Orbis Online
87. The South Horen Feet

On the way to Bailendra Kingdom, Reus had to pass through two kingdoms in the central Plainfest and one kingdom in the North Plainfest according to the direction of the continental map he had bought from an NPC at a fairly expensive price. The distance that Reus had to travel to reach the kingdom itself took more than a month.

Before starting his journey Reus also sent a message to Dunk to tell him that he had managed to get out of Chaos Lair thanks to the death of the Arshwind fire. The Dunk who received the message heaved a sigh of relief knowing Reus had come out of that monstrous Dungeon.

Reus also informs Dunk that he is on his way to Bailendra Kingdom which is north of the Plainfest continent. Hearing that Dunk wanted to come along and accompany Reus, but the silver-haired player stopped him and told him to raise his level and abilities first.

To be honest Reus himself could already sense that the difference between himself and Dunk was already widening, bringing a capable Dunk far below him would only hinder his movements. But thanks to that, Dunk also became more serious in hunting in order to increase his level and ability. He promises to meet Reus at Bailendra Kingdom after becoming stronger.

The two have established a friendship through the Orbis Online system while still in Chaos Lair, no wonder if the two can connect through messages in a very long distance though.

After more or less a day riding Reus felt tremendous pain in his tailbone and waist. He has experience in riding horses in the real world, but not in a long time like this. In the end he prefers to continue the journey on foot or run.

Several times he faced off against a mob monster of around 40s level on his journey, but all that was not a problem for him who had strength far above his own level. Most of these monsters even become boasted Reus in order to increase his level given the Expert Solution which gives 150% additional experience when he fights monsters leveled above him.

Reus is currently in a city at the foot of Mount Horen, a mountain famous for mob monsters and NPCs in the form of Yeti and Snow Trolls. To reach Bailendra Kingdom according to the map Reus must go through this mountain.

It doesn't matter if he wants to go around the foot of this mountain and pass it by spinning it, but the problem here is that the foot of Mount Horen has a diameter of about 40 kilometers and the peak reaches approximately 18 kilometers of land surface which makes it one of the largest mountains known to Orbis players Online in Plainfest continent.

Reus' face became sour when he found out this at first, but after tracing further it turns out that at an altitude of about five kilometers there is a tunnel made by a powerful swordsman in the past because it is too long for him to go through the mountain.

Arriving at the city gate Reus paid the entrance tax to some of the city gatekeepers there because it was natural that a city withdrew the entrance tax of everyone who wanted to enter his territory.

This city is named the city of Kaki Horen South which is said to have a large area because it is often visited by many traders because of its location at the foot of Mount Horen which is indeed a trade route it separates Central Plainfest from the south and north.

Reus wanted to take a rest when he arrived in this city, but it didn't seem like it could. His forehead shriveled as his gaze found this city very far from his shadow. It is true that this city is quite large for the city that is near the foot of other mountains, but the conditions do not reflect the city through which the merchant route passes.

   "What's going on here?"

This city looks like a dead city. Not many people pass by on the streets, there are even many people sitting on the side of the road or buildings with tattered clothes and malnourished bodies. Not only the population, the buildings also look very dull and bad even though most are made of concrete, then there are some ruins of buildings also in some places.

Seen a man in a lush body in luxurious clothes was walking casually carrying a large piece of grilled meat in his left hand down the city streets with two people who looked like Knight— full iron armor and a sword on the waist and shield on the left hand.

"Ah, looking at that person's expression I don't need to ask anymore about what happened to this city actually."

Reus gave a small smile guessing that the man of lush stature and luxurious dress was the mayor of this city and imposed such a high tax on its residents. He had expected there to be a problem in this city considering the entrance tax imposed on him previously was very high compared to other cities he saw from the news at the Orbis Forum.

Not wanting to be the mayor's attention, Reus walks into a small alley and walks through the town. There is a possibility that he will be involved in something that is not desirable if the mayor knows of his existence in the city of South Horen's Foot.

Reus actually felt sorry to see the condition of the residents of this city so bad, but he could do nothing with his strength reduced by quite a lot from before thanks to the class change that lowered his level by half of his total level.

He walked in search of a decent enough inn, but could not find it until sunset. As a result Reus was forced to find a makeshift inn that turned out to be quite decent to live in.

Although it is actually said to be quite feasible to live in the inn that Reus came to look very fragile and can collapse at any time, then the interior is quite bad. At least this inn looks better than some of the inns he met before.

"Ah, there's a customer. You want to spend the night here?"

"Yes, I just wanted to rest last night."

   "Well, it costs 1000 Byl."

Reus' eyes were a little overwhelmed to hear the cost of his lodging even though only last night saw the condition of this inn in such a way that the price mentioned just now was not at all comparable. The NPC receptionist who greeted him at this time also seemed unhealthy and could be uprooted at any time.

Reus felt a little objection, but he paid for it and did not voice his complaint considering the condition of this city is quite severe. He walked towards his room without a sound then rested after thinking about some things.
