains, the magic power emanated from his body is so strong as if it can exert magic at any time.'

Reus swallowed his saliva for a moment while staring at Sylph, now he was hesitant to fulfill his words towards Aulcrat. Reus's confidence to persuade Sylph was as if he was free-falling from the sky.

"Heh, you were conspiring with those old wedge as well. I really didn't expect."

Sylph raised her chin looking at Reus with a cynical smile filled with anger, clearly a great hatred towards the look in those eyes.

Reus drew and exhaled a series of breaths preparing his heart to face Sylph. He now looked at Sylph with confidence and confidence even though Reus felt otherwise.

   "Listen Sylph, I—"

   "Shut your foul mouth!"

Not yet had Reus finished his words, Sylph shouted loudly filled with anger and disgust, making Reus speechless. Sylph's expression revealed so much hatred as if hatred all over the world was gathering within her.

"You came with that son of a bitch, I've seen enough! No need to re-explain!"

More powerful magic power seeped out from Sylph's body along with an outburst of her anger. The wind around the cell was blowing violently as if it was about to go berserk. It happened for a while until the wind rage began to subside slowly.

Sylph felt calmer after venting her anger. The massive magic power that was coming out continuously from his body was now decreasing bit by bit, but not until it disappeared completely.

A drop of tears came down Sylph's cheek and fell to the prison floor, even though Reus' face was now downcast and could tell what the man behind the cell looked like.

Reus once again took a breath, this time he felt quite confident of being able to speak. Reus crouched down in front of the prison bars and looked at the downcast Sylph facing the floor.

"Sylph, you are free to assume that I am in cahoots with whom, but let not hatred and revenge shackle your common sense. Hatred and revenge will not revive a dead person."

After Reus said so, Sylph raised her chin and looked at Reus blankly for a moment. His eyes then turned so filled with anger and hatred, then shouted out loud.

"You Immortal Being, a being that came from another world! What do you know about our feelings?!"
