Upon learning of the news of Nocht possibly being in Dragnar, the capital of Bailendra Kingdom, Reus and Ikshan immediately drove their horses north past the other cities as quickly as possible.
Actually Reus still wanted to live in the cities they passed to gather information about the Arshwind Seal or anything related to Dragonreign and ancient tales, but their priority right now is to find Nocht.
The matter of the Arshwind Seal and Dragonreign could be obtained in Dragnar later, maybe even they could get more information about both of these things in the Bailendra Kingdom's Capital.
It took several days for Reus and Ikshan to reach Dragnar from the Border Town of Alaveil. They ride as long as possible using the horse whistle that Aulcrat gives, when the limit of the use of the horse is reached and returns to being the whistle then both will run.
They hardly rest during the day except when filling the stomach, the rest they continue with non-stop running assisted with Vigor Potion made by Reus.
This may sound extravagant to Reus who often takes into account money matters, but nowadays time is everything.
If only Nocht had heard the news that a pair of men had come to seek him out, Nocht could hide or even escape from Bailendra Kingdom considering that no human would dare to enter the Dragon Country in such crucial times.
If that happens then the chance of Reus and Ikshan finding Nocht will be thinning and not impossible to disappear. Although Ikshan's ability to gather information is worth a thumbs up, it is still not easy to get information about the Blackmoon Dwarf, especially if he is a human in this country.
"Running day after day endlessly like this is honestly quite exhausting, I mean mentally."
"I know that, but soon we can really rest. Look at that big gate."
Reus pointed far ahead after saying so, no more than a kilometer away from the entrance of the Capital Bailendra Kingdom, Dragnar clearly visible even from a distance so far though so big and magnificent.
"Oh, is that the giant gate and wall of the Dragonreign age?"
Ikshan clucked in amazement at the gigantic gate that Reus pointed at, he could not help but marvel at seeing not only the gate but also the entire wall that was stalking Dragnar looking so large and majestic.
Bailendra Kingdom is a kingdom called the Land of Dragons, although there are no more dragons seen in this kingdom the protective wall of its capital is indeed worthy of being nicknamed the Dragon Country that even a dragon would have difficulty entering the city if not through the air.
Reus and Ikshan decided to approach the gate intending to see this magnificent wall up close as well as enter the city, their eyes gawking violently when they were right in front of the giant walls.
"Hey, Reus."
"What?"
"Do you think ordinary civilizations are capable of building walls of this size?"
"Compared to ordinary humans like us is impossible, but if assisted by enough dragons then it is not impossible."
The two of them exchanged opinions while calculating how high the walls in front of them were. Reus suspected that at least these walls were built up to more than 100 meters.
Perhaps a tower more than 100 meters tall is not special even in the real world, but another story if it is a wall that circles a capital of one of the strongest countries in the Northern Plainfest.
"Why does this wall remind me of an old comic I've read."
"I also happen to have read it."
Reus and Ikshan looked at each other for a moment and nodded at the same time, then looked up at the end of the wall once again with the same thought coming to mind.
They dissolved into each other's minds until it was their second turn to pass through the gate examination, they were greeted by the cold and ominous gazes of both the gatekeepers and the other residents who wanted to enter Dragnar.
Reus and Ikshan both smiled dryly in response to the reaction, their existence is clearly undesirable in this place even though on their left arm there is a white cloth with a symbol of Bailendra Kingdom which indicates they are not from Menschrein Kingdom.
Despite being stared at by a number of unsavory views, Reus and Ikshan can in fact enter Dragnar without any significant problems. Reus didn't even have to show them the Strainer badge.
"Why do they just look at us so cynically? Whereas in previous cities we were always barred from entering and even expelled before you showed us the badge of the Border Guard Captain."
"I guess because this is the Capital of Bailendra Kingdom. We've been through some cities and there's nothing stopping us, so I guess that's why they're not acting that way."
Reus then glanced at the number of townspeople behind the wall who were now staring at him and Ikshan with a snide look and disgust for a moment before moving away from the two.
"Although their attitude hasn't changed much."
On the way here Reus and Ikshan have gone through several cities and all intend to stop the steps as well as expel them, not infrequently they are both approached by some residents to be robbed and killed in a deserted place.
The relationship between Bailendra Kingdom and Menschrein Kingdom has been so bad lately that many civilians are not thugs or bandits even if they openly mean bad to humans who dare to enter their country and do not exist the soldiers who prevented that from happening.
"Well, I guess that's natural considering how rotten human greed is."
Reus sighed as he shrugged his shoulders in surrender wanting to show the residents that they really had no ill intentions, whereas Ikshan himself had long since raised his hand and familiarized himself with the views of the residents of Bailendra Kingdom.
"Rather than thinking about it we better look for lodging to rest first. We can start gathering information on Nocht tomorrow."
Ikshan nodded in agreement to Reus' suggestion. Both himself and Reus had run almost non-stop from the Border Town of Alaveil to Dragnar, the Capital of the Dragon Country. It was not a close distance even though it sounded so.
Dex Reus and Ikshan's status was beyond the common sense of a player, but running from end to center of a large kingdom like Bailendra Kingdom in just a few days was mentally exhausting even though stamina could return with Vigor Potion. It was not at all easy to do by veteran players though.
Just as Reus and Ikshan were about to step out randomly intending to look for an inn that received humans, there was suddenly a commotion from a direction that caught their attention.
There were two men clashing their mouths, one was a Dragonewt while the other was human but not wearing a white cloth like Reus and Ikshan. He looked like a man with short, pitch-black hair.
Dragonewt stood up and shouted while pointing at the human sitting on the ground.
"Our restaurant doesn't accept rotten humans like you!"
"I told you I'm not human! I'm a Draconian!"
"Hmph, whether Draconian or not you are human! We don't accept all kinds of human guests! Go or I'll call the guards!"
The debate between Dragonewt and the human lasted for a while before the human decided to budge. He got up and stepped away from the restaurant while clucking dejectedly ignoring the cynical look of the entire citizens watching.
When he took the fourth step, the humans found Reus and Ikshan just a few meters away in front of him and their eyes met.
