Several days have passed since Reus and the others attacked Gaia's Tree at night, now the young man is languishing behind the bars of Alvast prison with his trusted partner, Ikshan.
"I never should have agreed to this...."
Ikshan sighed heavily leaning his back against the prison wall.
"You came with me after knowing the risks, there's no need to complain so."
In contrast to Ikshan, Reus laughed in a corner. There was no sense of pressure or annoyance on Reus' face despite having languished in one of the places most feared by players.
Ikshan smiled wryly at Reus' response which was so calm that he even laughed cheerfully as if nothing had happened.
The two languished behind this barren room was not without reason considering both Reus and Ikshan attacked Gaia's Tree in this city. Such acts are strictly prohibited by the ruler of the country unless there is a statement of dueling or certain orders that have been approved.
Thanks to the slaughter of many members of Gaia's Tree, the Legion which was recognized by the state and given permission to operate in the Lavore Kingdom region, Reus and Ikshan were imprisoned within an undetermined time. Most likely they would be put to death using a special Item named Immortal Slayer.
The Immortal Slayer was unlike any other Item, this tool was only possessed by the royal party as it was capable of killing any Immortal Being without exception. This item not only killed once and lowered the level then let players live again in prison, but actually died.
Players do not really die in the real world, their account will only be deleted when killed but the account that has been deleted will be lost for good.
Since the first release of Orbis Online, there have been several players who have experienced similar events. They were arrested and sentenced to death, they then asked the Deraft Corporation for compensation but not responded.
Some time later the incident was spread through rumors and became one of the reasons why most players can not do as they please in the world of Orbis Online, which is not, especially against or troublemaking certain lands that have Immortal Slayer.
Dunk and Kynel were not imprisoned for not being involved in the massacre, they just watched from afar doing nothing so they were released. Reus also told them to stay away so both of them were safe.
Reus and Ikshan were able to fight back when they were brought here but Reus asked Ikshan not to do so in order to find out how the prison system was going, even though he panicked when he found out they would be sentenced to death.
"So, you have a plan, Reus?"
Ikshan glanced at Reus for a moment, suspecting that the young man had a plan because he did not look agitated or upset while in prison.
"Of course I have, otherwise it's impossible for me to laugh like this, right? You think I'm crazy?"
'Where could anyone in their right mind declare open war against the Legion alone!'
Ikshan was eager to say so, yet he preferred to keep it in his heart. He doesn't want to be left alone if Reus really has an escape plan.
Reus whispered his plan to Ikshan, successfully making the young man go wide.
"You can do that?"
"Of course, we can't stand using anti-magic chains like witches over there."
Reus glanced at a cell where there was a person behind the bars. The figure was bound by a special chain that made one unable to use magic.
Basically, the prison is ineffective for witches because they are able to exert magic from inside the prison and it is possible for them to escape, because that is why the anti-magic chain like Reus and Ikshan saw.
Different from melee weapons users like Reus and Ikshan, laypeople often think that as long as they do not hold weapons then they cannot rely on their skills. It is half right and half wrong.
Reus walked closer to the bars, he looked at one of the guards who was in charge of guarding the prison as well as holding the prison key. Reus raised his hand and deployed Telekinesis.
Reus' plan was very simple, he only needed to use Telekinesis to knock down the guard who carried the key from afar until it lost consciousness and then pull the prison key with the same skill. There is no need to be too smart to guess whether Reus' plan works or not, but there is one element that Reus does not think about.
Blaarr!
When Reus deployed Telekinesis, it was not the guard who was thrown but himself who flew and hit the prison wall. The sound of his impact was so loud that it attracted the attention of many prisoners as well as guards.
"What the fuck...."
Reus groaned in pain on the floor with his head spinning, while the guards laughed loudly at Reus' actions, while Ikshan could not comment on his response. The guards approached Reus' cell accompanied by laughter and condescending looks.
"Hahahaha, stupid prisoner! He thinks he can break through Reflector Jail?"
"Whatever skill you have, even with a weapon, even if all your attacks are aimed at the outside of the cell will only come back to you!"
After laughing at Reus, the guards left the cell and returned to their respective positions while holding back a laugh.
"You okay?"
Ikshan comes to Reus to help him, but Reus refuses. He can get up on his own, he also says he needs time to be alone for a moment.
Reus himself did not think too much about the laughter of the guards, he preferred to be silent and recuperate thanks to being hit by his own attacks.
Although Telekinesis only works on inanimate objects, Reus is able to outsmart them by targeting armor or clothing worn by opponents. This is what makes Reus able to throw Rosevince, the chairman of Gaia's Tree Alvast branch during their fight.
The same ability he used in his plan this time, unfortunately he did not know the prison where he and Ikshan were locked up was Reflector Jail.
Reus had never known about this prison before, but he could tell from the incident as well as the explanation of the guards just now all the skills and attacks that prisoners deployed with the aim of cell exit would be reflected on their own users.
It took some time for Reus to recuperate while devising a new plan.
"Oh, your face looks bright. Have you got another plan to self-destruct?"
Ikshan looked at Reus with a mocking smile, he clearly knew there was nothing they could do until the day of the execution came. The masks were both taken by the guards along with the weapons and the items on their bodies except for the clothes, no wonder Ikshan saw Reus' expression.
"Yes, that's it."
At first Ikshan only intended to mock a little as there was nothing they could do anymore to blur, but the confident smile engraved on Reus' lips left him speechless and astonished at the same time.
Reus approached Ikshan intending to explain his plan but just as he was about to do so, someone they knew came to their cell—at least Reus recognized the figure.
"Hey, you fucking kid. Thank you for your gift earlier, thanks to you I lost my favorite sword as well as my position in the Legion."
The figure was Rosevince, the chairman of Gaia's Tree branch of Alvast, one of the players Reus humiliated at the time of the previous massacre.
