Orbis Online

Orbis Online
197. Boss Room

It didn't take too long for Reus to eradicate all opponents who blocked his path. In addition to his high status at his current level, his swordplay, which is much different than it was a few months ago, has greatly helped this journey.

Currently Reus had reached the end of the Ruins of Seven Dragon King thanks to his own abilities without any additional Chant-type skills apart from the various titles he had.

"There is no useful information other than relief carvings along the hall."

Reus sighed not getting any other information he could understand despite having traced the Dungeon so far.

"Well, this place is just one of the few Dungeons suggested by teacher Randolf. I guess I'm the one who's hoping too much."

After saying so Reus sheathed his sword back while sighing in disappointment.

The reason Reus entered the Ruins of the Seven Dragon King was indeed to find information regarding the Arshwind seal which he said spread throughout the world of Orbis Online, which is said to be, This Dungeon was one of the most likely places according to Randolf.

Reus himself had consulted Randolf about the Arshwind seal while training for two months under his guidance, but Randolf himself was not very knowledgeable about sealing magic of some kind, especially magic capable of sealing a dragon race like Arshwind.

At first hearing the news of Arshwind being sealed in a Dungeon from Reus, Randolf did not immediately believe because he understood the power of Arshwind who had fought together against the Order of Chaos in the past, but when Reus gives the Dragon Scale to Arshwind, Randolf immediately believes it even though it is difficult to accept.

He then told several places that might hold a way to overcome the Arshwind seal to Reus, one of which was this Ruins of Seven Dragon King.

"Alright, I think I've checked the whole room in this place."

Reus stretched his body for a moment before changing his entire Equip into the Dragon Equip series along with Balmung and Blackstar on his back, he then turned to a giant door that had since emitted a terrifying aura.

He could feel an unusual radiance of energy like a trap on the Ambora Temple leading towards the Chaos Lair from the door.

Indeed, the aura did not feel too terrible as emitted by Aulcrat when it was still possessed by Lucius Maen'ra, but this aura was arguably dangerous even for Reus though.

Reus took a series of breaths first solidifying his heart, then after feeling certain he touched and pushed the door.

Although it looks big and looks heavy to reach tons, in fact only with a light push Reus can open the door.

As soon as the door opened Reus could see the contents of the room behind it, a large room like a slightly collapsed hall accompanied by seven stone thrones with various carvings and precious stones like gems decorated it. On top of the seven thrones there is also a giant dragon head statue numbering the same as the throne.

Reus was a little nervous when he saw the contents of the room, but he ventured out and entered it.

He looked at the room several times. Indeed there is not enough lighting, but Reus is still able to see the condition of the room that really looks like ruins.

"In addition to the gemstones found on the seven thrones, there is no source of illumination."

Reus muttered for a moment analyzing the condition of the room as far as his observation was concerned. He slightly objected considering he could not search for information well in the dark.

Reus then shook his head slowly brushed off the thought before pulling the two swords on his back while going further closer to the center of the room.

"After all this is the boss room, there must be a source of illumination in this place."

Sure enough, just a few steps Reus entered the room further, the giant door behind him closed by itself and on the wall of the room was created a blaze that spread from the direction of the door to the throne gradually, gradually, illuminate the room completely.

Reus is not too surprised at the typical reception room boss like this, he has often seen similar events when playing RPG games on his phone in the past so he is quite familiar.

"Well, where's the boss coming out?"

Some time had passed after Reus was ready for the battle, but nothing had happened. Everything looked normal with no sign of the appearance of the Dungeon Boss in the slightest, there was not even a sound other than the breath of Reus alone in the room.

It managed to make Reus' forehead shrivel for a moment and let go of his fighting horses, feeling astonished at this incident.

"Is this not the boss' room?"

Reus' head was immediately engulfed in confusion, he did not understand the peculiarities within this Dungeon. He had already traced through every room that was not the boss room within the Ruins of Seven Dragon King, only this room he had yet to enter.

It was not strange that there was a hidden room within a high-level Dungeon like this, but the boss room should have nothing to do with the hidden room if the room really existed.

When Reus was busy thinking about this oddity, his ears then caught the sound of friction and the impact of small rocks. Reus would not care if it was only occasionally considering this place was a ruin, yet he heard such sounds from various directions of the room and in large numbers.

Reus immediately raised his vigilance while preparing for the fight.

Some time passed by Reus found no strangeness in the surroundings other than the sound of the rocks, but when he felt all it was just a normal sound in these ruins, it was just a normal sound, his eyes caught a strange move on the rubble-strewn stone on the floor of the room.

The stones vibrate and then slowly roll towards several different places. It was slow but over time the rocks formed seven large humanoid figures.

   "Gollem?"

Reus raised next to his eyebrows seeing that, he immediately came to the conclusion that the creature was a stone golem, but its form was different from the Stone Golem he had fought.

In the end the stone golem took the form of Lizardmen, but with a larger size, then equipped with armor and weapons made of stone as well. They also have an extra pair of stone wings on each other's backs.

"They're the boss? The Lizardmen or Dragonewt-shaped stone golem?"

Reus could not help his surprise, he never knew there was a Dungeon with seven bosses at once in Orbis Online. This is probably the first one invented by the player.

As Reus shifted all his vigilance to the seven stone golem-shaped bosses before him, suddenly a speck of light caught his attention. The light came from the seven dragon-head statues above the throne, more precisely on their eyes.

Immediately, cold sweat drenched Reus' back.

   "This..really?"

Reus' eyes widened violently to find the seven statues of the dragon's head emitting light from his eyes, then shortly after the mouth part of each of them opened gradually accompanied by the sound of a loud rock.

Reus immediately narrowed his eyes intending to see the status of the dragon head statue. As soon as the panel containing the information regarding the seven dragon head statues opened, Reus gulped his saliva reflexively.

   "You must be kidding me...."
